The Horsenden Loaf in Ealing

Just a little way beyond The Horsenden Loaf, Horsenden Farm itself hosts a programme of weekly Sunday Roasts under cover within the farm building complex which are not only extraordinarily good value but are composed of the highest quality of ingredients we have come across anywhere. Choices are of roast topside of Beef alongide slow-roasted Pork with crispy crackling, and for vegetarians Field Mushroom Wellingtons, accompanied by roasted potatoes, carrots and roots, not forgetting Yorkshire puddings, all of which are expertly prepared. The restaurant serves two sittings i.e. 1.00 and 3.00. The only disadvantage, perhaps, is that although the food comes to the table hot, on hot plates, it tends to cool more rapidly that it might otherwise do were it served within doors. Desserts are all part of the deal, so the place is a 'must' nonetheless for those who like to see real quality served up at an exceptional bargain price. Book online through The Perivale Brewery.

We come to Horsenden Farm on an occasional basis and when we do we buy bread here. Today we bought a rosemary loaf,some almond biscuits and coffees. All their products are super quality. I think they are open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays but check hours before you come.

Shhhhh! Let’s keep this hidden gem to ourselves! This was a wonderful outdoor refreshment stop during our bike ride from Ealing, via Park Royal. The homemade sausage rolls are tasty, the brownies were delicious and we had great coffee too. I bought their cheese bread too which we can’t wait to tuck into. The staff are friendly and the location is so beautiful and peaceful, you wouldn’t know you were close to the A40! They have a garden produce stall and some other small units selling lovely crafts and gifts.
