Yum Yum Grill & Shawarma in Birmingham

Awful service, the shop was virtually empty and they got the first order wrong, the second time it took them twenty mins for a single box of shawarma and fries. Couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery if they tried.

I got sahn Arabic chicken fries and drink I suppose to be nice test when I got was like beef fat smell from the shawarma.Actually was very bad smell of fat if anyone order chicken should be same test what u suppose to.

Fast service and food is nice and lovely

Ordered lamb shawarma with fries. The food was ordered as take away. I paid approx £6/£7 (sorry cant recall exact amount). The food was ok, nothing to shout about, and nothing particularly special. It did not leave me wanting more, or indeed look forward to a repeat visit. The fries tasted old, as though they were made earlier that day (hour or two), and the lamb was dry, even with the added sauce, it was evident the lamb had been over done and left on the grill too long. The salad was, sad. few large pieces of onion (without any dressing), one piece of cucumber, and the rest was mix of cabbage and lettuce. There was a slice on lemon for dressing, but this has no body and lacked any juice. The food was edible, and was not bad tasting. With so many options locally, YumYum needs to up their game and provide food that leaves you wanting more. This did not hit the mark. I was glad my wife and I managed to finish the food so zero wastage, but I doubt I will be returning to YumYum any time soon, if at all. My advice, try any of the other local eateries, or eat a home cooked meal, or sandwich from Morissons.

Best Shawarma in Brum and excellent customer service. Cannot fault this little gem... if you are ever in Small Heath make sure you give this place a try! 10/10

No taste yesterday I visit there and I buy a large shawarma rap it was really smelly I don't know which kind smell was this but no taste the chicken and lamb was really dry I just waste my money

Ive receive the confirmation that the food will be delivered by 6.20pm. The food arrive 7.10pm. We were goimg.to open our fast with the food. We wont be ordering from this place again

The grilled chicken tikka and chicken kebab were both delicious—tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The staff was polite and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommended!

I ordered 6 sandwiches and when we are back home, we opened the bags , it is 5…and they put fake number: Messy, unorganized and above all no customer service they put fake phone number

Came here with my partner food was tasteless fries felt like I was eating cardboard very cheap quality. I couldn’t even eat this food lacked any type of flavouring, very disappointing. Service was appalling asked for salad to be put separate and was greeted with hostility never will go again!!!

When it comes shawarma they’re on job. Bread is freshly made. The chicken and lamb is decent quality and tastes delicious. Seating area is appropriate and staff are very friendly. The price is very fair too.

I came here over the weekend I must say I was very disappointed the food was terrible my other half also didn't enjoy his food it had a strange taste and no flavour extremely bland ( surprisingly) I had a lamb wrap and my partner had the chicken. Won't ever come back here again

Many delivery drivers cannot find my home as it's in a Grove. He was able to find it very quickly and delivered my food very fast.

Food was brilliant and prices are decent only thing the pictures on the menu are slightly different to what you get.

Lamb shawarma is not good low quality, fries are of the cheapest quality taste like cardboard, service is very poor like they don't understand english, made the order at till but didn't bring the food requested, portions are very small.

Delivery on time but the food… it was missing and didn’t match description. So we had ordered rice and got fries. Also the wrong drink was provided. Furthermore, in the container we were supposed to receive a naan but this was missing. The food was cold too.

10/10 food. Great portions and absolutely delicious

Our meals were over cooked and extreamly dry out, making it a waste of time waiting today which is disappointing today.

Went for a chicken shawarma wrap , took 30 mins if you want fast food don’t come here , plus the general hygiene of the shop was appalling , servers using used ripped gloves , saw one guy drop tea/coffee/hot liquid substance onto food and laughed about , next time I’ll go without respectfully

Think of a place with delicious food, impeccable cleanliness, and portions worth every penny. This is it! The dishes aren’t over-seasoned - it is rare in Birmingham, and if you request no pepper, they prepare it precisely as you asked. I had the lamb with salad, and it was perfect.

