The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

Great coffee and super friendly staff. Nice choice of cakes and snacks too. Good interaction with the staff. Had some fun with them.

We had dinner in the restaurant as we were staying at the hotel for an event at the stadium. The food was actually OK, but I really don't like having oven chips served in a restaurant. I look around at other diners plates and their food looked OK too. If you are staying at the hotel I'd recommend as there aren't that many places to eat. It was also reasonably priced.

I have been to this cafe many times as I'm vegan and very little other choice. So the food mostly is really nice home made. But it is overpriced for what it is. The pizza and carrot cake are amazing if they are not stale. £5.00 for a slice of cake that isn't fresh is too much and £10 for a burger (average) without the £4. Fries. The service is very slow and the owner makes you feel like she is doing you a favour to make your order. I waited 20 minutes for a juice when I was the only person in the restaurant. Inside it isn't very neat and tidy. The front is OK but use the toilet and you will see the mess. It's such a shame because I would use so much more if these issues were fixed.

We’ve found Italian takeaways lack a variety unless you want pizzas. With this in mind we revisited Gallo Neros menu on an eats app. They have a lot of other Italian meals listed so we went for Fajita Alforno and Kapsalon to share. The delivery was on time and hot, ready to eat. I ate mine straight away and it was tasty, but there was something missing in the overall taste for me. My husband said a similar thing, he enjoyed it but would try something different if we order again.

On a recent visit to London to meet a colleague, we decided to go for an Italian dinner at Sandrini. The food was great and so what the bottle of Valpolicella Ripasso. The staff was friendly and helpful with food selection. Relatively inexpensive.

One of the best Italian restaurants in the area. Excellent wine list. They will even make you a Pollo Sorpresa even if it isn't on the menu! Massively children friendly.

Este es un favorito local sureste de Londres. Kennington tiene un pequeño número de buenos restaurantes, pero la mayoría son de una cadena. Amici es una pequeña independientes. Not being veggie I was dragged along with a couple of friends who are. I thought the food was rather good and did't miss my meat at all. I agree with some of the other reviews that a couple of the dished could have had a few more herbs thrown in, but they still tasted nice.
