Crosskeys Inn

Grange, Ballymena
22/11/2018: Live music, great Guinness, very nice and welcoming service. We'll come back next year and we recommend this family owned and run pub to everyone .
04/11/2018: Stopped in here on our way to the Giants Causeway from Dublin, was later on a Sunday night so not much going on... fire to ourselves and the bartender showing us the pub and hearing about the history, ghost stories included (perfect for Halloween). Just by chance we met the actual thatcher for the roof and he told us stories about Ireland, the pub, his experiences... for an improvised stop and looking back on our trip, it was one of the most genuine and amazing experiences. Wonderful spot and wonderful people.

indian ocean

Killycrot, Carrickfergus
17/12/2018: Visited the Indian Ocean for lunch. The restaurant was warm, spotlessly clean and really comfortable. The menu was a set choice i.e., started and main course for £9.95. There was a good choice most of which was gluten free. As a coeliac it was great to have a choice of meals. Both the starters and the main courses were delicious - staff were very courteous and service was swift. Lovely place and I'm looking forward to a return visit

Millside Restaurant

Galgorm, Ballymena
06/11/2018: Three couples enjoyed a first class meal. Steak was ordered by four, and a great selection including Cajun the steaks were cooked to perfection. A chicken dish and a gluten free sweet chilli chicken on a bed of champ filled the plate. This was a good sized portion at a reasonable price in lovely surroundings. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return.
02/11/2018: This is without doubt one of the best restaurants in Ballymena.

As we were eating in the hotel that evening we both opted for toasted sandwich. I had chilli chicken and my husband had the beef and caramelised onion along with lovely coffee. Not many seats inside. A very popular spot. Would go back when in the art. Cheerful staff.

Mermaid Kitchen and Bar

Royal Portrush, Coleraine
03/11/2018: This is by far my favourite restaurant in Northern Ireland the food is to die for, you vacant Never go wrong no matter what you get, the portions are quite big and the way food is served is beautiful, it’s a perfect spot for date, night out, birthday celebration or special occasion. Kids are only allowed on Sunday . This is a must if you go to Portrush be sure to book in advance as they are very busy at the weekends. Toasted bread board is a must starter for me, hake as a main and everything from the dessert list :) staff are super friendly and helpful

District 45

Glebe, Magherafelt
16/12/2018: We visited this restaurant today with family for my mums 60th birthday, everything from we arrived until we left could not be faulted. Staff were very friendly and interacted with the kids and all the food came out well presented and hot. I myself went for the Smoked Cod for main course, to be honest I dont recall tasting a nicer Cod...

30/11/2018: Called in today on a wet, windy, cold morning and got a really warm friendly welcome as always, from both management and staff. We both chose the mini fry which comes with bacon, sausage, vegetable roll, potato bread, soda bread, egg and beans. Also comes with toast and butter with tea or coffee (free refills!) As always, food was freshly prepared, cooked to perfection, and so tasty. A real gem of a restaurant in the Junction with a warm welcome for everyone and menu choices to suit the most fussy eater! For anyone shopping in Antrim this is definitely the best choice around for food at any time of day or evening!

The Copper Kettle

Bushmills, Moyle
12/12/2018: A lovely place to stop for breakfast or lunch. A good selection of hot or cold food. Plenty of choice for the sweet tooth too
12/12/2018: We visited early on a dull and wintery December morning, in contrast to the day outside the lights inside made this place seem warm and inviting. Inside there were only a couple of other patrons (in fact there were more staff than customers) so it was nice and quiet and had plenty of space.

03/11/2018: Call in to Dora's for a wonderful coffee experience. Beautifully decorated with plenty of attention to detail. The food is amazing and creatively presented. The coffee is super and staff are always friendly. You'll only be disappointed if there are no tables free!

The Cosy Chair

Rostulla, Newtownabbey
11/12/2018: Called in today for an afternoon treat. This place has a warm cosy atmosphere. It wasn't too busy and we were able to choose where to sit. There is a lovely choice of home baked goods - cakes, traybakes, scones and shortbread. As a coeliac, I knew they usually have a good choice of gluten free items and I wasn't disappointed today. There were several different types of scones, shortbread, and choice of traybakes. I chose a peanut butter blondie traybake which was delicious. With a large pot of tea, it was a perfect remedy for a gloomy day.
26/11/2018: Introduced my future daughter inlaw to the cosy chair and she loved it and went back of her own accord with her mum.
