If you enjoy paying over £30 for bland, uninspired food, then Taste Good Wok might be for you. Sadly, it wasn’t for me. I ordered a curry, fried rice, chips, and chicken balls, and the entire experience was disappointing. The curry sauce was watery and tasteless, the chicken balls were soggy, and everything was so poorly seasoned it might as well have been hospital food. They seem to spend more on fancy packaging than on spices or quality ingredients. The flavour (or lack of it) left me wondering if they even bother tasting what they serve. What makes it worse? Just a 2-minute walk away, Stan’s Chinese blows this place out of the water. Stan’s serves up flavourful, generously portioned meals for much better value. It’s the clear winner in every way. Taste Good Wok is overpriced and underwhelming. Save yourself the regret and head to Stan’s instead—you’ll thank me later.
