My partner and I visited Ozone Restaurant at Seaham Hall for the first time last night. The venue itself has a very tranquil and almost ethereal ambience to it. We were warmly welcomed by the receptionist in the foyer and signposted inside towards the restaurant. At the entrance to the restaurant we were greeted by staff and despite an administrative/booking anomaly (not on our part), we were accommodated and seated at a table on the upper level of the restaurant. We were offered drinks swiftly and ordered our food shortly afterwards, both opting to explore three courses from the mouth watering menu to hand. The dishes we ordered were as follows: Starters Crab Bao Buns Indonesian Marinated Chicken Mains Ramen - Miso Soya Milk Broth, Crispy Pork, Soy Cured Egg, Soba Noodles, Roasted Chilli and Peanut Oil Steamed Sea Bass, King Prawns, Pak Choi and Yellow Curry Sauce Sides Koffman Fries Pan Asian Potatoes Desserts Chocolate Peanut Cookie with Ice Cream Sticky Ginger Pudding The food was exquisite, rich and tasty. The duration between courses was perfectly balanced and it afforded us the time to soak up the evening. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was a fine balance of relaxed and vibrant. The fidelity and fusion of Pan Asian cuisine and the preparation of it could be heard going on around you but it wasn't overbearing at any stage. The layout of the restaurant was comfortable and provided an elegant feel. The staff were extremely personable and attentive, providing regular checks on our experience and were present as and when needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and this was exemplified by the level of customer service provided by Kristen and the rest of the team. Afterwards we were supported in purchasing some items from the Spa shop to complete our evening and the Therapist on hand was friendly and responsive to our needs. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

This is the most truly awful over priced poor quality food I think we have ever had. Giving it 1 was too high! Del boys would be a better name. Milkshake had an enormous chunk of ice in more than anything else. Panini soggy and tasteless. Words cannot describe just how truly awful this place is

Just stopped by for lunch. Although it's a beautiful hotel in lovely surroundings I would not recommend having a lunch from the bar menu. The sandwiches were priced £12-14 which we would have been happy to pay had the quality of the food matched the place itself. Bread was basically thick supermarket sliced, the fillings decidedly average, a few crisps and a miserable offering of salad. The teas looked amazing, other guests were having these at lunchtime and we can see why given the rubbish we were served!

At £28 per person from one of the top hotels in the North East I was expecting a lot better, 4 small finger sandwiches each, 4 scones and small cakes. Not a lot of effort and no selection of desserts cakes and pastries as advertised. I had a flat white which was cold so asked for another and received a cold cappuccino! We had been gifted afternoon tea for 2 as a birthday gift (£56) and so I emailed the hotel to ask if I brought my niece and nephew would I have to buy another two teas and was told no. We were seated and I gave my gift voucher to the staff explained it was two teas. Embarrassingly we were charged £56 for an additional two teas. Also £11 for a glass of wine!! Not recommended at all. Very disappointing.

We had fish bites (generous portion of large fish "chunks"), large sausage, chips, gravy, peas and scraps! It was a lovely treat to have and take onto the beach nearby to eat. Really friendly chap who served me.
