07/09/2018: As a restaurant that helps Special Needs Young Adults, the variety of food, service and cleanliness is amazing. Their specials are great value and choices are varied. Special dietry requirements are catered for too. Glad it got funding and was able to stay opened! Well worth a visit!!!

Bide A While - Country Tea Room

Tullyhappy, Newry and Mourne
11/12/2018: If you love a cosy, friendly, warm atmosphere with fabulous traditional home-made food then this is the place to go!! Toasties are delish, best veg soup and wheaten bread I have ever tasted!! To top it all off Sharon and her staff are super friendly!!
25/11/2018: A hidden gem! Beautiful little tea room with about nine tables. Decor is stunning. Staff friendly and welcoming and we didn’t feel rushed. Prices are really reasonable for the service and food. Breakfast items, morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea are all on the menu. We ordered scones and coffee which arrived exceptionally quick. Scones freshly baked and served with homemade jam and cream. We also had lemon meringue and apple tart served with cream. Really delicious. Highly recommend a visit to this beautiful tearoom. Thanks

Groucho's Cafe Bar

Rich Hill, Armagh
11/01/2019: Lovely trip to Richhill yesterday with family for Dad’s birthday. Staff were very friendly, service was very prompt & food was very tasty - 4 clean plates and not too expensive - great music club as well with Upstairs On The Square... keep up the great work folks
13/11/2018: Groucho's or lyness's as it is locally known was the destination, beautiful dinner, as usual had my steak with all the trimmings, absolutely class feed, gets loads of business from local people, so if passing through definitely call in for bar snack, but if evening meal better to book ahead, parking is good if early enough, if no room outside in the square just park down the main street, it's worth it. Good portions and reasonably priced.

The Old School House

Rostrevor, Newry and Mourne
27/01/2019: 4 of us had dinner on a Saturday night with an early seating accommodated at late notice. We needed to eat early before a gig so it suited us perfectly.
07/01/2019: This is a great restaurant, staff are wonderful , Peter runs a good ship always on hand to listen to new menu ideas or even bring back the ‘New Yorker’ burger. The deserts are fabulous. Go.

Rice's Hotel

Poyntz Pass, Armagh
05/03/2019: Came here last Sunday afternoon for lunch. We sat in the room upstairs which has a nice cosy atmosphere. Had the spring roll for starter which was nice and a good size portion. Had the steak sandwich for mains which I have to say was one of the nicest steaks I’ve ever eaten. Great seasoning and cooked to perfection. Four of us had the steaks and they were all cooked perfectly to order. Had the sticky toffee pudding for desert and again have to say one of the nicest I’ve ever had. Great flavor and loads of sauce. Staff were very friendly. Was our first time here but definitely not our last!!!!
22/01/2019: Lovely traditional pub with a restaurant above, service was friendly and the food was very good, great options for children and fairly priced

Fusion

Clonallan, Newry and Mourne, >100£
12/01/2019: My husband and I went to this restaurant for my birthday as the reviews seemed fantastic. We were sorely disappointed with the food unfortunately. The menu on the website seems fantastic and varied, yet what was on offer was limited and nowhere near what was advertised. I had mussels that I was unable to finish and had me running home sick! The owner spent the entire time lavishing the table beside us and ignored the remainder guests and seemed uninterested in giving the same delightful service and experience to others in the restaurant.
24/11/2018: Highly recommend Fusion Warrenpoint for a great night out !

4 Vicars Restaurant

Callan Bridge, Armagh
29/12/2018: Visited along with family members for dinner a few days before Christmas. Have eaten here numerous times over the past few years, and once again quality of food and service was exceptional. The menu is quite short and selective, but what a treat the food is when it arrives. If you enjoy good food and in the vincity of Armagh make sure and try Four Vicars.
09/12/2018: Had a lovely dinner here the other night with my wife. Beautiful location right outside one the cathedral entrances on a hill above this historic city. The cooking is well above just about anything else in the area. Cod, duck and pudding were standout dishes. My only complaint is the price. Three courses cost £38 each. I ate a couple of nights earlier in a Michelin star pub in England and three courses were £32 (and on a whole different level of quality). Noble in Holywood with a Bib Gourmand is £30 for three courses (plus a little more for a side). Maybe because they're only open for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights they can get away with it. But there were empty table on this Saturday a couple of weeks before Christmas. It was surprisingly easy to get a table. The quality of food and service and atmosphere is spot on but maybe a look at the price might be advisable?

Cobbles

Daisy hill, Newry and Mourne, <20£
21/11/2018: The doormen need to learn how to speak to paying customers. Especially the big foreign lad. An absolute disgrace the way he speaks to people.
20/11/2018: I was searching for a great place to eat near the bus terminal and Cobbles was the best place to go. Fast service, friendly staff and food is great (I ordered their special: roast beef...though veggies could be better). Price is very reasonable too.

Parklake, Craigavon
21/01/2019: Great setting , friendly courteous staff , quick service , appetising choice for starter and dessert. Unfortunately roast beef quite chewy - a little more tender would make a great difference to main course.

Kitchen

Woodville, Craigavon
12/02/2019: Lunchtime Meals really good, great coffee. Ambience and service top class. However it is really difficult to just have a light bite
26/01/2019: Was visiting family and decide to have a light lunch in town. Myself and my partner had the chicken burgers with chips and side salad. The wait time was short and the food standard and quality was amazing. Cleared the plate it was that good. Both waiters where really helpful and fulfilled any request that we had, which made the atmosphere even better. Will definitely be back with more people!

McCooey's

Daisy hill, Newry and Mourne
14/02/2019: Having read bits and pieces of very witty repartee from the owner I called in for a fry. Every place has an off day and, from previous reviews, I’m hoping that my fry offering was indeed a blip. I didn’t want the black or white pudding and usually an alternative is offered - a few mushrooms or another egg perhaps. Not this time but that’s ok too, cafes aren’t under any obligation to offer anything. I was so disappointed with my fry when it came. The small pieces of soda and potato bread were fatty and unappealing and the sausage was burned. Hunger made me eat the soda but the potato bread was awful. I felt as if nobody cared. Poor me. The end.
08/01/2019: Wife and I stopped in for breakfast on way back south after a couple of nights in Belfast. So glad we did stop here, McCooeys food was outstanding and really good value. My NZ wife (very fussy when it comes to coffee, lucky for me less fussy when it comes to men:) said this was best coffee she had on whole Irish trip.
