The service is terrible. The restaurant staff were too busy worrying about the take away orders to do anything for us. We helped ourselves to napkins and plates. The belt had no plates on it as we arrived which did improve and the kitchen staff did their best to respond to our request ! Expensive too.

The food here is amazing! seriously! However, the service here is unfortunately subpar. I don’t like leaving bad reviews cause i feel like it’s giving karen energy - and i know that sometimes it’s just not your day, that’s ok! BUT!!! having worked in the food industry, and as a server it just makes me cringe when a waiter is rude 😬 I’ve been to this Yo sushi about 4/5 times and unfortunately the service has been bad every time eeeeek. One time i was with my mum and the waiter was so rude to her it really made me cringe. Rolling his eyes at her for asking for a physical menu, slamming plates down etc. I went with my boyfriend yesterday, they sat us on the bar area (which i don’t mind!) but we were sat infront of the wash area .. but it seems like that’s the place the chefs use to get their frustration out. we’d be having a conversation and then SMASH!!! a chef chucks their pan in the sink… right in front of us. As we get ready to leave because there wasn’t any waiters around - like at all - we go to the till at the front. One of the waiters stomp over to us and passive aggressively says ‘ next time if you don’t mind sitting down and getting our attention instead of coming to the front’ …. there wasn’t any staff around (??( all i got from the chefs were glares and eyerolls. Like guys the food is amazing and good each time. but the service is just really bad and it makes it really awkward.

We’ve been regular customers of Yo! for several years and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. This particular branch is smaller than others we’ve been to, but it was really clean and inviting. The chefs behind the counter were really friendly and helpful, although the gentleman who was serving us was a little over the top and made some comments we weren’t particularly happy about regarding our home town. The food is still lovely, albeit a little more expensive than our previous visit.

Took a while to to register my account and get registered on the WiFi but once I did it’ was so easy!!! You just order what you want from your phone and pay as you go! Yo Sushi have done at great job reorganising with the new restrictions! Because of COVID there aren’t any dishes going round for you to chose but everything you order stops at your table Food arrived quickly and all the staff at Harrogate branch are super friendly and helpful as ever

We have been looking forward to coming back to Yo Sushi in Harrogate since lockdown and of course we were not disappointed. Food was great tasting, looked amazing and useingthe app to order direct to the table was so easy even for my kids to use. The service we received from all the staff was as always was excellent, especially Andrew, nothing was too much trouble, he was helpful, welcoming and we couldn't ask for anything more. May I also say that his matching boots and belt....stylish and sassy. This is what a service should be! We will be coming back soon guys

The very camp chap was extremely rude on arrival and continued to be a patronising prat for the duration of the meal. Tried ordering from the app but due to technical problems had to order in person which he seemingly got stroppy about. Then had to return a dish twice as far to salty finally just asking for a refund. not as nice as trinity in Leeds !

I usually love Yo Sushi having visited many around the country but this was the worst one by far. We had two waiters, one very polite lady and one gentleman who acted like you were an inconvenience to him. Due to Covid we ordered food via the app which came quickly however we ordered a couple of the same dishes and they tasted completed different depending on who had made it. One beef teriyaki was almost completely dry and the other was lathered in sauce. On a plus note the Korean chicken was lovely. Overall, something feels really off about the atmosphere in this restaurant, even my partner mentioned the same without any prompting. Hopefully it doesn’t stay that way.

We were pleased to see that Yo Sushi had finally reopened in Harrogate. It was a little different that usual as the conveyor belt is not in operation and the food was ordered via an App and brought to the table when it was ready. The food was still great and there was a reduced but good choice of items to select. At the time of our visit the restaurant had only been open a few days but the staff were making a good job of getting to grips with the changes and it all felt safe with the Covid arrangements. Hopefully we won't be in lock down again for too long and we will be able to visit again soon.

A rarity in this neck of the woods, this Japanese Sushi-themed restaurant has a "Belt-service" style with many other choices served by the friendly, efficient staff.A tasty and quick chef service provides freshly-made traditional Japanese dishes in front of your very eyes - part of the entertainment of course!I had less than an hour between buses but ate a satisfying fresh Nigiri variety selection with a Japanese beer at little more than a tenner. Highly recommended!

