We visited to celebrate a birthday . It was very busy at lunchtime but we had very good service . The staff were not hurried and we felt we got personal service .i have lived near here for over a dozen years and never had bad service or food I would recommend eating here Large car park with outdoor/covered eating should you choose We would definately be coming back for special lifetime events

10/10 the best place around here, if not in London. Not only the mulled wine is DELICIOUS, but they also had a new member of staff who accidentally massively overcharged us. The other team members were super apologetic and refunded me without fuss. Such delightful staff. Will be coming back! Definitely a local favourite. :)

It was a fantastic experience My son and I enjoyed every bite. We been offered some sweet to go home with.

The food was delicious if a bit small for the price. The tuna was exquisite as was the beef. The service was, however, inattentive and slow.

We visited for a work event, there is a check desk on entry, coats and cases can be put away. There is a lift up a few floors and stairs to reach the top floors. There are private rooms and areas around the bar for seating. The place is dimly lit and fairly quiet. We were told membership may be required for general visits. The food was amazing but the drinks were a little costly for my preference, for a one off visit it was fair. The place was great for our work event and the team who supported during the day and night were very friendly and accommodating and helpful.

Fab food but... Service slow. If you have a late sitting beware the bar shuts at 10pm and if you want coffee after dinner you best order before they turn off the machine! (10pm) You don't need to ask for the bill either as they bring it over to tell you they are closing in 5 mins. Not a particularly relaxed evening when your rushed. If we'd known before hand, we would have booked an earlier sitting.

Lovely breakfast, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Had eggs on toast with a coffee for £8.75 and well worth it. Would recommend if you’re in the area!

Nice relaxed hotel with 10 excellent rooms and great mattresses. Good food and a nice bar. Wifi free and excellent.

I recently visited the Townhouse for afternoon tea to celebrate my mother’s birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience. The staff were exceptional, accommodating all of our requests with care and professionalism. A special mention to Ash, who served our food and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The presentation and flavors of the afternoon tea were absolutely delightful and lived up to the high expectations. The atmosphere was warm and elegant, making it a wonderful setting for such a special occasion. Thank you to the team for making the day so memorable.

Very courteous staff. The food was all of excellent quality. The only flaw was that the starter I had was too cold... in my opinion it should have been kept slightly warmer.
