Exceptional food - not least because, whilst very contemporary, it's not drizzled or distributed in un-tastable, impossible-to -scrape-off-the-plate-to-discover-if-beyond-the-lime-green-colour-it-had-any-interesting-flavour-dots. Decent portions of properly tasty food - but-beautifully-presented - not the other way around - evidence of a genuine, craft background. Loved the passion fruit desert with...
One star because very variable level of service depending on staff. One week it's brilliant and friendly the next it's surly and off hand. It doesn't matter if food is good if you have a nasty taste in your mouth from the customer service.
Two and half stars for the breakfast. Full English breakfast is just that full; egg, bacon, hash browns, baked beans, fresh tomato, sausage and toast. Drink is extra. With ability to swap items for extra of other items.
Overall the ingredients quality is average. Great shame it cannot be excellent by purchasing quality ingredients from Tesco assuming the ingredients do come from Tesco and not from wholesale suppliers.
Five stars for: Parking a breeze. Cafe itself open and airy with new layout. Cleanliness excellent.

First visit to Subway in my life (one off the bucket list I guess) and the service was awful. My sandwich was nice, but the lady serving was not very pleasant and overcharged. Went back next day, not to complain, but being a bit baffled about charges. Very nice young man served me and manager dealt with it. What first felt like I would never use Subway again totally changed. And the subs are delicious. No idea why ppl queue up to MCDonalds next door.
