The Old School House

Rostrevor, Newry and Mourne
15/01/2018: We were spending time with the family over New Year and the whole family decided to go out for breakfast, what a treat. The staff were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. The full Irish breakfast was cooked fresh and was delicious, the two children aged 5 and 3 were able to have what they asked for and ate every mouthful! We will definitely be going back.
28/12/2017: most delicious ribs I ever tasted will definitely be back .Telling everybody about this place great atmosphere ,superb service friendly staff and disabled facilities

Yankee Star

Coalisland South, Dungannon
08/11/2017: Been going to the Yankee Star for years. Always great food and excellent service. The burgers and steaks are particularly good.
02/10/2017: We have eaten in the Yankee Star on a number of occasions. Each time we were not disappointed. The food is tasty and and there is plenty of it. The kids menu is pretty extensive. There are colouring pencils and paper for the little ones. The staff are attentive and keen to help. The prices are reasonable and the food is great.I would recommend you book before visiting!

Armagh Indian Nights

Callan Bridge, Armagh
30/12/2017: Great restaurant, it never disappoints. Good service and delicious food. Good range of different curries on the menu. The decor is a bit dated, but when the food is so good it doesn't matter. The waitresses are very helpful, and it's good value BYO to boot. What's not to love!
15/12/2017: this place is by far armaghs best indian.a welcome smile from Amy and her team jus make it such a nice place to dine.the menu is vast and the restaurant itself is comfy and cosy.the food is always exceptionally tasty and hot.great little spot for a night out either as a couple or in a group.

Maya Cafe

Daisy hill, Newry and Mourne
20/12/2017: The reason i walked into maya cafe, is that everyone was always raving on about burritos (Due to the very popular boojum in belfast) and i was not disappointed. for £6, maya provides a burrito the size of your head and they're very accommodating to picky people like me who would have no interest in beans or guac and the likes! My order is always right and the service is always great. A small homley place, staff are always up for a chat and the place is great for both a quick lunch or a lovely dinner with friends.
16/11/2017: I went hungry and with expectations after previous good reviews and I wasn’t disappointed good service and food was lovely. They don’t sell alcohol but do allow you to bring your own for £2.50.

Timoneys Ice Cream

Ballybot, Newry and Mourne
03/10/2017: Simple as that. Timoneys is the best ice cream in the world. The beauty is in the originality. Immaculately clean!
17/09/2017: I had a small cone of vanilla with chocolate topping, and it was good but nothing out of the ordinary. There's also a Timoneys in nearby Warrenpoint that only offered vanilla, which surprised me. This branch had more of a flavor selection.

Rice's Hotel

Poyntz Pass, Armagh
04/01/2018: There were seven of us for our evening meal or tea as we call in it Northern Ireland.Specials which consisted of two courses for £12.00 each, proved a winning choice. Some had salted chilli beef which was delicious. Plenty to choose from.I had homemade chicken curry with rice and chips which was very tasty. Good generous portions.I forgot to take a photo of our food and remembered when we had already attacked our desserts.I had sticky toffee pudfing and caramel ice cream which was really good.James served us. He was very friendly. I think the barmans name was Gerry who was also very pleasant. There was a lady serving also and she too was very sociable.I would highly recommend the food here and would love to go back.Another plus the ladies toliets are kept nice and clean which is a good sign.
06/12/2017: New decor is beautiful and the meal was gorgeous. We have never had a bad meal in this hotel. Fabulous all round.

Tam O' Shanter

Kilkeel Central, Newry and Mourne
03/12/2017: Have recently got a few Sunday Carvery dinners from here. Lovely fresh tasty traditional Sunday roast dinners. Choice of 4 meats and Fiona and her staff certainly are not miserable with the portions if either meat or veg.
10/06/2017: We visited shortly after Christmas and had a lovely lunch. My partner had the biggest steak he's ever had and I had a lovely sweet chilli noodle dish . I'm always unsure about what veggie options I'll get in restaurants as i'm usually limited to pasta, but there was a lot I could choose from thankfully.

