The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in Tweeddale West Scottish Borders Lowlands

I visited The Horseshoe Inn with my family for a meal only, so could not comment about the rooms, apart from the restaurant and toilet. After hearing and reading positive comments I have to admit that my own visit was rather a big disappointment. Most of the waiting staff were nice and the location was okay, and that's all when it comes to positives. However, going to restaurants is mainly about food, and this aspect was very poor at The Horseshoe Inn. My partner's venison shank seemed to be badly cooked, because it was very chewy. My battered fish was extremely oily, while chips added to my children's and my own meal appeared to be soggy and tasted of nothing else but oil. Only my son's burger was edible. Overall dinning experience I would describe as poor, and I am pretty sure that I would not be back to Horseshoe Inn in the future. Add.
