The best restaurants serving Tapas food in Northern Ireland

DISAPPOINTED! REAL FEEDBACK FROM REAL CUSTOMER Have been a customer for many, many years. In the beginning, the price of the dishes did match the price. I loved the goat’s cheese and still do. HOWEVER, for a while now, instead of getting a full portion of goat’s cheese, which it is wrap in parma ham, they decided to cut the dish in half and the price is almost double now (8 pounds for half of a slice). OK! I love the dish, and I was still willing to pay. So, me and my husband went in November (cos the food is lovely) and the portions in NOVEMBER WERE GOOD. HOWEVER, IN DECEMBER, the same food was served with the same price (8 POUNDS) even in a smaller tapas tray that we ever seen. Obviously, we complained. The owner was not there, and the manager tried to apologize, requesting our names to check if we were regular customers. Even stated he could not find my husband’s name on the system. WE WERE REGULAR CUSTOMERS AND WE WILL NEVER GO BACK EVER! Charging the same price for half portions just because is Christmas is DEFINITELY DECEIVING CUSTOMER (TOLD THIS TO THE MANAGER). This is deceiving and people should not pay for something that does not reflect the price. Cutting the portions in half and charging the same money is a rip off! Disaster and I really miss ~La Tasca Restaurant which had a fair price for food!

Such a special place - my wife and I have so many happy memories over the years of dining at The Barking Dog. Leader of the pack and one of the best in Belfast it has been a firm favourite restaurant of ours for a very long time. Never easy saying goodbye we managed two visits in its final week and as always it delivered on fabulous food complimented by friendly and first class service with lots of positive energy and atmosphere despite that dreaded closure just days away - true professionals to the very end. Thanks to Michael and every member of his talented team over the years for always stepping up to the plate and delivering a service second to none. Special mention is due on that final Friday evening to Lauren, Charlotte, Ciara and Anna as we sat at our favourite window table basking in glorious spring sunshine and reflecting on what has been a memorable and unmissable journey. Thanks for everything - it has been a blast!
