The best restaurants in Central Scotland

This is the most delicious breakfast that I have tasted in St Andrews recently. I chose exactly what I wanted including a flipped fried egg and it all arrived swiftly and really nicely cooked. Plus served on HOT PLATES. Wonderful. We’ll be back

Helen the manager is always welcoming as is her team! They always give 100% to ensure you get what you asked for. I would definitely recommend to family and friends just for the service alone. And as always the takeaway food is great too

Excellent Greggs. Just what you expect, food was warm and service friendly. Went in the morning and all baked fresh. Clean inside. Rest of high street has some great food too.

staying in a hotel nearby and needed some items for the room. hotel suggested here as just across the road and it was a lovely place. everything was fersh and staff friendly

Where do I start? This used to be Jokers and had a bit of a reputation, since the new owners took over it seems to be a much nicer place to go. We initially just went in for dinner, and ended staying all night as they had a quiz night on (£2 per person) I had the steak pie and chips, and my wife had the fish and chips, the portion sizes were fantastic, the food was amazing, they gave us half price off one of the meals, which meant with a cider and a Guinness came to £24. The staff were really friendly and even though it’s a mile from home we’re looking forward to the next time.

Mike has diversified and opened his first eatery in the Campsite in Strathkinness . Its a little off the beaten track but the reward at the end of your short trip from civilization makes the little effort well worth the effort . The welcome is warm ,the burgers are second only to the Vortex in Atlanta ( its a long Trip) and the view from your table is well just go and see for your self . The Coffee is Mikes own brew as you would expect .What's not to like ! Go on support local business and visit Millers Coffee Cabin .Good Luck Mike !

I am shocked at the lack of reviews and one terrible review for this place, not representative of this lovely cosy coffee shop. The coffees are slightly more expensive than the average price but well worth the extra money for a delicious coffee. My partner had a spiced latte with homemade syrup that was just perfect, not too sweet and gorgeous flavour. We will definitely be back for a coffee pitstop on our way to the highlands! The lady who runs it is really friendly and chatty, thank you so much for a lovely coffee experience!

If you fancy a cup of tea or coffee in a unique ambience, this is the place to come. Comfortable chairs and thoughtfully positioned tables in a separate room from the accompanying shop where you are served with a smile. Excellent tea and coffee in generous cups with cakes available for those not on a diet, Easy on street parking and easy access at ground floor level.

Excellent bakery with a good selection of sandwiches, pastries and deserts in the co op. Also serves coffee and hot drinks. Good service.

Another great addition to Perth’s already fantastic restaurant scene. We had all 4 of the small plates to share, 2 large wines, a pint and a nip for £50. The food was delicious and the girl who served us was lovely.

Visited Abbey View Bowling Club this afternoon for high tea. I cannot fault the quality of food or the service. Roast Beef with all the trimmings. Steak Pie Chips and vegetables. Toast Scones and a variety of home baked cakes. Cup of tea. Whole bill was £20 pounds. Oh and washed down with a a few pints of Guinness for me and Gin and Tonic for Margaret. Definitely will be back.

Popped In here after my dance class on Tuesday night We ordered a meal for one .. curry & pakora Took wee bit to receive but it was cooked fresh And nice and hot Served by friendly staff too .. he had a lovely charm about him As I was waiting, I was looking everywhere (as you do ) and the place was spotless never seen a take away so clean … Cabinets neat and tidy with no spillage Food all covered Floor so clean Arrived home and the food was not only delicious but pipping hot The only problem i now have is how to avoid every week after class lol Def recommend this place Can’t wait for Tuesday !!!!!

Came with my wife for lunch to try the new menu and the club is also now open to non-members. Sat in the bar area with lovely views over the course, service was friendly and efficient and the food was fantastic. Good value too.