Number Seven

Windsor Hill, Newry and Mourne
18/01/2018: My family and i eat here regularly as it is never fails to disappoint... we are always made feel very welcome by the staff who always interact with our kids and ensure they are settled first and foremost.. we were recently served by a waitress called shauna and damian who were extremely attentive and friendly .. of course food is always first class .. i cant fault number 7 atal.. we are lucky it is on our doorstep
08/01/2018: I visited Number 7 Newry recently to celebrate my Mum’s 80th birthday. There were 19 of us in total but this didn’t phase the restaurant staff as the food was excellent and the service great (as always in both cases I should add). The correct dishes turned up in good time and nothing was too much trouble. I have previously reviewed the restaurant and have highly recommended it - this latest visit definitely reinforced that view!

Zio Restaurant

Annagh, Craigavon
13/01/2018: What a hem hidden this is in the town of Portadown. After lots of recommendations myself and my husband finally went to Zios and boy did it live up to it’s reputation. The welcome upon arrival was so friendly, an extensive wine menu was on offer as my hubby is very fussy about his wines but the food really topped our experience! The presentation and taste was second to none. If you are looking for a dining experience with a fantastic atmosphere this is the place to go. Our only regret is not going sooner!
10/01/2018: This place never fails. Food and atmosphere both amazing. Very accommodating for coeliacs also. Amazing pizza and pasta. Would highly recommend it to anyone! 5stars

Sintons at the bridge

Poyntz Pass, Armagh
18/01/2018: My Wife and I visited Sintons for Christmas lunch and it was so good we went back for a second lunch. The Christmas Dinner on both occasions was lovely. The service as always was brilliant and a great atmosphere. We are looking forward to returning in 2018. Well done Sintons, keep up the great work.
07/01/2018: First visit to Sintons.... On entering the restaurant i first noticed on how clean it was with attention to detail ,you could see into the kitchen area it was the cleanest I've ever seen, forget about the five star rating this restaurant is off the scale deserves more than five stars, toilets where also sparkling and fresh. The service was fantastic again attention to detail to our every requirement, food was out of this world with flavours and choice of menu ,this restaurant obviously employs a highly skilled chef and team. Will forget about other restaurants Sintons is the best by a long shot.If you want off the scale ultra clean ,fantastic food ,fantastic service, sintons has it all, what a place... perfect.Glenn Culbert

She always seemed to anticipate our requests and was so pleasant, friendly and yet very professionalThank you to everyone for a great lunch

Sandholes, Cookstown
19/11/2017: We come as a family to bluebells quite often as the family who own it are wonderfully friendly and the standard of service is elite. Sunday carvery at a sensible price. The portions are to your own specificstion the food is delicious and desert ... well you gotta try yourself !!
03/11/2017: Visited last weekend and how disappointed we were with the size of the portions compared to summer visit!!! The dessert was very minimal to say the least the banoffe pie and cream were a mere slither and the ice cream desert was two scoops and a little fresh cream for £4.95! Several tables had dirty dishes sitting on them when new customers sat down and tables unwiped. Main courses were ok but nothing in comparison to the summer visit. Very disappointed as Bluebells was one of my favourite lunch time stops when in the area.

Edfield Restaurant

Fivemiletown, Dungannon
08/01/2018: My family and grandparents visit Edfield regularly. Great feed and good variety on the menu. Very quick and friendly service. Would definitely recommend!
08/12/2017: Had seen this Restaurant before in passingto and from Belfast but only went in as was with a local friend.Nice clean Restaurant/Diner. Staff were warm friendly and helpful advising on lunchtime specials. All three of us went for one of the days specials. Sausage and Onion served on a bed of Champ (brúitín in Irish). Sausages were extremely large as in Frankfurter size. It was absolutely a taste heaven and I still was unable to finish the genorous portion served.Restaurant was warm and cosy on a very cold winters day.Nice friendly staff serving good wholesome food at very reasonable prices. I bet they will see myself and friends again.

Sugar Supper Club

Daisy hill, Newry and Mourne, 20-30£
27/12/2017: After searching Newry for somewhere to eat that had decent veggie options we were delighted to stumble across this place. The menu is interesting and caters for vegans and vegetarian as well as meat lovers. The portions were very generous which we appreciated after traipsing around for hours looking for somewhere. The food was incredibly flavoursome and the staff were lovely! Sweet relief! byob too! Win!
10/12/2017: Lovely ambience , good service , great food , a very pleasant experience again in The Supper Club . Lovely vegetarian taco dish . Brownie dessert large with whole bouts in it , delicious . BYO.
