Very nice coffee stop near the station.

Great service and having finished our meal me and the wife went for a stroll about town when the wife discovered she may have lost her phone and purse 👛 so we went back to the 1066 and spoke to one of the members of staff who went straight to the counter and returned the items to my wife . Great service good food and coffee definitely recommend it.

The absolute 100% best coffee I’ve ever had. I’m a very regular customer and would never drink or eat anywhere else in the town lovely friendly helpful staff to makes the whole experience worthwhile.

Long wait to be served went upstairs as no room downstairs while waiting to be served they put barrier across stairs when some of our party already upstairs and there was 2 children running riot parents not taking any notice almost knocked tray with hot drinks over them !mothers didn't say a word won't be going back there for a while

Today we visited this cafe, ordered a mini pizza and a roll, sat down to have a snack on the street... But immediately the bird was tired, straight from the plate... Seeing the workers of this cafe, they provided a new portion... Very nice... Attention to customers at the highest level ... 07/10/2024....thank you so much for your attention, it’s very nice.

Great coffee teas iced drinks , cakes, scones savoury pastries, and delicious sandwiches , plenty of seating also upstairs seating , little play corner for little ones and disabled toilet on the ground floor .

It's Okay. Cakes are very good but snack menu is reallt expensive, as are drinks hot or cold. Costa is cheaper.

Amazing vegan options, including toasties, pastries, sandwiches and drinks. The staff are so helpful and friendly, making for a very nice environment. Lots of seating available inside, outside and upstairs. Bathrooms are upstairs and are clean and tidy. Takeaway option is available for everything.

Love the place. Nice hot teas and coffees, nice variety of cakes and snacks, comfortable seating areas.

Myself and my wife come here regularly and always have good service. The food is very good. We will keep coming back.

Limited choices but what they had was reasonable. Surprised at how cheap it was for that type of place. Worth a look. Possibly sandwiches or rolls? Something savoury rather than sweet. As a bakery, we had hoped to find some fresh bread to take home.

Cute little cafe we spotted on our way, great pricing. I highly recommend their Chai, the vanilla chai was one of the best ones I’ve had, didn’t expect it from this little cafe in a village. Their Apple Cornish pie is good as well.

Wow so friendly . Great food . I’ve had a gastric sleeve so not eating carbs . Was happy for me to have just bacon and Brie and it’s was delicious. Hubby had a cheese roll with bacon and Brie . Worth the money . Can not fault will be back 😊

This place was super busy, the staff were awesome and serving at a frantic pace. The pastries were super tasty, the chocolate danish was not overly sweet and very much recommended. The croissant i had was nothing to write home about, all coffees come with single shot so its very very mellow, if u want the caffeine hit go for a double as then its just warm milk.

Always very good but prices of sausage rolls and bacon rolls are prohibitive now so no longer buy them. Coffee and cakes excellent

We had a biscoff milkshake it was absolutely horrible tasted like a mouthful of cinnamon.

Probably one of the worst coffees I have had in a long while 👎 Only took about 3 seconds to extract, was very weak and watery, the water even tasted a bit off. My partners flat white was fine. I feel bad now because I should have asked for a new coffee. 😕

Great Staff, Great Coffee. The one thing that would improve the cafe is to have the hot food under lights like in the branch in Bexhill. Using a microwave to warm up food leaves the food soft not crispy

Being a northerner I have to say not many independent businesses last very long. Hastings is very different with lots of independent cafes, bars and restaurants. I regularly travel down to Hastings and this time to quench my coffee addiction I tried a new coffee cafe called 1066 What to say?! As soon as I walked the staff were automatically friendly and very welcoming. From the amazing food display and and fantastic smells as you walk in, 1066 is a beauty and Hastings. The croissant and coffee was delectable. You can tell it is all fresh made. The cafe itself is clean and and has a homely atmosphere to it This is now a new favourite each I come to Hastings now To all the staff, keep up the good work and the winning formula you have going 👍🏻

It is a lovely coffee shop on the corner of the road that goes up to Priory Meadow. Opposite the cinema. It even has an upstairs. Very reasonablely priced coffees and tea. The pastries are lovely and tasty the cheese straws are so long well worth the money. The Eccles cakes are so large and so tasty and the Apple puffs are so tasty too. All the bakery items smell and taste lovely. Staff are lovely friendly and helpful.

