The best restaurants in Bude South Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

Here for a tyre change next door at ETB enjoyed a small but satisfying breakfast from the young lady who was serving, the breakfast wasn’t swimming in grease and was more than enough for the price you pay (which was fairly low) had no expectations yet you exceeded them. Thank you. JG Chef 32 years. (Even chefs like a full English!!)

This is a must if you are in the area, food is excellent and good value. I am now a regular! Get there early because when its gone its gone.

Amazing people! Great service! Coffee is fantastic! Food marvelous! They even gave a new coffee to my Dad who wanted it just a little bit hotter! Can’t complain!

It’s been a while since we visited The Bank. However it was Valentine’s Day and we did have a gift voucher. On arrival for our 7 pm booking we were told the table was not ready…not just us but two other couples had to wait. For me the atmosphere was very much like a fast food restaurant, staff rushing everywhere with food and very little focus on the customer. A feeling that turn around more important than quality service and customer care. We ordered both starter/nibbles and some main dishes. I would say the size of all dishes were Ample, however the quality of some of the dishes was lacking. Olives were bland and a little stale, bread, although fresh would have been nice if warm. Patatas bravas over fried and tasted burnt, the more you ate. chorizo and morcilla, although some pieces very tasty, some were again burnt, and the chicken and white wine , very very dry. Calamari very mediocre. However the meatballs, pardon peppers, mushroom dishes were good. The wine list offered a good choice and realistically priced. I appreciate it was a very busy service, however it would have been nice to have a little more attention from the waiters than a cursory, “everything alright” early on in the meal. We mentioned the issues when leaving, and we were advised we should have given the feedback earlier, but to be fair, it was a little difficult to get staff attention, and we were not interested in being given replacement dishes, as we were disappoint with the food overall. Despite being a regular customer in the past, I am sorry to say ,it is unlikely we will visit again.

River Life is a lovely little cafe by the edge of Bude marshes run by Rob and Lydia. She is a fantastic cook and her scones are the best. The food is good as are the prices. Thoroughly recommend.

We had been turned away from somewhere… turned up here and welcomed with open arms cold cider and good food… you could drive past this place but please don’t

Very warm welcome from the staff and outstanding food I had a 22oz steak which was amazing with real chips and my mum had fish and chips which she really enjoyed

There was one Coeliac so needed GF, no problem they said. We all had Fish, Chips and Peas, which was delicious, mine Grilled fish, the rest of our party in batter. We can all honestly say, we have never had a more delicious meal, served very quickly by their amazing team. Would highly recommend. Thank you to staff, for making us so welcome.

Called into today whilst staying in Bude to collect a foot long for my Son. Very large seating area which was really clean and no tables left with food on. Really nice lad served me. Generous portion's and the salad all looked fresh. He had the Meatball Marinada on Hearty Italian. He loved it. Highly recommend this branch. Well done to the Staff.
