Wee Lochan

Partick West, Glasgow City
17/04/2019: We have been visiting Wee Lochan for years. We love it.
13/04/2019: We visited here the first night of a midweek break for 6 of us and had booked in advance. This intimate venue is lovely with very nice staff. Initial impressions of the menu was limiting for us but this helped us the be adventurous, and everyone loved their meals. Guinea fowl was particularly nice, with 2 others loving the vegetarian options, and another a lovely steak, and the last had rabbit. The whole meal was fabulous and the best of our meal outs in our city break. Highly recommended

The Fish People Cafe

Govan, Glasgow City
13/04/2019: Excellent meal in a small but lovely restaurant. Enjoyed everything and found staff very welcoming and helpful.
08/04/2019: Why surprisingly?.. Well, this appears to be nothing more than a misplaced kiosk pressed up against a multi-storey car park and next to the subway station in a pretty bleak part of town... But on this particular grey, drizzling and cold Sunday lunchtime... it was like entering Pandora's Box or some sort of gastronomic Tardis...Warm and very welcoming and comfortable. AS the name suggests, these people are very serious about very good fish and seafood. The haddock and pea soup was superb, the beer battered fish delivered Britain's once favourite dish to perfection and the delicious crab linguine was full of moist South Coast crab with perhaps a little too much chilli. The convenience of this unlikely eatery is all about transportation... very handy for park & ride... and so an excellent spot to eat before or after a trip into town.

Two Fat Ladies at the Buttery

Anderston / City, Glasgow City
19/04/2019: When we arrived we were greeted by a warm welcome and showed to the bar while we waited for our table. We were offered a sample of the house red which was exceptional and we much preferred to one of the more expensive wines on the menu. We had to wait a while for the table we had booked however the food was worth the wait. There was a great choice of vegetarian and vegan options on a separate menu and the food was delicious. The staff were very attentive, professional and friendly and made it a wonderful experience for our anniversary meal. We would classify this as a hidden gem as it was in a bit of a strange location but definitely worth going to.
18/04/2019: We went here for my birthday & I’m so pleased we did! The building is so gorgeous inside. Linen table cloths, cut glass and real silver. The service from our waiter Mark was outstanding-thank you. And the food... where to start. Delicious doesn’t really does it justice! All 3 courses where chosen from an extensive menu and personally, it was perfect to have a vegetarian menu to chose from. Beautifully presented food that was unusual and mouth watering!

19/04/2019: Having stayed in the area now for 3 years we kept saying we wanted to try this restaurant but due to kids and commitments we have never managed to.......that is until today! The Kids were at nursery and my husband suggested a lunch date and we decided to finally give Bella Vita a try. I called quickly to check they could

Celino’s

East Centre, Glasgow City, 30-45£
18/04/2019: We went for breakfast on Sunday morning and it was simply outstanding. The French toast with mozzarella and maple syrup was just delicious. Staff were all lovely! Highly recommend and will definitely return!
15/04/2019: Celino's is fast becoming a family favourite. Again we were not disappointed at all by the level of service we received on an exceptional busy Mother's day, 3 course for £19.95 you couldn't ask for more! Can't wait to go back! As usual we spent a small fortune at the deli counter, which again is all absolutely delicious

Rose and Grants (Tronsgate)

Calton, Glasgow City
Me encantó.

Hillhead, Glasgow City
13/04/2019: Hubby and I there, not been in a while - proved still to be my favourite restaurant in the West End! Itison 5 course tasting menu. Food was beautiful and service as always impeccable! We had pre-arranged no fish or seafood and that was no problem at all. Well done team - I've missed you! If you haven't eaten there yet...tsk tsk...
09/04/2019: Lovely meal with friendly informative service. We opted for the tasting menu option with wines. Really nice ambiance. Well done.

