Yum Yum Vietnamese kitchen in Warwick

The food here is very, very low quality. My noodles were just cheap spaghetti, a stock cube and the cheapest meat they could find. It aggrieves me when the food isn't even as good as a cheap packet noodle but they charge £12 for it and service. The only guarantee with this place is that you will be disappointed.

Stopped by for an evening meal, very authentic and inspiring dishes, a solid menu with Vietnamese vibes throughout. Starters - spring rolls & squid with prawn crackers. Spring rolls were very crispy and packed with flavour and plenty of meat and vegetables, real smooth balance of flavours with salty acidic dip. The squid was a little over done a touch on chewy side, batter wasn’t as crispy as would like but well seasoned and clean. Served on nice fried onions and pepper and chillie and together all worked nicely. I ordered the curri or curry chicken version with jasmine rice. Presentation was a nice touch but flavour did not hit as I was expecting. Quite a salty dish only first taste, after a mix it helped bring more flavours through, it was more of watery curry then thick, combined with jasmine rice the chicken and sauce was nice but individually I sadly did not enjoy this dish, flavours really lacked and for curry it just dint have multiple flavour notes it was just salt and chillie and no real depth or sweetness not a lot of balance throughout the dish sadly. I did get to try my partners wok fried pho beef noodle dish, very nice dish a lot flavour and plenty of succulent beef with depth of flavour. I think I made the wrong choice. Would like to return to try more of the menu when I have more time and give it an updated review. Overall would score it 7/10 on this visit.

Didn't know we had a Vietnamese restaurant in Warwick.. Young staff were very good and couldn't fault either of our meals. Crispy fried Sea Bass fillets were exceptional...and a generous serving compared to most pubs and restaurants when they have sea bass on the menu. Good value

It's okay but let down by a few things: - Seafood dish advertised as containing scallops had only 1 in the whole dish - lettuce served as part of the steak dish was brown and wilted - it's a little camped in there

really worse experience what i never tried in UK!! me and my friends came yesterday at 6:30pm which we have reserved the table, we were enjoying the dinner and nice chatting, however the waiter/ waitress keep coming to collect our dish even we have not finished and we stay here not enough an hour... and after 10mins when we still chatting and they put the receipt on our desk but we have not asked for checking the bill, they just keeping to do something to push we leave, but the main point is we were staying around an hour only, we are a bit angry that we have to stop chatting and leave immediately, super ridiculous!! To be honest, environment of this restaurant is good and comfortable, but the food is not good compare with traditional vietnam's restaurant in asia or even vietnam. The soup of Pho is not hot enough and why using lemon instead of lime which is not traditional.

Excellent, flavorful food, friendly atmosphere, and solid service.

Came here on a whim as myself and a mate had just finished a day at Warwickv castle and needed somewhere to eat. We turned up just before 6pm and requested a table for 2 people which they happily provided without hesistation. Upon quick glance at the menu we noticed they had a set menu both for meat and veggies. We opted for the veggie set menu (which being the same price at the meat one we expected great things). My mate ordered some coke and beer whilst I kept it simple with Tap water and a bottle of sparkling water. The set menu consisted of a starter course containing the highlights from their menu, summer rolls, fritters etc which came with some dips. All of which were demolished with ease, but I think that was more because we were hungry rather than it being amazing. It was good but nothing really stood out for me compared with similar food at other East Asian food as other restaurants I've been to. What I'm trying to say is that it didn't feel particularly Vietnamese? The mains consisted of a hotpot 'Pho' type dish (I didn't really look like or feel like Pho) some stir fried veggies and a veggie noodle dish with a very conservative portion of steamed rice. Given the amount of liquids in the food presented the rice definitely wasn't enough and we had to order more (which we were charged for of course). All the mains food was good but again nothing to shout on the streets about. Well flavoured, a good mix of veggies combined with tofu and noodles, couldn't complain that much. Like I said my main criticism was the portion of rice provided. It should be at least 1 bowl per person which I'm sure wouldn't cost them the earth to provide. What I will say is that the service was attentive and quick and we didn't have to worry about waiting. Food came out quick but that may have just been down to the fact that it was very quiet so not a great stress test of the service. We did really like that they provided mini-eggs at the end of the meal which is something that restaurants rarely do these days. Overall, I give this place a 7.5/10. Perhaps it was because this place is more focussed and honed in on their meat dishes but if you're vegetatarian don't expect miracles.

Saturday evening and very busy. Six of us. Agree with a previous reviewer the tables are very close and it was packed to the hilt and very noisy. Difficult to manoeuvre to the bathroom or to exit. The Food was delicious as it was the previous two occasions I've been. The service wasn't good as our drink order was mixed up twice and our mains were brought out itty bitty so some were waiting for the rest of there order and some were half way through before the others received theirs. Staff are very friendly, helpful and polite. They were very helpful to my dad who is in his eighties and infirm on his legs. Decorated beautifully.

Honestly the best meal out I’ve had in Warwick in a long time. This is a little gem that I think everyone should try. Having been Vietnam before I don’t think I’ve had anything in the uk quite as authentic. Cocktails are also something worth a try, normally a beer drinker I have to agree it would be nice have something on tap but can’t fault the guys

We've been here 4 or 5 times now and the food has always been delicious. Any of the Pho options are always a good call but other highlights have been the Sea Bass, the Soft Shell Crab, the Papaya Salad and the Vietnamese drip coffee. We'd recommend this restaurant to anyone

What a treat to have this wonderful restaurant open up around the corner from our house. We had the sharing meat starters and then two different Pho dishes (plain chicken for my daughter) and seafood peanut pho for myself. Everything was fantastic, and I especially liked the little beef and pork wrapped kebab dish on the starter selection and the prawns in the Pho were perfectly cooked and the broth was fantastic. The restaurant itself is themed really nicely, it felt warm and comfortable and all of the crockery is nicely branded and matching. We will certainly be back again, many times I'm sure. Thank you. Edit: this should have posted a year+ ago but was sat in draft. We've been about 5 times since and love it every time.

