lovely food but always late to deliver

Awful, main part of order missing and paltry response from restaurant. The food i did receive was really nice but won't order again.

Delivery was late, food was cold and bland not as described on the menu

1 hour 30 & Nearly 11 calls later I get through to the restaurant who seem to be too busy to talk to me about where my order is.. then told it will be another 15- 20 minutes ( so it hadn’t even left yet) & 40 minutes later my order arrives cold.

called and they said 10mins away, over an hour ago

The food was great, really enjoyable, there was 1 thing though, I ordered the Island pizza with pepperoni as an extra topping, I got a pizza with just pepperoni on it, which I thought was a bit strange as I'd paid for the Island pizza(didn't get it)

Portion size for rice & peas and brown chicken stew was pathetically small,especially as I ordered the large meal.Food was changed to delivered on the app 35 minutes before I received it and 50 minutes after the confirmed delivery time notification. Customer service appalling, tried to add an item to the order but this was to much trouble for the store staff, delivery driver turned up with an awful attitude blaming the restaurant and also refused to stamp my loyalty card.Horrendous experience.

Cold food and delivery was about 2 hours late. If they could be honest about delivery times, it would probably be worth the wait. I really hope they can get it right

Didn’t actually eat this food, it was disgustingly, swimming in grease. The salad was old and brown and the mac n cheese was like rubber

Food very late and arrived cold. Portion of sweet potato fries poor considering cost and they were stone cold. Steak tough and overcooked and chicken wings dry. It’s a shame as flavours really good but for the price and the delivery time well off. Always been a long wait for pixis but seem to have got longer and quality worse.

First time ordering from Pixis, and it’ll be our last. Delivery took 2 hours, meaning it was 1 hour late. The chicken in the wrap and burger was undercooked - pink & rubbery. Salad on the burger and wrap was non existent - I am unsure as to how one piece of lettuce constitutes salad. Ordered a side order of plantain - 3 tiny pieces? Horrendous all round!

Food is always delicious, delivery can sometimes be a little slow but the chicken stew and rice and peas is amazing! The jerk chicken is the perfect blend of spice and flavour 👏

Good was absolutely amazing no grease loads of flavour. Slight hiccup with missing items however a quick call to them and they delivered the missing items. Can’t ask for more than that. Will definitely order again.

AVOID AT ALL COST! We waited 2 hours. It was updated on the app as delivered so I called to be told it was 20 mins away. Then the place is marked as closed. Probably should have read the reviews first as it seems it’s pretty much the same for most. £35 order plus £8 delivery. If you can’t meet orders don’t take them or reduce your radius

food is currently over an hour late. Asked for a delivery update via text and got no response. Have tried calling repeatedly but no answer. Have left a message on the call waiting but had no reply. Very disappointing as I have had several orders from here which have all been lovely. It is particularly irritating to see the food marked as 'delivered' when that is not the case.

Took over 2 hours to arrive and if the food was good I could have forgiven that but it was cold, badly tasting and very disappointing. Ive ordered before over a year ago and it was always good food. But every dish was poor quality this time :(

I don’t usually leave reviews but the service we have had tonight was horrendous. I’ve been ordering from pixies for a good few years, tell all my friends how amazing the food is… until now. nearly 2 hours for stone cold food. Half the order missing and what i can only describe as the dregs from the bottom of the pan! when i rang to question i was met with ‘and what do you want me to do about it’. Will not be ordering ever again!

Staff at Pixies are A* I got Brown Stew Chicken with Rice & Peas was Spot-On. If you like your food with a bit more heat speak to staff they'll add a scotch bonnet chilli pepper!!

I’ve been ordering from Pixis for a long time, but the service is extremely unreliable. The delivery times are often extremely long, sometimes close to 2 hours, and this happens almost every time I order. Recently, I preordered at 3 PM for 6:30 PM thinking it would come in time, but the food didn’t arrive until nearly 8 PM. When it did, a significant part of my order was missing. On top of that, the food is usually cold by the time it arrives. At least in the past, the food used to arrive warm, even if it was late. Now, it feels like the quality has completely gone out the window. I’ve decided not to order again, as the frequent delays, missing items, and cold food make it not worth it.

Although delivery took a while so worth the wait food was full of flavour tasty and fresh delivery driver was lovely and apologetic about the wait will definitely order again or visit the restaurant it’s self

Food was ordered at 6.10pm and received a delivery notification of 6.45-7.05pm food has still not arrived. Spoke with the restaurant directly at 7.30 and they informed of delivery difficulties however assured me they would get the delivery to me by 8.10pm still not arrived at 8.20pm this is absolutely unacceptable Eventually arrived at 8.30pm

Waited over 2 hours for my order. The status was marked at delivered which it was not. Ask for an update to be told the courier was on the way. Waited another 45 minutes. Called the place 3 times and no answer. I have contacted to get my money refunded. Terrible service. Especially marking the order as delivered when it hasn't.

