The best restaurants in Scole South Norfolk East of England

I entered Crossways late in the day, 4PM, and was able to order from a full menu. I opted for sausage and mash. Was I glad that I did. After a long walk, it was a most satisfying meal. The three sausages were very tasty and beautifully cooked. The mash was delicious and creamy. The petit pois soft and tender. All served with a delicious onion gravy which I suspect was made with shallots judging by the subtle flavour. Service was first class, with a smile. An excellent experience all round. Will certainly eat there often from now on.

Excellent olde worlde pub with amazing Italian style food. Pizzas were excellent using some local products but would have preferred more used Slightly expensive but overall a great place and food..

The Red Lion campsite Booked through Pitch Up, we didn't know what to expect. A small site at the rear of the pub, we had hot water and toilet access 24/7, a pot wasing area, eletric hook up a lovely village to walk around and access to the pub when opened. And the wonderful Michael, who was so helpful - pulling our campervan out when we got stuck and lent us his drill when our number plate fell off! A great site for rest and relaxation! The Red Lion pub/food We were staying at the camapsite at the rear of the pub and booked NYE hog roast. We were not disappointed: roast port, crackling and 4 salads and crusty bread and butter. And entertainment for the evening. No crowded bar, everyone had a seat at the tables scattered around the pub. Great welcome, fantastic food and entertainment and great value for money. We will be back when we stay again!

Fabulous pub/restaurant. Great menu choice, good value, very friendly staff that accommodated us for late lunch. Parking available and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. A true gem.