We had just arrived in Harrogate after a long car journey, saw the yo sushi and needed an early dinner for the 6 year old.Just like the Cambridge branch, this yo sushi did not disappoint. We usually love Yo sushi. But this time at 3pm Saturday, lots wrong: very little on carrousel to choose from, pop corn shrimp was sent back as it was soggy not 'popcorn', 2 other dishes too sweet , our poor choice so choose carefully, and I hate table announcements when you press the buzzer for help. Totally unnecessary. Poor staff.

I went to this restaurant for the first time to eat last night and the service was fantastic!! Staff were more than happy to help with my questions (as I don't normally eat sushi), and gave great advice for what to try. I was happy to see a chain restaurant supporting the November cause ( clearly displayed when you sit down) and I was more than happy to support the cause on my bill. Good job everyone!!!

I arrived on a Sunday evening to find myself the only person there. Despite this not one of five or six people working acknowledged I was there. I understand the chefs do not seat people but to at least show any warmth and let me know a hostess will be with me. I started to think prehaps they were closed and asked but was ignored. The waitress clocked me a couple of times before she deigned to see to me. When it's quiet you get all those little jobs done so she may have been in the middle of something so a quick acknowledgement would be all I needed. Did not feel welcome will not return.

Visited at lunchtime during half term week. We love Yo Sushi food and it was great, hot and fresh as always. However this visit the service was terrible. There were 2 members of staff serving for the whole restaurant. Families were waiting in the doorway for 20 minutes even though tables were empty, but they had just not been cleared. I watched one mother with 2 children literally lose the will to live as she'd stood there for so long. I was tempted to grab a cloth and clean the table myself!!! One member of staff was the manager (I presume) as they were in their own clothes and one was in Yo Sushi uniform. The server was brusque and fairly unfriendly taking our order. On finishing our meal we pressed our buzzer three times, waiting 5 minutes inbetween each time. Still no-one came. In the end we had to get up with our money to go and find her to pay the bill. By this point the queue of customers was out of the door. They were clearly completely understaffed, but even so, their attitude and efficiency was definitely lacking. Real shame as it lets down the Yo Sushi brand. Half term week is always going to be busy. Either staff the restaurant properly or if just a handful of staff are on duty they need to be prepared to muck-in, apologise where necessary and speed up the service.

Tonight we visited a very busy yo sushi in Harrogate. Despite being busy the food was first class. Tasty and plentiful. Our 2 girls were on “kids eat free”. Happy dad!Head chef Karol then invited the girls to roll their own cucumber maki. Delighted girls! Always knew there was a reason why we keep coming back!

First, let me preface this by saying I've usually had decent service and experience her at this location. This though, was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in this area. We ordered several items all at once. We got a few items from the conveyer while waiting for our food. It was about 10 mins before we received our first item; dumplings. Effectively we were given one item of order every 10 min, still not getting the beef. I asked the night-time manager, Max was his name, where our order may be and why was it taking so long with none of the kitchen staff cooking. It took him another 10 min to finally get back to me. When he went away, he did nothing to take care of my order. Approximately 10 min later a cook brought over another order teriyaki beef. The manager NEVER asked if we wanted a fresh batch nor did he advise about getting the first order to us. I explained to him why his customer service was so poor, and asked again why he never took the customers’ requests, and service in mind when taking care of my order. The only excuse he had was that there was an issue with the ordering system and my order was neglected. He also said it was busy, but I watched as it only took 5 min to cook the food after he finally went to the cooks to get the order accomplished. The absolutely poor service, and the lack of the manager to efficiently resolve this issue has ensured that I will not patronize this establishment again

Went tumour usual Yo Sushi on Friday in Harrogate. Unfriendly welcome by lady on front desk. We eat out regularly never had a worse reception. Said you sit at the bar or no table. No smile, unfriendly, squashed us up next to other people however plenty of room round the place. General attitude towards us was poor all way through! I've run restaurants and would never have a staff member behave so rude towards customers. Wont be hurrying back! Food was ok but some just on conveyor belt looked like been there all day! Not fresh! In general worst Yo Sushi experience ever and eaten at these up and down the country!

