The best restaurants serving Mexican food in South Lakeland North West

On our little trip away to Ambleside, we heard that this small family run business was the best spot to eat in the town so we had to try it. The takeout style of this restaurant was incredibly effective with little seating inside and a small bar where you order your food and drinks and talk to the owner whilst you order your food. We ordered a beef quesadilla, a chicken quesadilla, a beef burrito and 3 chicken tacos which came to around £43 which was so worth it. Food and service was an absolute 10/10, will most definitely be returning when we come back to Ambleside in the near future.

Great service. Portion sizes very good. I had burrito, mrs had quesadillas. Both very good. Server brought about 5 bottles of different hot sauces to complement the meals. Very filling and great price. Can’t recommend more

First time in Ulverston and we were so happy we stumbled across this place. Delicious food with some great specials and interesting sides, speedy service and friendly staff. Can’t recommend it enough

Yet again a wonderful night at Amigos Mexican Restaurant, with three lovely friends. It was busy, but the staff were always smiling and checking that we had every thing we required. The food was gorgeous, as usual and we washed it down with a couple of bottles of reasonably priced wine and one friend chose to order a selection of Amigos cocktails. Fabulous night.

Fantastic food, great selection on the menu and reasonably priced. Located right in the centre of Ambleside and very easy to find