Can’t comment on the quality of the food as Iv order over an hour ago and it’s still not arrived. If the restaurant can’t deliver within the timeframe then they should lower the radius. Ridiculous

Over an hour late, rude staff and when the food finally did get here it was cold. Mac and cheese was stuck together and tasteless, chicken & chips were dry. Absolutely would not recommend,

I have seen this place a few times but never tried it went gym tonight and were given a leaflets so got home and place a order very impressed lovely people and food is 100% will be using again and will recommend them 😉👍

Dont bother ordering from here unless your really not hungry. Food ordered, took two hours to come, we had family over and after receiving their leaflet through the post thought i would try again as id been in the past. Food took two hours, kids meals were missing and food arrived cold so we ended up having to put the oven on anyway to cook something for the kids and warm the food up. The customer service is disgusting after a long period of time on the phone we came to the agreement (although not entirely satified id given up at this point) to accept £20 refund considering it was a big order. We were told to send our bank details which we did... Then told it will be sent on monday when banks are open.. still waiting. After phoning and asking when the money will be sent a guy that works there said 'the manager isnt in sorry' so i continued to ask when the manager will be in and can they phone me back... Literally a second later the SAME GUY comes back on the phone and says 'Hello Pixis' i knew it was the same voice so i stayed quiet, to which he says 'im the manager' honestly this place is a joke and we will be getting our refund, we arent the first people by the looks of things!

I’ve had food from Pixis in Warrington several times. I’ve never once been disappointed. I usually go into the shop and order and take my food home. The food is excellent, the flavours are amazing and the quality and price is great too. This is a small business and food is cooked to order so sometimes you have to wait. But I can tell you, it’s well worth the wait. 5* from me

Curry goat was old meat swimming in oil, inedible. Pattie was a cornish pastrie and burnt. Plantain was burn and soggy and the mac n cheese was just pasta with microwaved cheese on top. Pictures we have taken reflect all of this. Highly disappointed

Absolutely phenomenal as always, never once ordered and been disappointed! Food is delicious, and always arrives fresh and hot. The gentleman who delivered our food was so polite and lovely, amazing customer service and amazing food, everytime.

I'm not ordering here again. my food came after 2 hours, no sauce and ridiculously bad customer service. I just wanted a little taste of home. This is disappointing.

AVOID!!!!! I ordered my food at 19:20 tonight, on a Monday so definitely not peak time. I called up shortly after just to confirm with the store that they had received my order. The guy who answered took 5 minutes to let me know about whether my order had been received and when he advised that they did have my order it was not very convincing as he was tripping over his own words. 9pm arrived, still no food and so I rang the restaurant again, then I was met with stuttering answers once again and was told that due to a driver not showing up all orders were delayed, I asked for an ETA and was told it was on its way. 09:30pm and still no food, rang the restaurant and no answer. I rang one last time and was met with the rude, lying staff member again who then told me that they were waiting on a driver. Do not order from here, literally ripping people off!!!

Only 15mins late so not devastating. First time I’ve tried Jamaican food, fancied something a bit different from the normal takeaway order. Food was overall really tasty, I’d say the portion of chips was a bit on the small though but if that’s all I have to moan about (pretty good at moaning) then it must be decent

I rent the restaurant nearly an hour after my delivery time and the lady said it’s still in the shop we’re waiting for driver, I said my food is going to be cold, anyways my order turned up over an hour late, it was stone cold with a thick layer of oil on top, was inedible so gave it to the dog 😔

Fantastic food, never had a bad meal from Pixis. Also a great healthy alternative to a take away if you want it to be. Chicken falls off the bone, everything is perfectly seasoned.

Ordered through their Warrington branch via Uber Eats, they then passed the order to their St Helens restaurant due to supposed traffic at 8pm on a Friday night which had then closed so uncontactable. 2 hours later order still not received and staff put the phone down when queried. Disgusting service for regular customers will not order again! Uber Eats also useless and pass the responsibility back the restaurant who are no help.

Rang the restaurant, no help. All they could tell me is that the food was on it's way. The app said it had been delivered for 20 minutes before the food actually arrived.

Placed order delivery was 18.30 then it changed 18.45 it finally arrived barely hot at 19.25. It’s a shame as good food was ruined.

it was very late but to be fare it was directed to Warrington branch I live in knowsley I rang up and complained and it was changed to st Helens branch so that's why it was late....but the food was amazing.... rice peas✅ ox tail on the bone with a sauce✅ dumplings✅ and vegetable pattie✅. deffo be back for more 👍

Food was Good when it finally arrived. From ordering to delivery took 2hrs 15minutes. Also £8 charge for delivery is extreme, When other takeaways in the same location charge £4.50 to my address

My experience here was not excellent at all. I took a while before doing this review I had 2 bad experience on 2 different occasions and I have decided I would never eat there again. 1st experience I had order fried plantain and they were soaked in oil so much so that several tissues were used to take the oil out. Voiced my concerns and the young man stated it is because the plantains were ripe he didn't offer to exchange or anything like that. Now I also fry plantain and they can become like that if u put them in the oil before it's properly heated. 2nd experience was the one that made us decide we would no longer eat there, my partner order oxtail and it was quite a big one it appeared steaming hot when he received it however the inside was still frozen, we informed them and we were then told they can reheat it and that they store the food for 2-3 days and that's y the inside was like that. The offered to give us another defrosted meal which we declined.

Had takeaway delivered to a hotel. Ordered via the Uber Eats app. Placed an order for oxtail but received a call shortly after to explain that they didn't have any left. This was fine, it was late on a Sunday evening after all. I had the curry goat instead. It was very tasty and a good sized portion. The food was delivered quickly.

Ordered from the wrong restaurant, further away from my home. After phoning the closer branch (widnes) they took care of my order for me without extra charge, very helpful staff and very good food!
