Our Favourite Restaurant Diyarbakir Sofrasi at 458 Edgware Rd, London W2 1EJ After a long break since COVID, I recently revisited a favourite local restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. The new Head Chef, Mr. Riza, Manager Ms. Eva, and Head Baker Ms. Fidan form an exceptional team, whom I call the "Three Musketeers," for their honesty, sincerity, and warmth. As a vegetarian two days a week, I ordered lentil soup, and the staff thoughtfully informed me it might contain chicken stock. Chef Riza clarified it was only a chicken cube used for seasoning, which I appreciated for their transparency. This predominantly Turkish restaurant offers a fine-dining twist with Levantine influences, making each dish irresistible. Chef Riza’s mastery of the open pit grill, working with various kebabs and grilled dishes, feels like watching a kitchen soap opera unfold. Similarly, watching Ms. Fidan expertly bake bread in the oven is like witnessing an orchestra in motion. Both create an experience that feels like theatre, without the need for a ticket. The staff is highly trained, maintaining excellent service and efficiency. I now frequent the restaurant more often, eager to try their non-vegetarian dishes as well. I wish the team continued success © Ash-Cash and Ash and Karen

Llegó tarde un domingo por la tarde. Comí un fabuloso cuenco de Poke. Excelente comida, e igual de importante, la pareja que lo dirige era tan encantador. La próxima vez que esté en la zona, sin duda volveré.

Great takeaway pizza, reasonably priced and order ready quickly and on time. Pepperoni and Mexican pizzas on authentic Italian base were really good.

I've lived near Guido's for six years and never thought to go in. From the outside, it didn't strike me as anything special but boy was I wrong. A friend wanted to try it so I dutifully tagged along and the food was incredible. We had one of the sharing platters, took recommendations from the waiter on sides and I'm glad we did - it was amazing. I can't wait to go back.

Dined at the recently opened Anabella's at the weekend for dinner as they had a soft opening discount after 5 p.m. and it seemed a shame not to take advantage of it. On entering , we were seated straight away and shown the menus - the new dinner menu and the all day menu. The decor of the restaurant was quite stylish and in keeping with Aren's establishments . The seats were very comfortable and nicely spaced apart. There was 5 starters on the dinner menu and none of them took my fancy so opted to start with eggs benedict & florentine from the all day menu, both of which were delicious, the bacon was tasty and crisp , the spinach & mushroom was perfect, the sauce was light and most importantly the poached eggs were hot ! My main course of "Holy Cluck” Puck chicken burger was fine , a little fiddly to eat and I'm not sure the bagel puck roll works with the dish but the fries were awesome, served in a separate dish and plenty of them . The "Dairy Cow" beef burger again was fine, 2 patties with cheese and salad served in a bagel bun. Perhaps an overload of fried food. A fellow diner complained that the " have you any allergies " question was not asked but it was probably a training issue and an oversight. Drinks were as you would expect, well designed cocktail list, house red wine was £24.80 for a bottle, it was nice that they brought a jug of water to the table too. Service was spot on, efficient yet friendly, plates were cleared not long after you finished which was good. There is a free to use car park out the back for diners which was appreciated on a busy Saturday night, a relic of the Cafe Rouge days. Overall , it was quite a nice meal, the atmosphere was buzzy without being too noisy. Hopefully there will be some tweaks to the evening dinner menu and a prawn cocktail or soup introduced to make it more of an evening menu and differentiate it from the all day menu . BTW it is card only and you can order using the QR code at the table during the day whereas in the evening it is table service.
