Called in yesterday and found that it had changed hands but still had wonderful service. The young lady serving behind the counter was friendly and I was served quickly even though they were busy Had a coffee and cupcake which was delicious and while there booked a birthday party for my youngest daughter as I found they do a craft themed party which sounds a great idea and good value for money

They couldn't have been expecting it- the arrival of the Flying Scotsman with 400 passengers, many of whom descended on this cafe. The staff worked really hard to get people served, and though time moved on and we ended up with our meals done as takeaways we appreciated their efforts. I hope this cafe is a success as it certainly deserves to be.

Took a chance, allowed dogs in, so far so good. Young waitress, no training and certainly no customer service skills. Wrong attitude and rude, maybe because she had more than three customers. Go and find a job more suited to your personality, certainly shouldn’t be working in the hospitality industry.

Visiting Holyhead and this looked like a great place to have some drinks. We looked at the menu and decided to order drinks and toasted tea cakes. This was actually listed as a meal deal at a price of £3.50. The drinks arrived in a reasonable time but the tea cakes took a little while to arrive. I had black coffee which for me was a bit weak and my wife had a latte. The tea cakes were good. When we paid we were charged £1.75 for each item making a total of £7.00 or £3.50 for the meal deal x2. Interesting that the prices for the items on the menu was £1.75 for the drinks and £1.50 for the toasted tea cakes. I didn’t bother to question this as life is too short. This is not good practice though to charge extra for the meal deal. You can see the prices for yourself.

Visited here for a late lunch with my mum and dad and my 2 kids. The whole visit was shocking. To be fair they all said they were new staff and the owner (?) had broken her leg and they didn't seem confident in what they were doing. It was a struggle just to order our food but 4 of us went for the sandwich/soup combo and my little lad got a jacket potato. The soups came out first, one by one as they were obviously being cooked in the microwave. The soup was cold and out of a tin.....they even admitted it was from a tin!! It was revolting. The sandwich was dreadful, a teaspoon of tuna on it and just on normal store bought cheap bread. We had all finished our dinner by the time the jacket potato finally came out to the bemusement of my 5 year old who was getting very hungry at this point. They have no idea how to make a latte??!! I sent it back twice and then told them to leave it and gave up. We told them that it just wasn't good at all (politely) and that the soup was cold, to be told that they where cooked to 70degrees.........yeah pretty sure it should be warmer than that! But why argue with the customer when it was evident it was awful?! The last kick in the nuts was when they gave us the bill and massively over charged us! They had billed the soup and sandwiches separately rather than as a deal as per their menu and left on my latte on the bill too! I gave them £20 and told them they were lucky to get that - they didn't argue! Disaster.....owners fault as they need to train their staff! I actually felt sorry for them in the end.

Just celebrated our daughter's 5th birthday party here today. Wow, what a brilliant alternative to the usual birthday party. We were given a choice of theme before we booked and chose Unicorns. Included in the package was 3 cupcakes the children were shown to decorate each, a beautiful themed lunch, two party games with prizes and birthday cake. The children were then able to take their cupcakes home. The staff were amazing and very attentive to the children. Nothing was too much trouble and the shop itself was clean and tidy. The food was yummy and the cakes delicious. Most importantly was that our daughter and her friends had fun. Thank you to everyone at Ynys Mon Cakery for a great afternoon!

We popped in for lunch, had a meal deal sandwich which came with a cake and a coffee. Tuna sandwich was delicious and fresh, came with a lovely side salad garnish too. I Choose the red velvet cupcake! This was the most delicious cupcake I've ever had! Topped off with a latte. All for £5! My friend had a scone with jam and butter, just been baked freshly out the oven, so it was still warm :-) she ended up buying a further 4 to take home! She also had a hot choc with cream and marshmallows. Got the kids a cake each as they had already eaten, kids also got free juice with their cake Staff are lovely and very welcoming. Can't believe I live 3 miles away and I've only just found this little gem. We will definitely be back!

We were pottering in Holyhead town centre, and this place looked attractive as a spot to have a snack and a hot drink. The cafe itself did indeed prove to be attractive, but the service was shambolic, the toilets dreadful, and the snacks so-so at best. When we sat down, there were only two other tables occupied - a total of three customers - and all were already eating. Our order, for one tea, one coffee, a scone and a toasted tea cake, was taken promptly enough: but that proved to be the high point of the visit. The coffee arrived first. There was then a lengthy time - six or seven minutes - before the tea also came. The coffee had of necessity been half consumed by then. No milk for the tea - we requested some, and it was then brought, after the snacks. There was no sugar on the table when we arrived, we weren't offered any, there was none when we left - the empty sugar-dish was there throughout. The teapot was only half-full, and provided barely a single cup. The toasted tea cake was OK but the scone was the smallest we have ever seen, and on the stale side. A table of five, who arrived after us, had received none of their food twenty-five minutes after ordering: and the waitress had needed to return to their table to check that she had noted the sandwich orders correctly, as she was unsure. This was some ten minutes after they placed their order - heaven only knows how long it took their food to arrive, we had left by then. A couple who sat outside were totally ignored. The toilets are down an extremely grubby flight of stairs, where the carpet is in desperate need of cleaning. The men's toilet was marked as out of order, with no suggested alternative. The ladies was poorly lit (just one bulb in a fitting that takes three bulbs), and the hot air dryer didn't work. It seemed to us that the two staff, who were pleasant enough, were totally out of their depth, with neither the skills nor the speed to service what was, after all, not a huge crowd of people. The cupcakes and celebration cakes may be lovely - but the cafe operation is frankly rubbish.

I bought a birthday cake from Ynys Mon Cakery for my husbands 60th birthday party....he likes fishing and motorbikes and the ladies came up with a brilliant design that covered both these interests together with a little figurine that bore an uncanny resemblance to my husband. The ladies were really really helpful, and came up with a great bespoke cake that really was very good value for money....the cake was the star of the show at my husband's party with everyone taking photos of it.....

I found this wonderful little cake shop by recommendation when looking for vegan cupcakes for an upcoming wedding. The owners were incredibly helpful and baked samples the following week - I'm not vegan but they were the best cupcakes I have ever tasted! Since then they have produced several bespoke birthday cakes for me and a wonderful array of Valentines Day cup cakes, on every occasion they have exceeded expectations. I have only eaten in the cafe on one occasion but the service was warm and friendly and the sandwiches freshly made and hearty. Value for money was excelent and I strongly recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed.

This was an added cruise port on a Sunday and pretty much everything was closed. We stumbled upon The Gleesons Public House and had a few pints and sang some karaoke. The staff was friendly and the beer was cold. They made the day!
