Just like to know where the latest reviews are? Would not have given it even 1 star as you can't get on to write a review without doing this. Called in yesterday the 8th of November just for a brew, but decided to have a sandwich to go with it, chose a ham sandwich which was the worst thing I did, for £8.25 it was rediculous what arrived 2 small sandwiches and some sad looking lettuce on a board, was expecting proper ham but inside was plastic ham and not very much, ps the type that you get in packets from Tesco, I did complain about it while I was there but didn't get anything knocked off the bill. Altogether with the drinks cost £16.75. Anyone else who goes here please check quality of the sandwich before you start eating it. Will not be going again, a very unhappy customer.

We were having a lazy bank holiday Sunday so decided to try the Bay Horse for a late breakfast. I regularly drive past the pub so had spotted the sign which advertised breakfast on Saturday/Sunday, 9.30am until 2pm.It was quiet when we arrived at about 12.45; there seemed to be more staff than customers but at least that meant we didn’t have to wait long for service. We both chose the large breakfast. Priced at £6.95 this included:2 bacon, 2 sausages, 2 hash browns, 2 eggs, mushrooms, beans, black pudding, fresh tomato, fried bread and toast with butter, plus a tea or coffee. The coffee was a decent sized mug but quite weak; we drink ours black so we were glad we didn’t have to add milk or it would have been weaker still.Breakfast arrived quickly and looked like a decent plate of food. The mushrooms were barely warm, but as these have a tendency to cool quickly, we overlooked it. The fresh tomato was actually a tinned plum tomato, but again, we weren’t bothered about that. Bacon and hash browns were a bit soggy but edible. I really didn’t like the sausages, but my other half didn’t mind them so ate mine as well as his own. To me, they tasted cheap, with a minimal meat content. Given that there is an excellent butchers shop just down the road from the pub, I didn’t think there was any excuse for poor quality produce, although the price of the breakfast (for what was included) probably reflects that. The eggs were over cooked and rubbery, like they’d been cooked earlier and kept warm. My black pudding was completely raw; my OH’s was barely cooked. We both left this and told the waitress it was raw, for which she apologised. We were almost halfway through the breakfast when my OH realised we hadn’t been given any toast. He asked the waitress and she returned back immediately with 4 halves of pre buttered toast that were stone cold; obviously these had been forgotten to be brought out with the food.At this point, we decided we’d had enough, so finished our drinks, paid and left. The Bay Horse offers a basic menu of pub classics, as well as their breakfast menu, but based on our experience, we wouldn’t return here for food.
