Burger Craft at The Crown in Wandsworth

Went alone early on a Tues Evening at 6pm ish Bare boards and tiles Bare brickwork, wood furniture. Good atmosphere. Cheerful and chatty liverpudlian with a great sense of humour ,Joe, behind the bar. Beer cold, Refreshing and a little expensive at £6.80 for a pint of Madri. Comforting menu of burgers served in a wrap to eat out of. I had a "The Juicy Bastard" A pink-centred double-smash under molten cheese with lettuce, tomato and BBQ sauce. Robust, tasty and great at £13 if slightly salty. ( subjective as I never add it at home) A word of warning. Once you unwrap one of these burgers there is nothing to hold them together and it is too late to go back to the bar for the discreetly placed black napkins. grab two when you order per person or much finger sucking follows!! Worth a visit

I had over 20 bed bug bites from head to toe. Someone I spoke to on a previous stay had the same issue. I will never stay again.

Vine aquí de vez en cuando con amigos y The Crown quizás necesitaba un lavado de cara, pero tenía un agradable bar en el centro con taburetes y mucho encanto histórico y mucho carácter. La nueva gerencia desafortunadamente arrancó el clásico bar sentado y de alguna manera pensó que era una buena idea mover la cocina y la parrilla al bar. Así que ahora se parece más a un restaurante de comida rápida destacado con letreros de neón horribles en la pared, contradictorio con cualquiera que realmente le guste los pubs. Supongo que la escritura está literalmente en la pared en el exterior cuando innecesariamente anuncia Hamburguesas y Pub Quizzes en las ventanas. Esperemos que algún día sea restaurado a un pub nuevamente.

Furious... stayed 5 nights in this flea infested place ended up needing medical help as I caught scabies and nits!! Never ever again...they are a health hazard.. must get new matteresses n linens etc !

Pasamos por una pinta y algo de comer en el camino a casa, ya que teníamos curiosidad. . . Descubrimos que al igual que en un pub hay un albergue en la planta superior. . . El excelente servicio al cliente de un hombre detrás de un bar y la comida de la cocina tampoco estaba tan mal como "cocina abierta". Teníamos papas fritas rematadas? Que eran la opción vego sabrosa para la esposa y yo tenía opción tirada picante del cerdo. . . Al parecer, hace un año tenían una reforma grande y mucho mejorada, ya que el lugar anterior tenía un aspecto poco fiable. . . Volveríamos .

Second visit, since the first visit they have change the burgers to sliders, Disappointed to be honest.

I've been here twice before and I shouted to everyone that it was the best burger ever. However on our third return it could be one of the worse, speaking for all our meals on this occasion: 1) Food overall was cold. 2) Wasn't asked how the meat should be cooked. 3) We saw three other customers complain. 4) Half Pint Mac & Cheese was described as pot noodle. 5) Given the dregs of the over fried chips. 6) Only offered drinks in return no refund. Personally I was left embarrassed after strongly recommending this place and am now out of my girlfriends family ''circle of trust". Unfortunately we probably won't return :( Let me know if you get back the chef you had at the beginning of the year. In the past your chips have been amazing alongside the burger and staff.

Went there for dinner tonight. Was actually hesitant to order as the atmosphere is so dull. Sleepy music and bored looking staff. Did order and was happy with the burgers, although our shared side of Mac and cheese was Dry microwaved macaroni with powdery packet grated cheese on top :(. I did say to the waiter that it was not nice but he just said 'OK then'. And that was it! Not very good customer service as we sat there for 40 minutes and our plates didn't get taken. The bar staff were too busy eating their food at a table to serve! Probably won't return. Disappointing!

I didn't know I'd love burgers this much. The meats are juicy. You would taste it in your mouth. Affordable prices and clean place.The staff are friendly. I love my stay.

Stuffed crust with lots of cheese. Big enough to feed 2. Decent real ale to go with it. Quiz night on a Thursday.

I decided to plan a night with my friends here as I know the burgers they serve are meant to be one of best in London. They have a burger club on a Monday which means it's buy one get one free on all burgers. I went with the sombrero and it was a really good burger. Lots of flavour and great value for money! My friend had the fries topped with pulled pork which were very good. I was disappointed with the half pint smashed sundaes which looked great but were very dry. I would definitely go back for the burgers and recommend without hesitation.

I'm a massive burger fan and find it astonishing how some places can mess up something that should be relatively simple. Crown isn't one of those. Been to the pub a few times now and never had a poor burger and usually find the burger gone within a minute. You can really tell they pride themselves on the quality and rightfully so. Even though the burgers are spot on its refreshing to see that they constantly make additions and aren't afraid to experiment. whats great is you can even experiment yourself. 100% recommend for the food and this is usually the first lunch place I go to when mates are visiting.

The GOOD: Burger is very tasty Build your own burger is fun Veggie burger was the best so far The NOT SO GOOD Service was a bit hit and miss 1 out 4 of the burgers we ordered were overcooked 2 out 4 burgers arrived ten minutes later The fries were not very crispy The bbq sauce overwhelms the rest of the food Once again burger club met to try out the very highly rated BurgerCraft, the burger itself was very tasty and the veggie burger was the best that our token vegetarian member has had so far. I personally went for the option of building my own burger which was very big and very delicious, My only criticism for the bacon jam was that it was a bit on the sweet side. Someone else had the Truffle Shuffle which was tasty but the patty was overcooked. Especially considering they pride themselves on serving their burgers medium rare. We also ordered the hot and dirty fries which I was very excited about which has blue cheese and jalapeños and their fiery chipotle ketchup. There was too much of the ketchup for my liking which was very overpowering for me personally but one of our group really liked it, so I guess it is very personal choice. There was not enough blue sauce for my liking though. Another side we ordered was the Rings of Fire, again this was drenched in ketchup and the onion rings became very soggy very quickly from them. The service was very hit and miss, I did not have to wait long to get some attention but my partner was ignored and had to wait several minutes to get an order form, even though the bar was not very busy. There was no tissues in the toilet which was a shame when trying to wash one's hands. OVERALL We did enjoy it overall but felt let down a few minor details. Would try this place if you are in the area but would probably go to our number one burger joint.