"Yum Yum" is a fantastic choice for Vietnamese cuisine. The diverse menu, featuring flavourful pho dishes ensures there's something for everyone. The service was outstanding too.

Exceptional , authentic food at a great price and very friendly staff.

Very friendly and accommodating staff make this restaurant a delight to visit. The food is sumptuous and very flavourful (my favourite being the beef shin stew with coconut rice). The sharing platter from the starter menu features a variety of flavours and textures, all simply delicious. Note that they cater for vegetarians throughout the menu with no fuss and plenty of smiles. Thank you Yum Yum!

Brilliant food, extremely attentive service.

We booked a table at 8 on Saturday and when we got there it was very busy. It's a small space inside and it did feel like there were too many people in there. Not just because all the diners and tables were tightly packed in but also because it was quite noisy. Especially with the drunken guests sat behind us occasionally elbowing my friend in her side whilst waving their arms around... The food though was nice and very reasonably priced for what you get. We ordered the tofu starter to share which I felt could have been fried a bit longer as it wasn't the golden colour you might expect or crispy but the onions and chilli made it tasty. I went for the chicken wok noodles for a main and felt I would have liked my chicken cooked a little longer but I think that's personal preference. I also felt the flavours could have been enhanced a little. The wine list is extensive and is all very reasonable - tastes great too! It'd be nice to see them have some beer/lager on tap. I'd come again but would order differently and hope that the place is a little less packed to the brim next time!

Really great food, fantastic selection of gluten free options, very nice staff who work there. The legends spring roles were incredible, followed an even better Beef Pho! Will be going back for sure! Would just add some ciders to the menu, and turn the heating up a small amount and it would be perfect.

Great and authentic Vietnamese food! We’ve had few different traditional Phos and the soup base is wonderful. The snack platters and the deep fried soft shell crab are also very delicious. Highly recommended!

the best ever!!! i couldn’t recommend this more. with an extremely unique and well written menu, we spent ages trying to decide what to eat. the food is GORGEOUS and so reasonably priced, i’ll definitely be back one day. i highly recommend the vietnamese coffee! what a great new experience, with a gorgeous nutty taste. and the deserts out of this world. staff are super super friendly and it’s in such a convenient beautiful location. the decorations inside is stunning too. couldn’t keep my eyes off the wall art

Excellent Vietnamese. I've been to the ones around Coventry, Warwick and Leamington and this is the best one! Their Pho wasn't too salty as is often the case and their salt and pepper tofu was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The waiter was great and the restaurant looks great. Shame they had dance music on but this didn't detract from a great experience. Thoroughly recommend!

Sorry if you want to survive then you better up your service skills. Don't add service charge by default. Double check the order. My wife sat there for about 20 mins before we realised we want getting her dish. Don't stair or stand awkwardly watching us eat. Don't make a load of noise with cutlery. If we want to move table then don't make the excuse that other tables are booked when clearly they were not. We won't be back but good luck.

We finally decided to go here for supper. Being huge fans of Vietnamese food we are glad we did. Everything was so flavourful and service was friendly. For a Monday night, the place was packed! The staff were run off their feet but service was fine. The decor is really nice and it has a lovely atmosphere. My honey chicken was outstanding and my starter of Cha La Lot was superb. We will definitely be back and highly recommend you visit too!

Absolutely exceptional food! My husband and I spent 3 weeks traveling through Vietnam and the food at Yum Yum tastes exactly like what we ate while in Vietnam. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is very busy so I'd suggest making a reservation. Both my husband and I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back again!

KICKED OUT: Place looked busy, walked up and there was 3-4 tables empty and they sat us. Gave us menus, then 5 minutes later a different lady came up and told us they were booked. They went and checked with manager and then came back and asked us to leave. This is up there with the most ridiculous restaurant experience I ever had.

I love Vietnamese food, and I was very excited to see this place opening in Warwick. I tried it a couple of times since and it didn't disappoint, amazing flavours.

Portion was smaller than expected. Broth soup not rich enough. Papaya salad not enough sauce and peanut crunch. Will not come back again. Staff are friendly

Meal was nice to be fair, ambience less so and whilst the service was acceptable nothing great. I don’t feel that you should put an enforced service charge on a table for 3 and hence I was surprised when that’s what arrived on the bill. I’m afraid overall I won’t be visiting again any day soon.

Delicious food and amazing customer service. It was great to enjoy starters and mains served with an abundance of vegetables and greens. I recommend trying Vietnamese tea and coffee – unique taste compared to your daily hot beverage. Thank you for a great culinary experience. I recommend St Nicholas Car Park, which is only a 3min walk from the restaurant (you can take a shortcut by the church).

Amazing, authentic Vietnamese food. My partner has the spicy Bo bun hue noodles, and I had the honey chicken.. the passionfruit sauce was delicious, chicken was cooked to perfection. Lovely restaurant and friendly service, can't wait to go back.

Delicious meal. I had no idea if I would like Vietnamese food....but everything we had was delicious. Sorry I forgot to take any photos. Nice relaxed atmosphere. The staff worked very hard to keep the whole restaurant happy and good not to feel rushed...the table was ours for the evening. It was full on a Thursday so would recommend always booking so not to be disappointed. Definitely will return.
