The Galley Cafe

Annalong, Newry and Mourne
03/05/2019: We had eaten here in 2015, so decided to go back this year after spending the afternoon exploring Tollymore Park in Newcastle. Ordered the Pensioners Special and found it tasty and plenty. Pleasant, friendly and efficient waiters and staff.
08/04/2019: What you might call normal dishes done fantastically well. Have been her regularly over the last year after being introduced to it by family members. Great place to bring the family and my two kids absolutely adore the place, my son chose here for his confirmation day dinner and we also celebrated new years eve 2018 with a slap up feed here. They do brilliant kids menu which is fantastic value with massive portions and smiles on the kids faces after. The fish and chips and the junkyard cheesecake are our favourites but lots to try on the menu. Lovely friendly staff who make the place and the food speaks for itself, the desserts are home made and have to be tried. Would recommend to anyone in the Mourne area who wants a top notch feed in nice but unfussy surroundings.

Bide A While - Country Tea Room

Tullyhappy, Newry and Mourne
13/04/2019: My second visit to these charming tea rooms. There is always a warm welcome and the decor is lovely. I usually order the open prawn sandwich, it is delicious. The homemade tray bakes & desserts are always tempting and you won't regret choosing something nice. We finished off our lunch with a coffee and complimentary piece of shortbread. I would definitely recommend going here.
19/03/2019: Great for a bite of lunch, warm friendly atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit especially for there cakes

Yankee Star

Coalisland South, Dungannon
25/03/2019: Had lunch here today, what a great little place with with friendly staff. The burgers were great, and plenty of food. Try the Arizona burger, with pulled pork and salt n chilli chicken.
20/02/2019: I'm gonna start with mentioning I have 2 children with autism, anyone that ever dined out with an autistic child knows that it can be challenging to say the least. 1st time we went I checked by in the afternoon to ask to see the menu to make sure there was gonna be something on the menu that would be suitable. When I explained the girls couldn't have been more helpful. They asked where we would like to sit in advance and reserved a booth for us. The lady put me at ease straight away. That evening when we arrived the kids where given their menus and their colouring Ins and told if they wanna colour in they could pick a lolly after their dinner. She also said if there was anything the children would like off the adult menu they would give me a half portion size. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was gorgeous and iv eaten in many many places lol kids were happy and the price was very reasonable for an evening meal.

Fusion

Clonallan, Newry and Mourne, >100£
20/03/2019: I haven't been to this restaurant since the owner changed. And was pleasantly surprised with the Italian theme menu, even though small. I love a good Truffle pasta, witch is hard to find, and was delighted that the owner could get her chef to make the dish without Mushrooms. It was delicious. My husband enjoyed his first Calonie. We will be back.
19/03/2019: If you are a fan of authentic Italian food then try here. You will not be disappointed and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about their cuisine.

Rice's Hotel

Poyntz Pass, Armagh
27/04/2019: Went for a family meal. Food was excellent, staff were very friendly. Great Pints of Guinness as well. Would definitely recommend 👍
20/04/2019: Steaks cooked to perfection. Great service. Nice background music. Highly recommended. The only criticism that I have is that there's visible black mold in the white windows beside the door. A lot of people are very allergic to this and it's a bit of an eyesore. Overall Rices is a very nice place to eat.

4 Vicars Restaurant

Callan Bridge, Armagh
03/04/2019: There is no restaurant here. It is now a museum and the owners haven’t had the manners to notify the public accordingly.
29/12/2018: Visited along with family members for dinner a few days before Christmas. Have eaten here numerous times over the past few years, and once again quality of food and service was exceptional. The menu is quite short and selective, but what a treat the food is when it arrives. If you enjoy good food and in the vincity of Armagh make sure and try Four Vicars.

Zio Restaurant

Annagh, Craigavon
28/04/2019: My wife and I have been visiting Zio for years. The food has always been delicious, even when the restaurant is full to capacity. The staff have always been so accommodating, friendly and professional, especially with our 4 year old daughter. If you want tasty, well portioned and priced food, Zio comes highly recommended by us. And it also helps that there is always a buzz about the atmosphere.
28/04/2019: We visited here for the first time on a Sunday evening. Didn’t have a reservation but were seated straight away.

Diamonds Restaurant

Daisy hill, Newry and Mourne
28/04/2019: This spot does plain good dinners, steaks, salads, sandwiches and deserts.
14/04/2019: Had to take my mother to the Point to get her new glasses in Lees. So decided to go to the Diamonds for a wee lunch. Haven't been there in years so it was time I went back. The place was rocking. We got a table handy enough downstairs. Once we were seated the staff couldn't do enough for us. We ordered our food. Mrs McCullough got her usual Garlic mushrooms that's all she wanted. Theresa ordered a Wrap and I went for a Club samdwich with chips. As we waited for our food a plate of lovely wheaten bread arrived.

Groucho's Cafe Bar

Rich Hill, Armagh
20/03/2019: Lovely bar. Good service. However less is more! Both dishes had too much sauce and dressing on them, which spoilt both dishes. Was disappointed. First time visit.
12/02/2019: For good food, great ambiance and great service, you can’t go wrong with Grouchos. Go early and get seated for excellent food with local touches and very reasonably priced.

Sintons at the bridge

Poyntz Pass, Armagh
04/05/2019: An accidental visit and not sure what to expect. Food is good bistro and really well presented. Great value. But what sets Sintons apart is a very well thought out modern open plan room which is still warm and welcoming and uses the pretty setting well. And the staff. They are its fifth star. Consistently good. Will be back.
27/04/2019: Easter holiday Tuesday we popped our bicycles onto the train at Sydenham and travelled to Portadown and, from there, cycled to Scarva along the Newry Canal ... nice cycle path.
