Well you talk about a sleepy village pub with a bit of a reputation as a yo yo pub....Not any more...! Just had one of the best Italian meals outside Italy...lie not! Simple ingredients,no frills no arty food this is simple wholesome Italian food at its best, and it's a plateful! Fabulous pasta and chicken dish matched with a cracking red wine at a very reasonable price. Great atmosphere, easy going friendly staff. I was back in the Italian countryside where I spent a lot of time near Torino and Modena when I ate here tonight...that good. Worth a visit trust me. And....you must try the Lemonchello milk drink.. It's a family secret....and ...I have only had one this good in Modena.
