Terrible customer service from our Indian waitress. First we asked if we could switch the lamb tikka from the meat platter starter for something else. I happened to say I would eat the lamb seekh kebabs in the platter but she took this as me wanting an extra portion of seekh kebabs. When the food was served they brought out the extra portion so I sent it back realising the mistake. Our waitress then came out to "discuss". Mistakes and misunderstandings happen so this shouldn't be a big deal but she went on and on about how I said I wanted them. It got to the point where I had to say twice that I don't care anymore and I'll take them if it's that big a deal! Second issue was that while I was in the middle of eating my main course she came over to the table and asked me if I wanted a box to take the rest away. Talk about making me feel uncomfortable and like they were trying to rush us out the door! Final issue, and probably the worst, was when we did finish she came over and demanded we leave a review. She pushed a Google review thing right in front of me and said tap my phone. Ok so I did and it opened up Chrome and asked for my sign in details. She literally stood right over my shoulder watching me enter everything including password. I feel she tried to embarrass/guilt/shame me into leaving a good review. Well here's the result - she should be embarrassed and ashamed.

Me and my partner went for a curry both ordered a butter chicken which shouldn't have any spice in it, they brought them out to us and they were very spicy. We sent them back and asked for a mild butter chicken and they brought them back out even spicier. My partner then ate a bit of hers but I sent mine back again and asked for a korma which I presumed would have been safe but no that was too spicy too I couldn't be bothered to return this so I ate a little bit of it and left the rest really disappointing. I know Indian food can be spicy but the dishes we ordered shouldn't have contained any the chef needs to learn Indian cooking again and understand you don't have to load spice into every dish.

Absolutely perfect food i had lamb jalfrezi perfectly cooked lamb served instantly clean immaculate surroundings nice calming environment nice glass of wine perfect belated mothers day! Best Indian ive ever had beats liverpool definitely coming back thank you for our lovely experience.

Had a great dinner at Ziya. We ordered pani puri, meat platter, murgh biryani and lamb jalfrezi - all of which was yum! We were also served by their lovely staff - Aditya and Kritika. Would recommend for a good Indian desi meal.

Unsolicited we all felt Ziya was worthy of a great review. As students of the Curry mile back in the 80s we had been warned that things had changed. I'm delighted to say that Ziya's was fantastic and brought back our memories of good value curry's - the Cobra helped 👍
