Great fish & chips, friendly staff, cooked to order. Our favourite in Cambridge!

First trip to Jaws fish and chips takeaway. I ordered cod and chips. The cod cooked from fresh. The gentleman was courteous and friendly. On arriving home and opening the package I noticed straight away how 'brown' the chips were, not just a few but the entire portion had been overcooked. One side of the cod was crispy, the other side of the batter was soggy. A little disappointing to be honest, I did not enjoy the cod and chips... Not an impressive first visit to Jaws.

I have to say this is the best chip shop by far. The fish is perfect with a light batter and large piece of fish unlike other chippies and it's cooked to perfection. The chips are lovely and again a decent large portion. 10/10 for me.

It's taken me a while to write this despite being a regular customer as Jaws feels like a secret best kept. I worked my way around a few Cambridge chippies before settling on Jaws as my regular. The fish is cooked to order and has always been spot on with a crisp batter that's not too heavy, and chips that are crisp outside and nicely fluffy in the middle. Being cash only is the only downside for me.

Basically just a standard old school chip shop. Barely any queues and grub is cooked fresh. No complaints, always a decent meal here. Large Cod small chips is plenty for me.

Best chips for miles around, i still drive here having moved even further away as the 4 nearer to me canr compete. Staff are friendly too

Lovely men who work there! Cook fresh to order! Which I love! Most chip shops don't do that! Very patient and friendly. So cheap! Great value! Big portion sizes! Should up the prices!! A must go too!!!!

It was clean but tired. Open when most other fish and chip shops are shut.

Food is cooked extremely well, I've been coming here for over 20 years. Fresh and very tasty! Highly recommended.

Food is good and reasonably priced but they only take cash which is a bit inconvenient.

Excellent fish and chips - great batter and no skin on fish. Optional salt and vinegar. Friendly, helpful, quick, and efficient staff. Easy parking straight outside the door. Definitely my favourite Cambridge fish and chip shop (for more than 23 years!)

Popped in just before closing as the place I usually go was shut and I'm so glad I did. The cod and chips were incredible! Really fresh, perfectly cooked and would rival anything you'd get on a day out at the seaside. Lovely.

After we moved out of the village, we're still happy to travel several junctions along the A14 to get fish and chips.

Good example of a traditional British chippy, serving excellent food. Only slight inconvenience is they don't take card payments, so make sure you bring cash.

My husband and I were really sick after eating here wont be using this chip shop ever again!

The curry sauce was a watery, powdery out of a packet taste and consistency. The chips were a dark yellow colour and over cooked. The battered sausage was probably the only thing that saved it. Had high hopes with the near 5 star rating, wouldn't go back though.

We went today and then cycled down to the river, both of use very impressed batter on fish lovely and crispy , chips love as well as mushy peas, we will certainly be back

Visited on the way home for F & C as a change from Waterbeach. Although cheaper it was smaller. Tasted fine though.

Tiny little shop, and parking area handy if not a little awkward, but thoroughly enjoyed my fish and chips.

One of the best chippys I've tried, and they do my favourite fish that I can rarely find. Love the chips, would definitely recommend.

My friends say Jaws have the best chips in Cambridge. I'm no chip expert, and a bit disappointed to think that this is as good as it gets. But yeah, they're good chips.

I've lived in Milton for a year, and not once has Jaws let us down. From the hilarity of the name to fresh fish and crispy chips - these guys work really hard to turn out good fresh food every time we stop by!

Good food, lovely crispy batter, good value. Curry sauce much better than mushy peas here.

Not bad overall. Nice fish but the batter's a bit thick, good chips, the battered sausage was bland and the 'homemade' curry sauce was pretty average. I'm not sure if they cook to order either. I asked if they could, but got a reply of "It depends what you order", which I took to mean if you order what's been sitting there for 05-60 minutes you'll get that instead of a fresh cook. So far, for this general area, Churchill's over in Bar Hill are the best, and their curry sauce is really good.

Very good fish and chips, not at all greasy. Fish had a lovely crunch to the batter. Service good.

I ordered a large cod and there was hardly any fish and a lot of batter, never going there again!
