We visited this stunning little gem of a place for lunch and it was amazing the food all cooked to order was super fresh and incredibly tasty!! Leanne and her team are friendly, funny and very accommodating, there were empty plates all around I can recommend this place more highly get yourself over there and enjoy good quality food in amazing surroundings

Can't fault the food it was lovely, but if you have a dog, you are in the lobby, basically main entrance/ corridor. Tables for 2 either side with no room under tables for your dog to keep out of the way. Where every customer needs to walk through to access other tables and the garden. It’s an accident waiting to happen to customers, or their dogs. My daughter’s assistance dog got trodden on, she yelped but didn’t react otherwise, another dog may have growled or snapped (understandably). Owner/manager would NOT accommodate an assistance dog in another area more suitable with more space, apparently, we should have booked the one table with more space in the “dog” area. There were tables available in the garden area but these were not offered. As I said food was great, but dogs are tolerated, not welcome. I did discuss with owner/manager that an assistance dog should have been allowed in other areas (by law) but to no avail. So sadly although the food was good and we visit Torrington regularly we will not be going back.

I've eaten here many times. Always great service and the menu always has a great mix of options - it's always hard to choose as it's all tasty (pancakes with bacon probably my fav). Not the easiest to find in town but worth searching out.

This was my first visit even though I regularly walk in this area. It won't be my last! Beautiful setting. Lovely staff. Great coffee and fabulous home-made cake (lemon - gorgeous). I wonder how many residents of Great Torrington realise how lucky they are to have such lovely walks on their doorsteps and a selection of unique shops/cafes. Long may it last.

Lovely lunch with relaxing birdsong from the garden. Great choice of food plus always something exciting in the specials board.

A total rip off, so overpriced…you aspect for some quality, but any festival food truck have higher quality. £7,50 for an appetizer composed of falafel & hummus for one( barely), very scarce, at least the falafel was good, the hummus as good as the ones sold on tesco, and £15 for a basic cheeseburger( horrible) that didn’t worth £5, I wouldn’t pay £5 for a dry old bum with an overcooked, dry, unflavored, and certainly frozen patty, served with and mediocre salad and processed yellow cheese ( sottilette kind)Horrible, horrible, bad and cheap ingredients, badly cooked and overcharged. I was charged £35 for that with one drink and 10% service . Total rip off.
