Went alone early on a Tues Evening at 6pm ish Bare boards and tiles Bare brickwork, wood furniture. Good atmosphere. Cheerful and chatty liverpudlian with a great sense of humour ,Joe, behind the bar. Beer cold, Refreshing and a little expensive at £6.80 for a pint of Madri. Comforting menu of burgers served in a wrap to eat out of. I had a "The Juicy Bastard" A pink-centred double-smash under molten cheese with lettuce, tomato and BBQ sauce. Robust, tasty and great at £13 if slightly salty. ( subjective as I never add it at home) A word of warning. Once you unwrap one of these burgers there is nothing to hold them together and it is too late to go back to the bar for the discreetly placed black napkins. grab two when you order per person or much finger sucking follows!!
