24 Royal Terrace Hotel in Edinburgh, City of

A very good hotel in a good, quiet location in Edinburgh. The city center is just 5 to 10 minutes away. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and well-equipped. There's a very nice bar where you can sample a few whiskeys. The breakfast is excellent, with many options to choose from. Parking is available across the street, but it's not as cheap during the day. We'd be happy to come back.

Awesome Boutique Hotel I’m writing this review based on our stay on the weekend of 8th March 2025 and I’ve only had chance to review this today. I have to say that this is a really unique hotel situated in a great location with the nicest team of staff that I have stayed in for a long time. The décor of the hotel is really well thought out and the artwork on display is really amazing with artwork in every part of the hotel. The whisky bar is definitely worth spending time in and getting to know the whisky sommelier was a pleasure as he taught me many things that I wasn’t familiar with. There are hundreds of different whiskies that are worth sampling and you’ll probably end up finding something new - I certainly did. Finally, a big thank you to all the staff that spent time with us and made our stay really special and YES, we’ll definitely be back to stay again on our next trip to Edinburgh.

An incredible hotel, they even gave us a complimentary room upgrade to a suite. The whisky lounge was fascinating, and the service was outstanding to match.

Excellent hotel, great location away from the fuzz and busy centre but walking distance,extremely helpful and kind staff! Totally recommend it!

A lovely hotel situated on Edinburgh’s Royal Terrace, staying was one of the best experiences I’ve had staying accomodation-wise so far this year. The hotel itself is eccentrically decorated with fantastical paintings and is staffed by extremely helpful and friendly people. I would like especially to give thanks to Arturo who was an amazing host and lovely to talk to, Jonathan who gave excellent advice as to vintage stores within Edinburgh, and Tony Hamblin who gave a spectacular tour of Scotland’s whiskies. I highly recommend this place if you are staying in Edinburgh, you are guaranteed to enjoy it.

Not just a fabulous Hotel, but a destination not to be missed

Spent a lovely afternoon at Fair Isle knitting workshop. The scones were delicious as was the venue and service Definitely recommend to family and friends!

This hotel is adorable and a great find! I loved the artsy elements. The breakfast was delicious and had huge portions. The staff was so helpful, kind and knowledgeable. I visited their new whisky lounge where Jonathan taught me about the Scottish whisky regions and helped me select some delicious options to try. Overall, I loved this place and will be back next time I'm in Edinburgh.
