ZEERA Indian Take Away in Wigan

Ordered at 5pm food didn’t turn up til 7pm. When food did arrive we found a few black hairs in the rice and masala sauce so decided to give it to the dog and even he didn’t eat it. DO NOT EAT HERE

Regular takeaway, never been let down! Delicious food! Always happy to order from here and will continue to. Try the Balti.

Sad to report that the standard is not good. We ordered 2 x Zeera special starters which were dry and almost inedible, not great portions but only 3 quid each, you get what you pay for i suppose. The mains were a chicken Korma which was like a sweet thick coconut soup but the lamb Bhuna was OK. The other sides such as Dhal, rice and popodums were good, not great or substantial portion sizes, so I'll not be visiting again. Sorry....

This was the first (and last) time we have had food from this Takeaway. First I will start with the positives, the two main courses were really quite good, very tasty and spiced as they should be. Sorry to say that is were the positives ended. The Naan bread was like leather, the Vegetable Pakora was soggy, the Onion Bhaji's were so small and tasteless I am not sure that they were Onion Bhaji's. Can't comment on the Popadoms as we ordered them and were charged (got the pickles) but no Popadoms. Did call (before we ate) was advised to go back to collect them. Good idea, the rest of the food would be cold. My best advise is to visit one of the other Indian Takeaways in Standish.

Has been a life saver in this virus. I have worked through this covid19 and treated myself on days off. You can rely on any dish to be done with quality.
