The best restaurants serving Default food in Torbay South West

We visit Brixham every year and always see this place when going to The Manor but never dared to go in as we didn't feel we knew enough about wine. However this year we decided to be brave boys and go in! SO SO glad we did! We both tried mystery wine flights and were honest that we would not be able to tell the grapes or countries, just which ones we likes. The owner was exceptional, he guided us on the wines, explained why we might like some and not the others, reccomended other wines to try based on the ones we liked and at no point made us feel "stupid" for not knowing the ins and outs of wine tasting etc. He reccomended a book to us which we have already ordered. The food is fantastic, just perfect to go with a bottle of wine or two, especially the manchego! We left very happy and with a bag full of goodies from the deli section along with a bottle of wine. CANOT WAIT to go back!!!! Thank you!

Beautiful cafe situated at Lupton House. Lovely friendly staff serving great food and drink. A little oasis of calm. Don't drive by the sign do call in.

Saturday 11th November. 18 degrees, sunshine and blue sky. So managed to get a lovely ice cream from here as well as drinks, (lovely hot chocolate) and a festive sausage roll - which felt strange in the warmth, Lol. Perfect food, ice cream and drinks.

So much choice and all beatifully cooked and presented Some of the desserts had too much cream for me to tolerate but the staff found differant options for me-nothing was too much trouble

I took my friend visiting Brixham as I knew she would love it. The name says it from when you walk through the door it feels like you are on a first class cruise liner. Bob the owner is a wonderful gentleman full of interesting information. The hot cross scone was the nicest scone I have ever tasted. The food ,drinks and service second to none. I really cannot praise this place enough. If yiu visit Brixham please go xxxxx

Tasty, fresh food made to order, friendly customer service, fair prices, would eat there again

I have eaten in many of Torquays eateries and was so impressed with our meals at this one. Staff vere very friendly,i took my children for lunch here, a teenage vegetarian and a fussy little one. We all chose noodle bowls, thai chicken, tofu and salt and pepper, and everyone enjoyed their choice,and our bowls were scraped clean (no mean feat with my kids!) Gorgeous ground coffee and really reasonably priced. Cannot recommend enough. This is our new favourite venue. Very very nice food! Just wish it was open at night too.

WOWSERS.....I have had a lot of Ice Cream Sundaes in my time, but the ones we had yesterday were the BEST EVER! Really generous with toppings and sauces and the Ice Cream was absolutely delicious. There are loads of choices (I went with Chunky Chocolate and Toffee). My Sister loved her Biscoff Sundae and my Nephew had a Reece Ice Cream which he also loved! The prices are really reasonable as well. Debbie served us and she was absolutely lovely. So friendly and helpful, an absolute asset to the company. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!!

Best pasties and sausage rolls ever. Will definitely go again next time we are in Torquay, brilliant. Definitely recommend.

I came in with the family and we ordered some crepes, milkshakes and I had a coffee. It was perfect as we wanted somewhere we could sit outside for a while and enjoy the harbour views. The staff were really polite and offered us a loyalty card and we earnt a stamp towards a free dessert! We will definitely be visiting the store again.

Had a really lovely Sunday lunch. I had roast beef and my husband had roast pork. Absolutely delicious! Roast potatoes, dauphinoise potatoes, carrots, brocoli, peas, stuffing with sausage meat, Yorkshire pudding and lashings of gravy. Couldn't fault it. Friendly staff and owner. Well worth a visit.

Taylors kiosk of Paignton has everything you'll need and is well worth a visit, the menu is varied and offers a great selection and the food is really nice and the potions are good, it offers great value, and great service too, the chips are divine, they're cooked to order, always piping hot and crispy, what a fantastic kiosk, highly recommended

Was treated to a yummy breakfast at Cafe Tweny9 on Paignton seafront by our son and daughter in law. Food was fab, excellent service and friendly welcoming atmosphere. The cafe was ultra clean and trendy. Will visit again and suitable for all ages. Thanks Tori and staff....you go beyond your roles to cater for everyone's needs and offer excellent food.xxxxx
