Love their food! Pollo Fritto is woo la la!! Service staff is great! Friendly and attentive.

In a near empty restaurant we got seated right next to the toilets as the restaurant “fully booked”… not exactly welcoming. Food was mostly good. Much friendlier places to go in North Berwick with better food.

Carbonara was perfect. Lovely and creamy. Portion size was massive, great value for money(had to get a takeaway tub). Morgan our waitress was very welcoming and accommodating.

Fantastic food & value for money, despite other reviews-staff very courteous

First of all, the staff were so friendly and helpful even though they were extremely busy.... unlike the other 4 cafe's/restaurants we tried in Berwick. The food was really nice and they just made smaller portions for the kids as there wasn't a kids menu. Would certainly recommend.

Very nice food and quick and friendly service. We had multiple tapas dishes between 3 of us and they all arrived at the same time. We will definitely return when in North Berwick.

Good food, loved that the pasta had the tapas size as an option. Got to taste a lot! Also they had a proper bar where one American can get an Aperol Spritz.

The worst risotto I've ever got! Just goopy and they have no salami for their pizza - Italian and no salami, what a joke!

I went in a couple of weeks ago and had tapas sat outside in the sunshine! Lovely food. The service was great. They close early on a Sunday evening during peak summer times, that was a little bit of a surprise but didn’t spoil my visit as I changed my plans to go a little earlier. I’ll definitely be back. The tapas was delicious!

Really enjoyed the food and service! Incredibly pleasant wait staff and accommodating with dietary restrictions. The broccoli appetizer was soooo well cooked with the perfect seasonings to compliment - and the caprese salad was delicious. My husband enjoyed the macaroni and cheese with sausage and kids split a pizza and calamari. Everyone was happy and full when we left!

The food was very nice and the surroundings are pleasant, leading to a nice atmosphere. The staff were also pleasant, but the service could have been a bit quicker given that they weren't busy. There was no check whether everything was OK with the meal and when we got up to leave after paying nobody said goodbye or thanked us for our custom - little things, I know, but they are important if you want your customers to feel valued...

Lovely food prompt service and not too expensive. Starter mains and desert for just less than £80. Very popular, so booking is essential. Parking close by in public car par or round back in private car park hut this is small.

Very nice food and atmosphere, attentive waitress

We've been visiting North Berwick twice a year for the last 15 years. When Zittos first opened it was a welcomed newcomer for food. The menu was extensive with tapas options as well as traditional starters/mains and desserts. However, it feels like the standard has dropped over the last few years. The menu has significantly reduced and there are a few options that were my "go to" choices that are no longer on the menu. Their pizzas are good with tasty toppings but having tried a few different pasta and risotto options, they have been pretty average. The restaurant and front bar/eating area are still nice and well laid out. The staff were lovely and attentive whilst we were in. I had flagged that the paper menus had seen better days with stains, creases and dog eared/torn corners on the three we were given. The staff advised that there were some menu changes afoot and the menus were due for replacement. Fair enough but the cost of printing out some fresh copies shouldn't be too expensive. First impressions and all that! The prices are average and its good to have an option of sizes for pasta and risotto dishes. I would say that £11.95 for a patè starter seems outrageous though! It looked so out of place compared to the prices of the other dishes....perhaps a typo? We will no doubt give it another try during our next stay given the proposed changes to the menu and hope that it recaptures our taste buds!

A great place to eat food was fabulous

Excellent food and service. Think menu has been reduced since last visit (pre Covid) but still plenty choice. Staff coped brilliantly with our group with an age range 2 to over 80!

A wee weekend trip to North Berwick. After walking the town, we were looking for a good nice place to eat. Ended up in Zitto, to be honest one of the best food and service experience I had in a long time. Wonderful tapas as shown in the pictures, the prawns and haggis both were 10/10. Main course was little bland but the presentation was descent. Definitely recommend to people looking for a cute and comfy place to have lunch in Berwick.

