Great coffee and baklava, friendly service. What more could you ask for?!

First time visiting Frankie’s today and we both left feeling very well fed and not out of pocket. The variety of meals is vast, the quality is fresh and the servings are generous. Would definitely recommend and we plan to return. From two very satisfied customers.

I come here after or before I go to the gym, it’s a lovely cafe with very nice food, nice people and wonderful atmosphere!

Every time I go to Frankie’s they are very friendly, offer quick service and will prepare almost anything (even if not on the menu) I have been in there a few times and he remembers my last order every time! The homemade baklava is to die for; I always have to bring some home for my wife!

Great menu, and very pleasant staff

rude and embarrassing. we ordered baklava and he shouted " one for the baby". My partner and myself were stunned. He then continued to say " boy or girl" ,to which my partner said none, shes not pregnant. He then clearly didn't listen and said " you don't know yet?" my partner again said " she's not pregnant" at this point I'm in tears in the cafe in front of everyone. looks over at me and says " I put you an extra one in for the baby " I'm a young lass this completely broke my self confidence embarrassed and upset I won't return

I went there for brunch with my partner and I asked for Baklava to take home and the person at the till persisted to ask me whether my partner is having a boy or girl when she is not even pregnant. Despite me saying neither more than once This is astounding behaviour and is not tolerable. This has seriously affected my partner. Poor experience

WORST BREAKFAST IVE EVER HAD! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!

I am not normally one to leave reviews but unfortunately this was not a very good experience at all. I had a breakfast and everything tasted re heated the beans came with scum around my plate. As I went up to pay the bill i was over charged. I would avoid this place especially for a breakfast.

Food was fantastic no faults at all Service was bang on and i felt very welcomed . Its worth a detor to go and eat ..thats how i found it and ive saved it in my maps

The breakfast here is always cooked and seasoned to perfection. Service is friendly and fast. They add herbs to the mushrooms which is a nice touch.

Best cafe I have been to. Very friendly staff and great service, prices are very affordable too. I would recommend the lamb donner as it's done like a proper meal. We visit the reptile shop next door and then get lunch here, always a delight! Owner and staff are very friendly too.

Awful, rip off Charged £6.10 for black coffee and egg roll ... The sloppiest egg roll, eggs were pre cooked and the bloke slapped them back on the grill with his bare hands then proceeded to wipe his hands on a dirty towel. Coffee was horrible. On exiting I saw the sign outside states £2.95 roll and coffee.

Previous experiences @ Frankie's have been good, reasonable value for solidly good food. I had read reviews previously stating overcharging or miss leading menu which I had never given a thought to. I ordered a chicken omelette which I thought would be little plain by itself, at the bottom of the section, the menu item states 'Extra Toppings' with a list of 4 toppings @ £1.60, at no point does the menu state 'each' and clearly says 'toppings' (plural). The expectation is if you choose one you get a reasonable amount, if you choose 2 half and half and so on. This is not the case and when it came time pay I was charged £1.60 per topping, as I had chosen what I though would be sprinkling of all four. Considering the main menu item (Chicken Omelette) is £7.10 I was then charged for what was a sprinkling of four other toppings with limited Chicken, the additional toppings amounted to £6.40 which was a joke . For that the four toppings should have been overflowing the plate and they weren't. I questioned this and the wording used on the menu that doesn't say each anywhere and states 'toppings' not 'topping' the guy behind the counter said, 'next time I'll get that changed' and shrugged his shoulders. Agreeing and stating in the next print of your menu you'll get it something changed means that it currently isn't right. No change was made the bill and I paid but I will never return, I live in Hardwick and visit Frankie's once a month on average with my partner and or children but will now happily travel not get ripped off.

Always worth stopping at . Good food . Popped in last week for a breakfast, didn't get a sausage, I got half a sausage . Yes a sausage cut in half . I know the cost of things are going up but cutting a sausage in half . Frankie would never have dreamed of such a thing . It needs to get back to Frankie's standered before it's to late and gone . It was HALF of a sausage .

The place could be alright if it had some staff who knew what was doing instead two teenagers running around looking at each other, if the oils actually got changed, food wasn’t cross contaminated, and food wasn’t tasting like burnt oil/ cheese. The hash browns looked like bark chippings in colour. The panini was brown and black and stunk and tasted of burnt cheese. The pancakes had a few mushrooms stuck on the bottom, one half of the plate had syrup the other had oil. And there was bits of tomatoes in the beans. It took 55 minutes to bring out 3 coffees which I asked for 4 times. The two waitresses looked very confused when asked for extra hash browns at ordering. And the salad was shrivelled up leaves didn’t look fresh at all. The best thing there was the bottled drinks. Sorry to be harsh but what I say is the absolute truth, in all fairness it is one man cooking by himself as two teenagers look at each other confused.

A pleasant welcome from the owner it was quieter than l expected it to be. I had a Nicely cooked full brekie with toast and tea at £8.20, This place a place where a friend and l used to visit very often. He passed away just over a year ago, this is the first time since then so good memories he will be there in spirit every time l go there. Been here a couple of times for breakfast, knocked it out the park this time 👍 Way above your average "greasy spoon" This is fresh cooked well seasoned great food at surprisingly good value served with Italian style i.e. great coffee!

