Easy to find . Located in the main stand of the halliwell jones stadium. Lovely welcome at the reception then off to the 2nd floor restaurant. Lift is available for families and people requiring assistance with mobility. Main room is laid out with safety in mind during the covid period. Hand sanitizer and Qr track and trace are in place. Menu is simple to read . Food on offer is well worth the cost of the food on offer . On a Sunday it's a choice of 2 starters .3 choice main course one a vegetarian offer and 3 choices of dessert . Service provided by staff was excellent welcoming and very friendly. Each choice was served hot and a portion size enough to satisfy most appetite s . The room is spacious and supplied with memories and memrobelia of the past players and club glories.

We decided to book in for Sunday lunch. When we arrived we were advised that we had been upgraded to a box for a meal. It was a nice suprise and the food was amazing. Good choice of food on the menu and the staff are very attentive. Was a nice touch that Bennie and Karl Fitzpatrick was there to walk around and chat to everyone. We would 100% recommend and would book the private dining experience in the future. I really wish the restaurant a lot of success.

Having visited this place many times during the past 35+ years, we visited this evening (30th April) for a few drinks. Unbelievably, the Barmaid was the rudest and most unpleasant we've ever encountered anywhere. Frankly, she needs to be dismissed as she is not doing this establishment any favours whatsoever. Even if she's had a bad day, or has some personal/bodily issues, she is clearly in the wrong job and needs to be sacked with immediate effect. We fully understand that this place won't go under without our occasional visits, however, we will NEVER set foot in there every again & will spread the word to our many friends & family. Good riddance the Hop Pole.

Absolutely furious! Spent over £30, food was due to arrive at 8:10 then said it had arrived it hadn’t got here at 8:55 and was freezing cold, I rang the restaurant and he couldn’t give me an answer. He just said well It was Hot when it left….! All food stone cold and thrown in the bin! And now it’s gone 9pm and we haven’t ate.! My partner has coeliac and the gluten free food wasn’t even labelled!