D'abord le restaurant est etonnant de par ses petites specificités (appel serveur, tapis roulant et bien d'autres qui faut laisser rester une surprise). Les sushis, sashimis, makis et autres specialités japonaises sont bonnes, copieuses, et a un prix tout a fait raisonnable, mais je retiens surtout l'accueil de l'equipe. I recently visited Yo Sushi in Harrogate for my nieces 13th Birthday, and I am so grateful for the wonderful customer service we received from Darren. He had organised for my niece and nephew to have a master class with chef Karol who was great with the kids, they absolutely loved it. And our waitress was really friendly too! Overall it was a lovely evening and we are extremely grateful. I would also like to add that I LOVE the new vegan options, I look forward to my next visit!

We always enjoy this place but can get expensive if your not careful as you select the plates you want from a moving conveyor. Plates come in different colours with different prices. You can also order hot food from a menu. Lots of choice with food and drink

I've been coming here for years and always adored it. However, we've noticed that the quality of the food is dive-bombing. The whole point of sushi is that it is supposed to be uniform in size, with little morsels made with exquisite care. More and more we're noticing what is going around the conveyor belt has been prepared with no care at all. Salmon just flung on top of nigiri, half falling off or overlapping the other one making it impossible to seperate. Maki all different sizes and sometimes split with rice pouring out the sides. The tataki seems to be different every time. I'll continue to visit as I still like the concept, but it's sad to see a restaurant I have rated as 5* in the past drop the ball so badly. We also visit the York one and have seen no drop in quality there. I did mention this to a waiter one day, but he seemed non-plussed about my comment. Area management want to be having a careful look at what is going on here... this unit is letting your brand down I'm afraid. Even the staff seem grumpy and demoralised now - and they used to be superb.

I hadn’t been before but really fancied some Japanese cuisine. I wanted a ramen so just ordered the small, it was delicious and freshly made - good value for less than £5. My boyfriend pointed out the lunch meal deal on the the wall, very clearly in front of the waitress. She didn’t correct him that it was only for take out so when we got the bill it was higher than expected. We ordered the karage too which was delicious but I feel a bit on the small side for the cost. The drink was outrageously priced so it was very annoying as we wouldn’t have ordered it if we had known it wasn’t in the deal. I also massively object to having to pay for tap water - these small things are the sort of stuff that stop me going back somewhere again. Our bill for two small meals, small side and a tiny drink came to over £16. Not a lot of money but I didn’t consider it value for money really.

Well had a lovely surprise when my 2 youngest said they were taking me to Yo! Sushi - Despite a general rule not allowing booking tables they allowed this as a 1 off as I am not particularly mobile! The only thing that I have against the place is that (and this is entirely my fault!) the seating is generally fixed and there is not a lot of room between seat backs and the table. OK I'll admit I tend towards the plump. That and the fact they are benches mean that "inside" people wanting to go eg to the loo are rather unwelcome! The unlimited on tap water - still and sparkling - is rather expensive as are the other beverages. However, the very fast friendly and efficient service and especially the food more than makes up for these disappointments. Have been several times now - not just this branch - and it will not be long before I return. P.S. Oh sorry I was forgetting - the one major fault with the meal was that somehow I still ended up having to pay…

Yo! Sushi sent us a code for 30% off food as a birthday present. Was going to go anyway for lunch but it made the trip that much nicer! Even better since going last time they had provided (an albeit very restricted number of) tables with chairs instead of just bench seats secured to the floor with a limited gap to the table: unpleasant for those of us with moving issues (oh, ok; plumpist issues as well!). Food delicious as before. Service quick efficient and very pleasant again as before. Takeaway platters available at a very reasonable price. Pity the drinks aren't a good bit cheaper!

Between us we had vegetable gyozas, signature salmon roll, beef teriyaki, chahan vegetable rice, espresso mochi and malted chocolate pot. All the freshly prepared food was hot and very good. The staff were the right level of attentive, mainly leaving us alone to chat. Excellent!

The food is tasty and hits the spot for a quick bite to eat. But please train or replace the staff to put some smiles on faces. What should be a fun place to eat lets itself down by its miserable front of house staff. Its our second visit and this time we were greeted with a distainful finger wag as we directed ourselves to an empty table. This turned out to be because it had not yet been cleaned but set a tone that sadly is all too often experienced by diners at these chain eateries. Please cheer up and offer a more relaxed, friendly, human service

My family and I came here for my birthday, we shared the fried squid, salmon pancake and a ramen soup. They all tasted great and my young son loved the udon noodles. The real winner though was the Furikake fries which were amazing - I would always recommend these! The Takoyaki (fried octopus balls) were a little disappointing, not much octopus flavour and a bit doughy. Apart from that though I thought it was a great place to go for lunch.

