Just been for coffee with my sister and had the best catch up but relaxing drink in a relaxing atmosphere, lovely place. The staff was lovely and it is full on olden days memorabilia with olden days music playing nicely in background.

Loved it, came in for a breakfast (they had Lincolnshire sausage..result) & straight away felt comfortable just light music in background, the decor was great pics of suffragettes & war memorabilia, the service was excellent & the food fresh ( could have done with extra sausage). The Coffee was served in a perculator so was having it how I desired, strong recommendation.what was not to like..nothing

Reyt then ,I have passed this tearooms a few times,in the past ,and I thought we should give it a try,and I can say I was not disappointed to say the least. From entering the cafe it was very nice and chilled out , nicely decorated through out . the staff was very helpful and accomodating ,and politely spoken, and a nice bit of music as well.nar then let's get down to the nitty gritty about the food in question, well we just had the sandwiches for starters very nice indeed they came with salad and crisps ,it was nice thick ,and soft brown bread , salad was nice and crispy, and for afters we had scones and jam and cream , lovely and a nice pot off tea with it as well, overall very good and reasonable prices as well to boot.and I will be going back to the Tearooms again in the near future.

My mother in law suggested that me and my husband visit this little gem for a coffee. We walked past and were a bit perturbed, it looked a little ramshackle from the outside. But inside.. The atmosphere was welcoming and we asked to sit outside on a table that had some tea pots for sale. Not a problem, a lovely gentleman whisked them away for us. The milkshake, coffee and cake arrived and it was delicious. A real treat! When we'd finished, a little girl (no older than 7) wearing a tiny pinafore, opened the door for us and asked to take our plates. Obviously learned this lovely customer service from her family. We didn't let her but gave her our empty cafetiere so that she felt helpful. She then held the door open for us and said "Thank you." This level of cuteness just added to our great experience. I hope she got an extra slice of cake for making our day!

I have been here a few times and must say the home made pie is fantastic only thing I would change is possibly thicken the gravy but not every one likes it too thick so really this isn’t a fault. I will be returning soon

We like to go into 30 Mexborough with my 93 year old father in law after taking him shopping. The atmosphere is very welcoming with staff and regular customers always ready to help him with access ( he uses a wheelchair) and getting comfortable once inside. The food is lovely, with a real home made flavour, and the setting is cosy and friendly. You never feel rushed, and it’s nice to stay for an extra coffee and chat. A great place to meet friends and family.

30 Mexborough has moved from Main Street in Mexborough to Montague Buildings on Bank Street, directly opposite the Montague Arms. The food and welcome are just the same - excellent! Do try out their delicious pies! Highly recommended!

£5.50 for a double up breakfast - Double sausage, bacon, egg, black pudding, beans, tomatoe, mushroom, hash brown and toast with tea or coffee. Value for money again. The cafe had an old-fashioned theme, with music which reminded us of the Fallout Computer game but without the violence. The teapot and saucers etc fit the theme perfectly. We are now wondering what the afternoon or high tea would be like. There is no central heating in the cafe, but plenty of heaters. If you don't like the cold be selective on where you sit.

Although I live in Mexborough, its not very often I venture on to Main Street. I needed a coffee and saw what appeared to be a tiny café. On entry what a surprise! The premises go on for ever, and the decor is very pleasant to the eye. I believe the premises are family run to a high standard, and I was entertained with ditties about local knowledge. Coffee very palatable. I had a happy half an hour break, and will certainly go back for their home made pie.

Sometimes the best places are slightly off the beaten track and so is the case with this little hidden gem 30Mexborugh is a café and interiors hybrid of a shop that is an absolute joy. What better way than to spend time waiting for your order being freshly cooked than to marvel, and possibly purchase, some of the intriguing nick nacks, ornaments and pictures on sale or relax on the sofa handily supplied admiring the unique décor and feel of the place. Helen, the proprietor always has time for a chat and her and her staff always give such a warm welcome. Décor aside, the food is equally impressive. I have always enjoyed my healthily cooked breakfast as I said earlier all freshly prepared and cooked and the standard is extremely high. Should you have specific requirements of your order, then nothing is too much trouble. The tea is always served in a good old fashioned teapot and refills are readily available. There is always a scrumptious looking selection of home made cakes which I have so far resisted the temptation to try. That said I have a dear friend who insists their carrot cake is to die for. They also offer gorgeous looking afternoon teas as well as a selection of hot meals. The café is situated on Main Street in Mexborough just s stone’s through away from the main shopping area and is really well worth the effort to go and hunt out. Trust me you will not be disappointed.

Lovely music playing in the back ground and at atmosphere you don't want to leave. No where in the area comes close to this little gem. Highly recommend the afternoon tea! Just popped in here for some late breakfast. All food was lovely and freshly cooked to order, nice seeded bread and very reasonable prices. Although we didn't try any, the fresh home made cakes looked delicious (too early in the day for cake). Definitely will give them a try next time. Staff very friend,y and efficient service.

Popped by to 30Mexborough on Main Street #Mexborough. We weren't disappointed. There was table service. The tea came out in individual pots so we basically had two teas each. The scones were very light and fluffy and came served with a portion of jam, clotted cream and butter. The staff are very friendly. The prices are very reasonable. The overall decor of the cafe is amazing as it sells items too there is so much to look at.

The Montague Arms in Mexborough is a local landmark, it stands in Montague Square on Mexboroughs High street. Slap bang opposite Wetherspoons, in fact ignore wetherspoons, because the Montague arms is a far better pub.

My family and I used to eat here when the establishment was called the 'Main Street Café' and the food was always excellent. I'm pleased to say that the standard of food has remained the same under a new name '30 Mexborough' and new ownership.

First time visiting the Cafe! Went with my 4 month old daughter and family, couldn’t have been more attentive even though it was busy. Everybody was happy, the toilet facilities were spotless and perfect baby changing station too! Will be returning for drinks and food again soon.

Called for an early lunch on Wednesday afternoon. It was very busy but luckily managed to get a table. This place is my favourite go to for breakfast or lunch. The guy is a chef… not a cook. The food he turns out… it’s fantastic. More like something you’d get in a fancy London restaurant not a little cafe in Thorne! We ordered quiche , bbq chicken toastie and chicken and leek pie and everything was perfect. All homemade, the chicken in the pie melted in the mouth. Best chips around and my quiche had a really tasty side salad with balsamic glaze. I keep saying I’m going to try a theme night here but haven’t got round to it yet, but it’s definitely something I need to try… the photos look amazing. The waitresses are always really friendly too… very clean establishment…. Best cafe in Yorkshire!!
