Just a little way beyond The Horsenden Loaf, Horsenden Farm itself hosts a programme of weekly Sunday Roasts under cover within the farm building complex which are not only extraordinarily good value but are composed of the highest quality of ingredients we have come across anywhere. Choices are of roast topside of Beef alongide slow-roasted Pork with crispy crackling, and for vegetarians Field Mushroom Wellingtons, accompanied by roasted potatoes, carrots and roots, not forgetting Yorkshire puddings, all of which are expertly prepared. The restaurant serves two sittings i.e. 1.00 and 3.00. The only disadvantage, perhaps, is that although the food comes to the table hot, on hot plates, it tends to cool more rapidly that it might otherwise do were it served within doors.
