Yummy in Angus

Ordered takeaway 3 times over the last month and each time the food has been fantastic quality. Looking at the earlier reviews it didn’t seem great but I can assure you that as of right now the food is top quality stuff!

Personally I think this is the best in Montrose. From start to finish. Food is so tasty, not bland at all. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Delivery is quick. A very good place to eat.

Good food, best salt, and pepper chips ever

Munchy box, fried rice and prawn toast. 36 pound spent terribly. Lumpy sauce, chewy everything. Felt bad for them.

We had an order of over £100 and received a tiny bag of prawn crackers with literally 10 prawn crackers in it. My meal was chicken in a garlic chilli sauce, this was inedible as the chicken was all fat scrap bits of chicken NEVER had chicken like it. Worst Chinese meal I have ever eaten. The delivery driver also told me he was rounding the price up with no reason for doing this.

Well well well not what I expected from a pizza place . The sushi was over cocked and my wife's lamb korma was a joke I'll never go back to that steak house again

Very good food, quick to make. They only take cash but there is a point 100m away.

Beef curry and fried rice was really nice.

Got a take away to pick up from here. It was ready on time and had everything I ordered. Particularly good chicken balls, and the veggie chow mein was amazing. They are flexible with options, we asked for the shredded chicken but in Cantonese sauce and they happily did it for us. Highly recommended.

Disappointing take away tonight. We have been using Yummy for a few years but it has slowly gone downhill. Tonight was the last straw and the last time we shall be ordering from there. The shredded chilli beef actually had NO beef in it all, just batter. Deep fried, tasteless batter! The Yummy Special Hot Noodle was supposed to be “All wok tossed with our secret chilli sauce” but it had no sauce at all! Salt and pepper chips tasted like they were yesterday’s leftovers reheated. Not impressed and very disappointed after really enjoying food from here when we first discovered it.

Oh dear! I know that the cost of living crisis is hitting everyone but to put prices up by nearly 30% is ridiculous. The food seemed to be pretty bad too, we got barbecue ribs which were not barbecue sauce, tasted more like plum? Salt and pepper wings which were over cooked and far too crunchy. Chicken chow mein was tasteless and rubber chicken! Chips and curry sauce were ok. This used to be our go to Chinese meal, not anymore. Sorry but you've lost our business. Too expensive for what you get. Have a word with yourselves.

Wow and not in a good way! Went for food and was shocked at the menu prices! 3.70 for a egg fried rice (regular) and 7.90 for a chicken curry. This is Indian territory for prices! Truly shocking. Menu not even upto date they have a print out of new prices on a4 sheets on a perspex screen. Really would avoid! Food ok but definitely not worth the premium!

So very dissapointed 😞 When a take away is meant to be a treat and none of the 3 of us enjoyed our meals, it cost just over £40 for 3 of us 😭. The chips were honestly probably the worst I've ever had from a Chinese, they looked like the were re-heated from days ago! We all wish we had a McDonald's like the younger 2 kids, and would have saved about £25 too. On the upside the step daughter said the Prawn Crackers were nice! Service was good and pleasant, we took a menu, but sadly it went in the bin with the remains of what we didn't eat. Sorry, I am not one for leaving bad reviews, but for the price we paid, we expected amazing food, and to be quite honest I wouldn't feed the left overs to my dog. 😔

Really unprofessional, rude phone manner when calling to enquire as to why the website wasn't up and running, after being told it would be open at 6pm. Really dismissive and then she hung up on me. Won't be ordering from here again, unless they get better mannered staff. Disgusting way to treat customers.

Tried to order from here online. I live only next to Lidl, and they don't deliver to me. I would love to try the food here.

Good food, good portions, nice variety of dishes including some Mongolian and Japanese style dishes.

Fantastic food, always delivered piping hot. Had the wrong order delivered tonight however it was promptly fixed and quickly delivered. Very happy with their service 😊

Always enjoy a takeaway from Yummy. They only take cash, but there are cash machines nearby. I've honestly never had a bad meal. I really like the choices of different cuisine. Chinese, Japanese, Thai even Mongolian. There's no other takeaway with as much variety.

Alternative Christmas dinner from yummy last night. Great food still got loads left. Beats Turkey any day. Thanks to all the staff. Top tucker.

Fast efficient service & food worth waiting for

Ahhh my chips were battered and no chilli or onions in any of my salt and pepper dishes. I would not recommend salt and pepper dishes.

Visiting montrose from Glasgow got a chicken satay on skewers and must say it was amazing ,but it's the first time I've ever had a satay without peppers with pinnaple instead ? But was still enjoyable, definitely go again when back in montrose

Well thought to try yummy for a Chinese curry, well I won’t b bac as there was far too much onions and also I got a few hairs in my curry. So I will not b recommending them for any food..

Tasteless and gloopy food. I had a chow mein and a foo yung and both meals were not nice at all. The prices however are decent and the delivery service was on time polite and friendly.

Shredded chicken in honey and chilli sauce was amazing. Also customer service was top notch. The person at the desk was incredibly friendly and handled my order very well.

Possibly the best chinese I've ever had. Restaurant quality food. The salted pepper chips were a masterpiece and honey chilli chicken mouth watering. It was so good we had it 2 nights in a row. Will definitely visit again next time we are in montrose. Well done Yummy!
