Food and service always good.... Prices have crept up with deserts now at £8 So will just have to be a treat or special occasion visits

Family coming from Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk. This was the first time we'd been here. The staff were excellent in their welcome and service. The food presentation, portions and quality again were excellent. The menu gives very good choices and has been well thought out. The White Hart is comfortable and relaxing with a nice size garden (with play area for children that is safe but does not intrude). We had a really enjoyable time, thanks to all at the White Hart.

If you’re the kind of person who enjoys a gamble with your gastrointestinal health, then by all means, pull up a chair at this establishment. From the moment we sat down and were handed cloudy, suspiciously dirty glasses that seemed to have skipped the whole concept of hygiene, the tone was set. A bad omen, as it turned out. We ordered what should have been the safest choice on any menu: beef burger and chips. But this was no ordinary disaster - this was culinary sabotage. The burger arrived with parts still uncooked, an unsettling achievement for any catering establishment. And just as I thought things couldn’t get worse, I nearly cracked a tooth on what appeared to be a shard of bone lurking inside the patty like some sort of edible booby trap. The chips were no better, tasting like they'd been fried in yesterday's regret. To their credit, the staff were mortified and refunded our meals with many apologies, which was probably the most well-prepared part of the experience - the refund routine. Since then, I’ve only heard tales of similar woe from others who’ve darkened their door, each confirming that this place is where taste buds go to die. Approach with caution. Or better yet, don’t approach at all.
