The best restaurants serving Default food in Boston Castle Rotherham Yorkshire and The Humber

Welcoming staff, food was excellent (and huge portions) and the prices are low, will definitely visit again, Don’t think alcohol is served but we weren’t drinking anyway? We were part of a large group for an event & wouldn’t have known about this place otherwise. Definitely a little hidden gem close to town. We had a kind of samosa served with minted yoghurt & salad for starters, chicken which fell off the bone & an amazing biryani type of rice for mains and baclava for dessert.

I went to this cafe yesterday with friends for afternoon tea. What a great place!! Atmosphere is great, staff very friendly & efficient. The afternoon tea was excellent, variety of fresh sandwiches & savories. Scones & cakes were very good and a very reasonable price. I will be back without a doubt.

This place is perfect for a break from the cruel world. Lou is extremely friendly and obviously loves looking after her customers.

The food was absolutely amazing! The grilled chicken was full of flavour and so well-cooked—you can tell they really care about the quality. The staff were super friendly and hospitable. It's honestly one of the best food spots in Rotherham.

Nice meal in a nice environment & reasonably priced. A great place for a bite & a chat with several choices of eateries and a bar.

Ordered two jackets - one pizza one with beans and two drinks Pizza jacket turned up with beans on No drinks No jacket with beans Delivery driver didn’t have a clue where he was going either so arrived cold

Outstanding fresh food and coffees, as well as personal, warm and friendly service. Totally blown away with attention to food detail and service!!! Bought a bottle of their own stunning salad dressing to take home. Such a delight to have this in Rotherham town centre! I will be back soon.

You would never know this was here. we went looking for artificial grass and ended having a lovely lunch.lovely ambience, lovely staff will return.

I booked for 29 of us on 28th March. Fantastic food and the staff were extremely accommodating given that it was such a large booking. Would definitely recommend.

This is our favourite restaurant by a mile and we have been here for family meals, birthday celebrations and just my wife and I on quite a few occasions. Normally the whole package is impeccable and I have never ever found fault before. This evening however was a total disappointment to the point I was on verge of walking out and I didn't even tip (which is a first). The waitress who showed us to our table was lovely and no issues with her, the younger waitress however didn't quite meet the usual high standards. I was quite shocked to hear the foul language from her mouth whilst stood at the server telling one of the chefs to "F++k off" the latter then sticking fingers up at her in return. Cutlery not replaced after starters, potatoes were rock hard on outside but raw inside. Bill brought to table without been requested was a surprise especially as we normally have a coffee before leaving. In my opinion it was a case of 'the boss is away so f++k it'. The only thing that saved the evening was the salmon which was sublime. The chair I initially sat on had no padding and I had to swap it myself. Absolutely gutted, 25th wedding anniversary as well. 😅 we literally had to press it to get service. It was a tad different, but you know, it didn't really bother us. We had to wait for about 4 minutes, not too shabby, eh? 🕰️ We found ourselves a cosy little spot and got seated 👥. But guess what? We were asked to shift! 😂 Not sure why, but we didn't mind, just moved to another spot. Now here comes the best part. We ordered a couple of their burgers 🍔 and chips 🍟, an absolute classic. And mate, you won't believe the price - just 4 pounds 50! It's a bloody steal if you ask me. I mean, you probably wouldn't find a better deal anywhere else right now. 😮🙌 But then, we also ordered tea ☕ and that's when things went a bit downhill. They charged us 2 pounds 20 for it! I mean, we're talking about a backstreet café here mate, not a posh uptown joint. It's just ridiculous, you shouldn't have to pay more than 1 pound 50 tops for a cuppa there. 😕 We had to wait a bit for the food, roughly around 15 minutes. But once it arrived, I gotta say it was smashing! The food was absolutely delicious. Truth be told, it was outstanding! 😋👍 We really enjoyed it. Spectacular food, 10/10! Burgers & Pizza were extremely soft & tasty!

Visited with friends. Took our own drinks. Service was excellent. Food was beautiful too. Lovely evening. Will certainly return.