Not all are put on the belt so you may have to put in your order still for some beef dishes, for example, and for teka maki and the likes. Definitely will come back for a cheap and quick bite.

We were blown over with the tantalisingly tasty tapas we relished on bank holiday Sunday. The freshness of the food was to be highly applauded and the team was top class and genuinely committed to delivering a great service and experience. The highlight was the popcorn shrimp which was exquisite. We'd also highly recommend the soft shell crab and prawn Katsu curry! Enjoy!

Last year my Eldest son persuaded me to have my first ever Indian Restaurant meal and I did not know why I had waited so long (50++ years!) . My daughter persuaded me to visit a Sushi Bar - I loved this even more than my new interest in Indian Food! Beautiful food, very well presented. Very reasonably priced - friendly and very efficient Staff. It will not be long before I go back. Only slight down side is that I am a tad less than svelte and the booths have fixed benches and tables and the gap to sit in is a bit narrow - especially if you are less than fully mobile. It would be a shame if you avoided them but there are choices not based on fish or shellfish. Have a look at the on line menu.

We have eaten here twice recently for birthdays using their 1/3rd off for birthdays voucher which you can find on line via registration on their website. Just as well as it gets very expensive. Having said that, service is very good and so is the food. The wine selection is good and the Pino Grigio is fruity and goes down well. Will be back soon.

Excellent variety of very tasty food!!! Not as keen on the decor and layout as the one in York. The service was really poor. The girl was on her phone and eating at the back and when the buzzer went off she put it down and was then helpful. She was saying how she couldn't wait to finish her shift. Massive shame as it was really off putting.

Haven't visited a Yo Sushi in years, having overdone them in the past. Well, more fool me. This place was clean and friendly and the menu has obviously changed with time. Everything we ordered was spot on, just delicious and so fresh. It was far superior to the supposed 'high end' dining the evening before yet so purse friendly. It was also good to see young children in there trying new flavours, whilst been fascinated by the food being cooked and the conveyor belt. A great place to take your kids and banish potential fussy eating.

Mondays at Yo Sushi is a Blue Plate special of £2.80 for dozens of items. The Sushi Chef delighted our table's newbie by quickly providing cooked chicken and spicy calamari. Overly oily noodles were not a hit, however. Maki nigiri was truly wonderful! Tako and was less than fresh. The service was bright-eyed and bushy tailed. Beware the water dispenser at your table, which has a hidden charge of £1.30 pp - unlike other Harrogate restaurants who provide it for free.

I've been to this yo sushi a few times now and it's not very consistent. A few weeks ago it was lovely, good portion sizes and everything looked fresh. I went today and there was hardly anything going round the belt even though it was prime eating time. Portions were small and looked like it had been there all day. The staff also look like they don't want to be there.

First time going to yo sushi and the staff were lovely and really helpful and every where looked clean , went on an evening it was very busy and just got a table , the young blonde girl was so helpful and really explained everything ,we had a nice beer and tried quite a few meals vegetarian also , the little ltd edition fries were lovely as was the chicken curry and the teriyaki chicken ,the seaweed meals didn't float my boat I'm afraid ,the service was really quick ,atmosphere was good food really fresh just not my thing , but it was packed so it is me not the place !!

Not used to the system of serving and choosing food, basically by colour which indicates the price it was a very interesting experience. There was a bit of confusion amongst the staff on some of the ordering process for hot food but the main ‘comment’ is do not sit by the front door in cold weather, it spoils things. Will go back and give it another go.

It may just be because it's new and the staff are inexperienced, but the food on our visit was very disappointing. The normally melt in the mouth tuna was chewy and the katsu curry was luke warm, even after we had asked to have it warmed up. We go to the Leeds Trinity branch lots and have always had great food.

We picked this restaurant as it was a short walk from the Turkish Baths & the food was amazing. We had one of the sushi sets, the cake board & tofu for starter - everything was really tasty & nicely presented!