Fast and friendly service! My partners and I go here multiple times a month and is our go to for a good breakfast or lunch. Amazing prices for the Cambridge area and has nice indoor and outdoor seating. Food is very good, highly recommend the set breakfasts, the mushrooms and the omelettes. Also the man makes a great cuppa.

Employees always super friendly and helpful! The homemade Baklava is so good. I've been back a few times because the food is really tasty and reasonably priced - I've had cheese on toast, full English, chips and the sausage bap so far and they've all be super nice. The full English isn't horribly greasy, it's nice and filling and it's exactly what you need after a late night!

After being a regular customer of Frankies since it opened I will no longer hand over my money. I had a fantastic brrakfast in Feb from new owner but Friday i visited and waited 45 mins for a bacon roll only to find it lacking. 1 bit of bacon is all you get for £2.70 ? They were very busy so the wait was forgivable but to then get 'a' bit of bacon was a shocker. When i asked the owner thru the outside window i had just been server thru he replied grumpily ' £2.70... 1 bit of bacon'. It was like.. what do you expect?? Er 2 ?? My son done a bit better with a saugage and a half in his £2.70 sausage bap. Lost a local regular thru being rude and stingy !

Very impressed at how clean this place is, and the service is really good. Just the right place to get hot food to go, which is all freshly cooked too. Have eaten from here a few times, and would recommend it for sure.

Stopped off to have a bite to eat. A clean establishment that the owners clearly take pride in. The side salad to omelette was again created with a passion for the ingredients. A good find.

Everything that is bad about cheap cafes, poor food, poor service and wanted to charge 20p for a glass of tap water. I live near by but will always travel further to Reed or the mocha in Saffron Walden for much better food and overall experience. 20/5/22 I posted this years ago, it was true...It may not be now?!?

Excellent breakfast and now has outside cover so I can sit out with my dog when it's raining. Always good value.

Only place in the area that opens early so I can get some breakfast before work. Good food, good service, not too expensive for Cambridge area. Lots of choice on the menu to work through before you find your favourite.

Had an amazing breakfast here today. The owner was friendly and welcoming and accomodated out specific requests. It has changed hands since I was last here pre covid and is completely different. Amazing value for money, great quality food all served with a smile. Would highly recommend 👍

Nice small cafe. Lovely food, enormous portions, very friendly staff. BUT! Be careful because owner/from my experience/ always charges a few pounds extra. I don't know why is he doing it. Is it worth to do that? He thinks that people don't realise that? Shame. Therefore only 3 stars. Otherwise he will get 5.

They were under staffed when I visited so I had to wait 50 minutes for my food and they forgot to give me a coffee that I had paid for! Which is a shame because the food was very nice. I would definitely recommend you visit them because hopefully this was just an off day.

Frankie's is now a Saturday morning family brunch staple. Great portions, and easy to swap out for items the kids prefer. The pancake children's breakfast and milkshakes are a favourite! I tried the Frankie's breakfast combo with liver, onions and mushrooms and it was very tasty.

Breakfast bagguettes are overpriced, not in a french stick and all three orders were wrong. 3rd time we have eaten here and not impressed one bit

I think the place has changed hands. Bacon over cooked , Luke warm beans no coffee given with the meal ( even though it's part of it) and an extortionate price. Will not be going back again.

Amazing food and amazing service. Such friendly staff with smiles as soon as you walk in. Service was amazing, we said we were waiting for a couple more people to come so wanted to just have drinks to begin with and the owner brought over two plates of food for us to enjoy while we waited for free. The portion sizes were brilliant even for kids meals! Definitely recommend this place, will 100% return!

Came in just before closing time but we didn't realise and wanted to eat in, owner stayed open so we could have our meals and dine in. Food was amazing, large portion sizes even for kids meal and delicious. Staff so friendly and Even his daughter helped by bringing us menus and our cutlery with such lovely manners, she was adorable. Brilliant service and food. Will definitely be returning.

Couldn't fault it. Staff and chef were friendly, service was fast, no messing about. Menu is as you would expect for a café, just what I wanted for a late breakfast. Parking is easy and can pay by card.

I went in for the first time, 3 members of staff waiting around me to make my order however I just wanted a minute to read the menu? I asked for a chicken baguette and a rocky road. When I was waiting on my food I noticed a big hair on the rocky road plate, so I informed the lady that there's a hair on the plate, I don't want this anymore. So she took the plate out of the counter and took the hair off and put it back on the counter?! THEN the chef came over and said very rudely to me 'whats the problem here speak speak speak' so I explained, he told me it would of been marshmallow these things happen, then picked up a piece of rocky road AFTER cooking my chicken to inspect with sweat dripping off his head ONTO the plate of rocky road and then put it back onto the counter!! The lady said no it was a hair, I already took it off. He didn't apologise and went back to cooking my chicken. After seeing him sweat all over the plate and counters my stomach just turned. I thought enough is enough and asked for my money back. From the minute I walked in, horrible experience. Will never return.

Just had a fantastic lunch at Frankies. The salad was fresh, portions were huge (including the children's meal) and lattes were lovely. Such a good price too. We will definitely be back.
