The best restaurants in Avon and Harbourne South Hams South West

Absolutely EXCEPTIONAL food - the best pub food I've ever eaten! I've been back two weekends running and the menu is different, interesting and locally sourced. Hearty fare with delicate flavours, I suspect it might be difficult to get a table here in the near future. I hope so - they deserve it! It's exceptionally well priced for what it is. I can't say enough good things about this place! I also love the decor and atmosphere; sympathetic and in keeping with the age of the pub, it feels like you're going back in time. Haberton is also a super sweet village. Parking is difficult (especially if you have a big car!), but we manage to find somewhere at the bottom of the hill, then it's just a short walk up.

Just completed the plant based weekend with Dejan, stayed in the farmhouse which is cosy and in such a beautiful location in Devon. The course was excellent, I had booked it to learn more about plant based cooking and macrobiotics and it delivered. The food was incredible, tasted new flavors, learnt about new ingredients to use and came away enthused to try the recipes at home. Thank you again Dejan, your knowledge, passion and love for macrobiotic cooking shone through and it was a lovely small group which added to my experience.

Restaurante muy luminoso y moderno dentro de un pub rural y entorno. Ravioli de vieira entrante muy sabroso si todos demasiado breve en términos de cantidad. La principal lubina estaba increíblemente bueno. En stir frito con verduras y salsa de coco gambas deliciosa que complementaba lo realmente bien. Si yo soy quisquilloso pareció que sólo necesitaba una cantidad muy pequeña de arroz en el lado pero, sin embargo, era magnífico. Fondant de chocolate - encantador choc salsa en el medio y se sirve con helado. Nuestro hijo estaba muy contento con su porción de espagueti decente. Muy buen servicio y el costo me pareció muy razonable para la calidad. Recomiendo ambos aquí y el Ship Inn en Ugborough.

Sadly not great, we've been twice now, as we thought a one off poor experience may no be repeated. Really very dry cod, overcooked on both occasions with super thick batter! I cannot understand why people think that really thick batter is a pleasant experience. Not very good sadly.

Meat eaters paradise. Steak seems to the dish of choice. Eight of us, all of us with different palates from rare to burnt. Absolutely no complaints from anyone about their dish. That plus great friendly service, what more could you want ?