I have to give the five start service to Tammie. Our first time being here. The restaurant was really busy today and we were waiting nearly an hour for our starter. Tammie was really lovely making sure we were alright and coming from behind the bar to make sure we were comfortable and if we were needing more drinks. We really were taken care of by her. She has such a warm welcoming bubbly personality and is a credit to the business!

It was authentic and tasteful dinner

We had a late table at half 8 and meant we were the ones in there. Service was good, food was good. I'd recommend the arachini, the pizzas are nice but a tad expensive in my opinion. Otherwise a nice restaurant.

Visited this place twice in the past but disappointed this time as the seafood pasta dish was not fresh fish but cooked from frozen, I know this because I eat alot of fresh fish ! £15.95 was a bit steep as not to be fresh fish ! . Maybe because its January and its quiet I don't know . The menu has changed too so not a great choice either The garlic bread pizza with cheese was as lovely than it was last time though .

Very pleasant restaurant in North Berwick. All the food was freshly made, to order. My mushroom risotto was delicious. My husband loved the minestrone soup and his freshly made pizza. I won't hesitate to eat here again

Loved it. Sat a high table near the door on a Tuesday PM. Nice selection of Italian tapas and Birra Moretti on draft- perfect!

On our first visit to North Berwick we decided to have lunch at Zitto. We ordered three Tapas plates and the bruschetta, which were fine. We were automatically given a jug of iced water by the senior waitress, which was a nice touch. Prior to our meal my wife ordered a 'large glass of sauvignon blanc'. The wine was nice and later she re ordered 'sauvignon blanc - the same one again please'. On receiving the bill we were charged £12.00 for the first glass of wine and £8.00 for the second. On looking at the wine list, there were two different types of sauvignon but at no point did we ask for the more expensive glass. When we raised this with the waitress who had been serving us she did amend the bill but offered no hint of an apology. My wife then gave her a tip worth 10% of the bill. The waitress then gave us a 'thank you' followed up by what appeared to be a sarcastic smile which she wiped from her face instantly. We later wished we hadn't bothered with the tip. North Berwick was lovely - but the overall service experience at Zitto wasn't.

Awful service would not recommend and would not return. This is our first time in North Berwick and everyone recommended Zitto to us so we booked a table. What a disaster from start to finish the waitress was not very good at all, she took our drink orders which was fine and then took our food order. We both ordered starters before our main meal which my partner was really looking forward to. We waited quite a while for our drinks and almost as soon as we got our drinks our main meals came out which confused us and we questioned her asking where was our starters. To which she replied we are too busy either you can have it along your main or I just take them off. We were not happy at all with this attitude. But we weren’t about to have starters with our mains so we told her to take it off. Started to enjoy our pastas which to be fair was very nice but then noticed every other table was offered fresh Parmesan as we were not and most other tables were getting good service apart from the ones being served by this waitress the table next to us got their whole bill free because she had also made mistakes on every single one of their dishes as it wasn’t what they ordered. Then it was time for ordering dessert as we had long ago finished our mains and we thought we would order dessert instead of getting our starters what a wait she refused to come over to us, we sat waiting for a long time to the point we asked another waiter if we could maybe order desserts which he was more than happy to comply. Our desserts came out quite fast however was missing items from both our desserts and they forgot our snowball which we ordered extra as well. We asked and they got our snowball but the rest of our desserts was basically tough you get what your given type attitude. We finished our food and at that point we just wanted out of there. It took almost 40 minutes for the bill to arrive and there was only 3 tables with people we waited so long my partner ended up going up to the bar and asking for the bill as we were fed up and had waited way to long for service. We payed and left but some of the staff need very serious training on attitudes and service, as someone who also works in the restaurant industry I was shocked by this performance. Would not recommend to others shame as food is actually really good.

Had two meals in a ten day period. Food is absolutely fine, all our table guests enjoyed their food. Service was friendly, if a little stretched. Overall, we had two great evenings, good wine and tasty food, Zitto's has served us a very reliably pleasant meal out for years and has become part of our holiday in North Berwick.

