The best restaurants serving Italian food in Colinton / Fairmilehead Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh and Lothian

On cold and very wet December days, this cafe was a great place to warm up. I suspect it would be a great 'slice of Italy' at any time of the year. Excellent hot and tasty panini, homemade scones and hot coffee...very welcome and much needed. Great attentive and friendly staff. We will ready return (and have) to this great cafe. For us, a bonus is that it is nowhere near the city centre.

Very nice Italian restaurant with good cuisine. Pizza was very tasty and the boss makes everything possible.

Party of 4 at 18.30 tp 20 30. On a Friday. Very good service, and excellent food. Friendly staff nice atmosphere.

Definitely the worst and definitely the most expensive chippy in the area. I’d say worst in Edinburgh but Bar B Que exists. I’ve been going for 12 years and the fish, chips and puddings etc are always awful. Pizza’s are pretty good to be fair, but I’m never going back. Balerno Fry is infinitely better. Never get re cooked chips or pale anemic fish in there. Really really bad.
