Lovely place, great food, amazing atmosphere! Love, love, love this little place, nice for a little lunch, or evening drinks. Food is lovely and really reasonable prices. The owners Steve and Wendy are just the nicest!

1832 Barista is brilliant. Steve and Wendy the owners lay on the best beverages around and the food is always absolutely on point! This is now a regular treat for us, visiting 2-3 times per week if we can. Always consistently awesome.

Excellent service here lovely staff excellent food not overpriced very nice Christy bacon on toast with melted cheese and Lily chheses on toast they know how to cook and serve food here very clean very pleasant we travelled from Stoke on Trent for the car show in the high st well worth the travel for excellent food we will bevtravelling again

We called in for a drink and some cake during the heavy rain and following a long day travelling. It was a very welcome break with really excellent coffee and very tasty cake. Loved the atmosphere and the decor and surroundings. Its only small but perfectly formed!

We arrived a little early and the server said, you're 10 minutes early but you'd better sit down. The tea was brought but we had to ask for white sugar. We had 1 plate and 1 knife each to go along with a cream tea for 2. The bread on the sandwiches was a little bit hard but nonetheless delicious. We had to ask for more cutlery as we had chutney and coleslaw with the sandwiches. Then we had to ask for a clean plate and cutlery for the desserts which consisted of cakes and scones . Had a second pot of tea which was nice and hot. Then we asked for the cakes to be boxed up to take away as we were full, (the waitress told us we wouldn't eat it all ) the server shouted how many boxes do you want, I said I'm not sure as I don't know how big the box is? All in all I thought the lack of attention to detail was a bit of an issue. Wouldn't go back again as was a bit disappointed

This is now our favourite little coffee shop. Steve and Wendy know everyone's names and are very welcoming and personable. The coffee and teas are great and there's a good selection. The food is excellent and we are now regulars and love going in. We have been in for lunch, brunch, breakfast and will be calling in soon as Barista now opens for breakfast the first Sunday of each month.

Lovely atmosphere nice friendly staff, good selection of food and drinks. Coffee was very good, frothy and full of flavour. Average cup size is large for a cappuccino, prices are comparable for the area.

I came across this cafe/coffee bar while in the area for work. The staff (possibly the owners) were friendly and welcoming. Great selection of quality food and drink at very reasonable prices. The homemade soup was very tasty and filling. The sweet treats and cakes are too good to pass over too! If you're visiting the area or passing through, I highly recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed.

Had a lovely breakfast this morning at 1832, great service, nice atmosphere and great place to relax after dropping the kids off at school 👍🏼

As a coffee lover, I havent had a better cup anywhere. The choice of cakes and biscuits are to die for and the breakfast/lunch options are far better than any greasy spoon. Homemade soups, pie and peas etc. You cannot beat the quality and the effort from the owners and wendys home baking.

We’ve just moved to Bacup from Staffordshire. And this is a local bar and cafe. Steve and Wendy the owners remember everyone by name and are so welcoming. As well as serving fantastic quality food and drink. Dog friendly too. This is now our weekly treat. Barista 1832 has also just won an award for being a community asset and for what they give back.

Ordered a take out afternoon tea. Amazing. Great quality. Great price. Lovely staff. Couldnt recommened enough.

This is a fabulous cafe bar, the decor is beautiful and the food is excellent. It has a friendly, vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, great range of sandwiches, cakes, smoothies and coffees as well as a well stocked selection of alcoholic beverages including cocktails. The service is friendly and extremely efficient. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

I've always wanted to try this cafe but never had the opportunity, due to covid lockdown, until this week. Comfortable, cosy and very well decorated. My baby boy loved looking at the lights and taking in the surroundings. Great choice of drinks at fair prices. Plus lots of tasty cakes and treats to tempt you! The cafe was very clean including the toilet. Really friendly and welcoming barista who served me - this makes such a difference compared to some of the big chain coffee shops. I'd much rather spend my money and time here. I'll definitely return so I can try out the rest of the cakes!

This is the most amazing cafe which I found very recently. Everything about it is so well done from its delightful facade to the very charming and well thought out interior. Thanks all at 1832 I asked on booking if the table could be decorated for my wife's birthday this was done brilliantly. The cocktails and overall environment was spot on well worth another visit.

This a new business to Bacup and the proprietors have developed a lovely atmosphere. The decor is clean and inviting. They offer a variety of ‘coffee shop’ beverages and soft drinks as well as cakes and snacks. Prices are reasonable. Would highly recommend. I
