The best restaurants serving Italian food in Lambeth London

AVOID AT ALL COST- this is the worse restaurant I have ever been to. Firstly - there is not one Italian in sight - and it shows! I had the unfortunate experience of visiting the toilet so I could wash my hands and someone had had a severe diarrhoea and not flushed- this set the scene for what was to come. The menu is extortion for value: £6.95 for plain pasta on kids menu !!! Not to mention adult menu pricing - check this before you even think of going in! The food arrived after 4 min of ordering it - you do the math! Everything was precooked and badly cooked. We ordered rose wine and this was undrinkable. We told the waiter and he accepted to take it back. We asked to try the white wine which was beyond disgusting so we ended up ordering a small bottle of Peroni ( £4.95!) . On the bill, they had kept the wine. Where we complained they said: we didn’t charge you for the beers . Ok It the beers were £3 cheaper ! A total rip off ! It took a few gos but then eventually they charged us for what we indeed consumed. Why should I pay for a drink I didn’t have ? Overall this place should be shut down. NEVER AGAIN. He comido aquí muchas veces y nunca he tenido una experiencia negativa. La pizza es genial y me encantan los risottos, a menudo ordeno el menú de especialidades. Recientemente tuve una ensalada con burrata, que también fue muy bueno también. Los cócteles son geniales y hacen una buena hora feliz. El personal es amable y la comida llega rápidamente. Es un ambiente divertido y, aunque siempre está bastante ocupado, nunca tuve que esperar a una mesa. Continuaré regresando.

Fab karaoke night on a Wednesday with a great host, nice staff and it’s an attractive venue, but loses marks for the unfriendly management. The point of a venue when you’re spending money is to make you feel welcome. A simple smile would suffice but it’s not happening here. Shame.