Amazing italian food, i would rate the taste 5|5! Loved the fungi pizza, arancini, grilled broccolini , rocca salad, mozarela sticks, chips .. the only thing we didnt like as muslims is the concept of the restaurant as a wine bar. Else is perfect and the staff are so friendly.

We went twice during our visit to North Berwick. We enjoyed the pizza so much the first time that we had it again the second time.

So dissapointed we travelled from Hull to spend time with family and we always go to Zittos . We came in December and it was that lovely we booked three nights in a row. Tonight not so good ..the recipe for the Pil Pil prawns has been changed and is not nice at all. Rissotto grey and shiny not creamy like it used to be They have reduced the portion sizes massively. Served on a very small plate and wacked the prices right up. No more Zittos for us im afraid.

Great place with friendly service and FRESH & DELICIOUS food. We loved the tapas selection which allows you to enjoy variety of dishes, like sort of tasting menu Definitely recommended!

Visiting north Berwick and looking for a good place to eat we came upon this little gem of a place !! The lovely waitress recommend the perfect amount of food for two people and want it came it was exactly what I was expecting!! Great food and service!! Anytime I’ll be visiting North Berwick I’ll be coming here !! I don’t think is anything else I need to add!! Great job guys !!!

Lovely food, staff and atmosphere. Nice out front seating area. We had pasta 'starters' for lunch which was a smaller portion of the main meals. Mussels and spaghetti was delicious. Friend said macaroni was amazing. Lunch plus 2 drinks each approx £50 . Highly recommend.

I had a meeting in North Berwick and had been recommended Zitto for dinner with our kids. Such a lovely place and a wonderful atmosphere. All the staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was served promptly, the kids also got a colouring in book and pencils they could use. Really nice menu and drinks selection. I'd highly recommend it for both couples, but also families. We had not been out for a nice dinner for a little while, so thank you to the team for making it such a lovely experience. Merry Christmas!

nice fancy place but don't pay there staff plus most of the staff are working cash in hand they have taken the batteries out the smoke alarms as they always go off down to the state of the equipment the grease trap only gets done once in a blue moon have heard this from a few staff members place needs shut down removing the batteries out the smoke alarms is dangerous and the state of the toilet was disgusting also most of the food is reheated in a microwave apart from the past dishes but meatballs and everything ealse is reheated seen this with me own eyes

We always enjoy your meals at Zittos. Hadn't been for a while so it was nice to re-visit and we were all full by the end! Staff helpful and we will be back hopefully soon

Nice little place. Fresh calamari and mussels were lovely, chorizo Mac and cheese really good. Arancini not the best I’ve had and the sauce could have been better. For the portions, I found the price expensive. Fully aware some things are tapas but still, a bit high.

Heard so many good things. But left knowing i wont be back there again.people served meal after others had finished. Way to expensive and very little option. Starter was good but cannot make up for the poor mains

Food was nothing special. Focaccia was served in the form of flat bread. The calamari was soggy. We waited a while for an order and a longer for someone to take a payment. I can not recommend this place.

Really nice midweek lunch, the pizza was very good a proper thin base tangy tomato sauce and good quality mozzarella with a mushroom topping, lovely fresh side salad, fair pricing, nice pleasant staff, well worth a visit.

For a family day out the cost was extortionate considering what we had ordered size of portions and drinks very disappointing really

Great Restuarant - Food and service were excellent. Garden area was lovely.

The staff were very welcoming and kind and had a nice vibe. The pizza and garlic bread were excellent. The spaghetti carbonara was alright, however the chicken in the risotto was a bit smelly and I didn’t enjoy that dish very much as a result. The price was also reasonable compared to how much we had purchased.

What a nice place.It has a lovely atmosphere and funky decor.The staff are very welcoming and friendly.The menu has lots of variety.My only quibble was it was pretty expensive,especially as a Calzone was over £20...and although tasty I wasn't blown away.Would recommended giving it a try if you haven't.