111 by Nico

Maryhill / Kelvin, Glasgow City
15/04/2019: After visiting Six by Nico a number of times we received gift vouchers for Christmas to use here at 111 by Nico. We were able to book at short notice, and both had the Trust menu, but my wife sneaked a peak and I didn't. Each course was explained in detail by the attentive staff, and as per Nico’s standards elsewhere, we were not disappointed!
14/04/2019: Visited for the first time Sat 12th April with friends, the surroundings and service were excellent. The trust taster menu was brilliant, not the biggest portions but after 6 courses you wont go home hungry. The quality of the food and flavours were amazing, each member of staff carefully explained what ingredients had been used for every course.

Roastit Bubbly Jocks

Partick West, Glasgow City
19/04/2019: Having four dedicated foodies staying for the weekend, l thought Roastit Bubbly Jock was the safest place to dine. We were not disappointed. For starters, three of us opted for the unsurpassable chowder whilst the others had a pear walnut and Strathdon blue cheese, prawn bruschetta and a Scallop and black pudding. These were all declared fabulous. Mains were equally good, with the Venison voted star of the show. Portions here are large so we shared three of the deserts which ranged from the traditional to the very inventive. Even the coffee was great using a local coffee co. All of the food comes from the best of suppliers and can be traced to source. The staff are passionate about the preparation and are very friendly. There is always a good vibe about the place and the price is very reasonable for the high quality. The only question from my friends was, When are you opening in London? I highly recommend this restaurant. Ann G.
16/04/2019: Visited with a large group to celebrate my parents silver wedding anniversary. We were looked after superbly with everyone really going to distance to make us feel welcome. Cannot recommend highly enough if you want a quality meal with energetic, engaging and super friendly staff. Thanks so much guys.

Mini Bar Glasgow

Anderston / City, Glasgow City, <20£
19/04/2019: I looked up reviews of restaurants near our hotel and the Mini Grill popped up with good reviews. It was only a block and half away. So we headed out...when we got there we were unsure if it was even open...but later learned it was do to the holiday weekend. You have to go down a set of stairs to what was a basement. We had a very nice lunch. Our server Ryan was attentive and fun to chat with. My husband had the salmon. I had the Glasgow Burger. It’s cooked to a medium point so if you want something different make such you request it. The accompanying potatoes were very tasty!
16/04/2019: This was our first visit to Mini Grill while on a weekend away in Glasgow - i just google searched “Glasgow steakhouse” And then chose one of the first that came up. And I’m so glad I chose this one! It is not too big so feels really comfy and chilled out but still very classy. The staff were so attentive and friendly and really went out of their way to make sure we had a lovely time, although the food speaks for itself! My partner and I shared the chateaubriand steak platter with our sides of “haggis in a Yorkshire” and thick cut chips. The meal took a little while to come (not that we noticed for chatting, and wine) and the staff were completely apologetic and just explained that there had been a slight mix up due to how busy they were, this was absolutely fine with us however even after our meal we were offered complimentary drinks to make up for it! I can honestly say it was hands down the best meal and definitely best steak the both of us have ever had and was worth any kind of wait. Will definitely be back here when next in Glasgow, and we have made sure all family and friends know of this wee place too! Thanks guys for a lovely visit.

The Pot Still

Anderston / City, Glasgow City, <20£
19/04/2019: Looking for some local flavor, we found this spot. Award winning and home to over 700 whiskeys. There very friendly staff helped us find a couple local whiskeys and Scottish Ale to try. Ver cool interior. Small and very crowded. Whiskey drinkers and pub affectionadoes will love it!
16/04/2019: If you like whisky this is definitely the place to visit. I was visiting Glasgow for a long weekend and stopped in for a few drinks. I told them what I typically drink and they quickly came up with a selection of new things for me to try. Describing the process and flavors of the lot, the two ladies at the bar not only knew your standard textbook replies, but had a real knowledge of the distilleries and personal opinions of the drinks they showcased. I settled on 6 drams and a half pint and ordered a pie and chips so I wasn't doing this on an empty stomach.
