I must say I have already submitted a faultless review for Lympstone Manor and it is true. Lympstone Manor Hotel, on site staff, quality and culinary experience is fantastic! There is a “But” Administration staff decided to charge the full amount of our purchases for restaurants and bar bill incurred during our stay not only to my card on check-out but also to a pre-authorisation of £50.00 that was taken on arrival!. This effective has left me with a pending transaction on my account approaching £1000.00 that will take approximately 8 to 10 days to clear. Now I must stress that I am fortunate enough not to worry about the money. I do however worry about the professionalism of the staff who took both payments and the member of staff I discussed the issue with who advised that I should take the matter up with my bank! ( As the merchant Lympstone Manor should have been able to cancel one of the transactions) Poor shoddy, unprofessional. We will NOT be returning. Great place! Unprofessional conduct!