Very smart large bakery cafe. Good coffee. The staff were very nice - it was obvious that they get quite a few regulars here, and the staff knew names and regular drink selections. Recommended on the way to the train station.

Went there 28th sept was waiting inthe queue there was a woman in front of me i think she worked there and it was her day off she was showing other staff what she had bought and chatting with all staff members i was getting no acknowledgement from the staff they were to busy saying to her wish you were working etc i waited a while still never got served ended up at greggs who had a long queue but were professional and served me quick will not go back to 1066 again

Dropped in to escape the rain at this very popular and aptly named cafe. Was extremely busy and had to queue to order for 10minutes but settled down in a seat for lovely coffees. Oat flat white (45p extra for Oat- a bit steep but I have paid it before) and cappuccino were both excellent and the clearly regular clientele were all pleasant. Nice place to watch the world go by, but not the place you would go for quirk or wonder

Often pop in for a latte and cake, always served with a smile and a how are you today? Mel and her team work hard to ensure the cafe is clean, tidy and service is efficient! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and shall be returning soon.

The food is mediocre at best. The hot food is lukewarm at best, even with things like chicken inside. I also had a milkshake at this place and there was no flavour it was very bland and overpriced for what it was and what was given. For a green tea, milkshake and 2 toasties it was nearly £20, which is usual for a café, but the quality didn't live up to the price. The metal chairs were very uncomfortable too, so I couldn't enjoy my lunch even if it was good. Also charging 20p for a small sauce packet is a bit of a rip off.

Shocking service, they only bought out half our food! We enquired to where the rest of our order was with a member of staff and again nothing!! Topped of with a lame apology and refund.

It serves a real 'large' cup of coffee! Why do so many other coffee shops refuse to follow Costa and Starbucks, and give huge cups like they do? The staff were friendly and attentive, and there are views outside all around. The cake was good too. Recommended.

The hot chocolate was not hot and was very watery the coffee wasn't much better sue is the only one who does it right so will only come in when she is on

Basic sandwich place that’s ok at best. The toasted sandwich was just plain bread put in an oven. Don’t expect a golden toastie, but does the trick if you want a quick lunch

Great sandwiches. Tea fantastic. Cake delicious. Staff friendly. Could the disabled toilet be for people with disabilities or mobility issues and not everyone. I had to wait for the queue for people , all able to walk upstairs and stand up without pain. I have mobility issues, and i am not able to stand up for long. Get a Radar key 🔑 please

Well when my late wife and our children lived at st leonards on sea i used to buy there fantastic sausage rolls,and i have since been there to hastings on the bus bought more i love them,my daughter and her husband are here for 9 days so this moirning they going to or have bought me 6 sausage rolls,yum yum.

The staff were very friendly, the store was cleaned at all times. The pastries were fresh and they served quickly

Food great, staff friendly, lovely atmosphere, decor had a major uplift since I was last here many years in its former life as Mr Bean's Coffee House. Special mention for the server who gave excellent service to the disabled customer ahead of me in the queue, helping her with her order and to put her change away as well as sorting out bringing her order to her table. It was lovely to see.

All very nice but quite expensive for a no frills toasted bacon sandwich no garnish at all was told bread was very thick which it wasn't at all it came out and I was so disappointed as ordered sourdough toasted bacon sandwich but it was so thin not a huge amount of bacon In it either cost me £7.00 for the toastie and a regular sized latte I could have had a 8 piece breakfast and a drink for that price
