The best restaurants in Feniton and Buckerell East Devon South West

Had a lunch today from the 25 mile menu. I was really impressed by the food and wine, having the pigeon for the starter and then the Barnsley pork chop for the main. Wow it was incredibly cooked, I’m super into cooking and this chef just completely smashed it, really well done. The wine was also very impressive. Everything prepared from local ingredients (within a 25 mile radius). I’ve got nothing bad to say.

Second visit here and food is nice. Such a shame though that some of the cutlery was dirty and the plate was so obviously unclean! Dried on red food stains under my scampi and chips. No way this wouldn’t have been noticed. Sorry, not acceptable for the money paid

This place is whenever people wish for high quality home made food and a dose of tender loving care service directed at tje customer(s). Indeed, I sometimes recall my French catering professional training long ago, as well as 15 years in the Hospitality/Private Service in the USA and UK: I do know what is good or not within those trades. The restaurant is clean, tidy and very friendly. The atmosphere oozes of holistic soothing vibes. The Pie of the Day , we did think, was exquisite (my wife was previously a Chef de Partie). .Well worth the price. They also have a £5 special for tea or coffee and a piece of cake in the afternoons. We had some Earl Grey teas and the cakes (Carrot Cake and Coffee Cake) were out of this world. Merci for such a golden memory and the glowing smiles from the Manageress, and Waitresses. We are so coming back as a regular treat!

Do not accept their invitation to stay for the night. If you do at least inspect the Mattress & make sure it is stain free I was forced to ride my motorbike in appalling weather @ 11.00pm to do 60 miles back home rather than sleep on a heavily stained mattress for the night. If you think I am wrong in publishing this I am open for argument.