Absolutely loved the shawarma here! The meat was perfectly seasoned, the vegetables were fresh, and the garlic sauce was out of this world. The portion size was generous, and the staff was super friendly. Highly recommend this place to anyone craving an authentic shawarma experience.

I previously rated this 5 stars but last few months theyve changed owners and it has well and truly gone down the pan. The food is terrible and not fresh, the service is shocking and the cleanliness is non existent. Not going back till things improve or the old owners come back.

Ordered chicken shawarma wraps , they were good , but they put too much garlic inside. It was proper full with chicke which is very good and nice, but the one thing that let it off is the fries, the fries were soggy and you get a very small portion of fries But overall the shawarma wraps are very nice and good

Outstanding service and food is amezing

The experience at this restaurant was disappointing from start to finish. The customer service was selective and unfriendly, making me feel unwelcome. The waiter was curt and lacked basic manners, while the chef seemed disinterested in preparing a quality meal. The food itself was far from appetising, with bland flavours and poor presentation. It was clear that little care had gone into the cooking, leaving me dissatisfied with every course. To make matters worse, the meal was significantly overpriced for what we received. Overall, it was a poor dining experience that I would not recommend. the environment was not clean , and the toilet as well.

I recently visited YUM YUM shawarma, and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. The customer service was disappointing, with staff who seemed indifferent and inattentive. As for the food, it was below par. The dishes lacked flavour, and some were served lukewarm, which only added to the overall dissatisfaction. The presentation was sloppy, and the portions were small for the price. It was clear that there was little attention to detail in both the preparation and the service .With poor customer service and substandard food, I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent dining experience. The toilet was dirty.

Hunger is unhelpful. It has nothing to do with shawarma. Unfortunately, this is a general characteristic in all restaurants, not just him. It’s good that we came out with a cup of tea.

Was excited to finally try some authentic shawarma after the previous shop had closed not long after it opened. Upon entering there seemed to be quite a few orders which led to my order taking around 10 -15 mins wait. When opening the food at home it tasted fairly average pretty bland. To top it off I nearly chewed and swallowed on cartilage and a small bone . Plenty of improvement needed to make shawarma I guess.

Ordered a Lamb shawarma sandwich meal, kebab wrap and a adana kebab with some fries. Kebab wrap and adana kebab was alright taste wise. The lamb shawarma though didn't really do it for me Personally I think shawarma wala a couple of doors away has got the tastiest lamb shawarma in Birmingham. Like I always say everyones taste buds differ and opinions are different and this is just my honest opinion....

Visited here today, & had a mixed shawarma, small fries & a can of Tango. It was a meal deal & cost only £6!!! Really good food & fantastic price.

The shawarma here is amazing and to be honest better than all of the shawarmas on Coventry Road. The main person on the till is friendly and welcoming as well.

Very bad experience eating their mix shawarma with rice first rice bog standard white rice nothing special shawarma too bloody dry and salty gave bread bang on top my plate knife and fork all dumped on plate guy gave wooden bowl for the bread have get up get some chilli sauce bread had very bad burnt smell to it due to guy sticking next to shawarma machine only good salad which was fresh must be missing something wasn't great experience portions was okay size compared what I paid definitely not coming back small heath local anything special to them eating area okay give table a clean yum yum bloody wasn't the worse shawarma I had

As soon as I entered, I was greeted by the staff and was recommended the mixed shawarma which I had with chips and a drink, a bargain at £6 . The chicken and lamb tasted amazing, was soft and full of flavour, and came with salad and sauce. Was very clean, and the atmosphere was great, and I will definitely be visiting again when I am in the area

First visit, and we had chicken shwarama wraps. They made them very nice the naan wrap and the chicken was very tasty. They served it very hot, and you can also select your own salad and sauces. The seating and deco are nice approx 5 tables with 4 chairs in the place. Its more for takeout they have 2 tables outside the shop.overall nice and I would visit again.
