The XL box was tasty and staff were polite. My 1st Chinese takeaway in 3 years

Swift and tasty. Small box can feed two adults. Limited selection but well prepared. Quite enjoyed it.

No food received after two-three hours of order.

This was my first time visiting Yangtze: I had a Summer Scran Fest voucher that got me 20% off a meal deal. The pic I’ve shared shows my choices: half noodles, half chips, sweet and sour chicken as well as Chinese chicken curry. I got a drink and spring rolls as part of the meal deal. A very filling lunch!

Cold food, awful taste DO NOT ORDER!!!!

If you want to grab a quick Chinese take away, that will be it. The staff are nice and professional and the foods are warm and delightful. The long queue is suggesting that the restaurant is popular. Recommended to give it a go.

Staffs are nice, affordable prices

Everywhere is expensive now and staff are under pressure to do more work with less manpower so considering all that the staff here do a great job with what little they have and despite increase in prices give good value for money in comparison to what you get with other takeaways.

The food is fresh and excellent. Had a huge box, which was undoubtedly large and well worth it and too friendly. I will surely return later.

30 mins longer than original estimate and food items missing

Main food such as noodles, rice, chips are all bland. Don’t have much taste at all just a filler to put less from station 2. Portion sizes are abysmal, boxes are not even properly full and they don’t allow for extra since apparently they get fired for putting normal amounts. Picture is of a large box, i had only eaten 3 pieces of chicken. you can see how empty this is still. Do not get from here if you want a good bang for your buck 🤬

prices have increased and portions have decreased. the amount of meat allowed is 5 pieces per servings. the base is hugely importionate to the amount of beef/chicken given. they do not stack boxes and it is left the already small boxes half empty. the small box and the medium container the same weight of food in both so shows how skewed the prices and portions are here.

I normally eat it there and its always tasty but I got it delivered it this and the chicken was dry and burnt.

Food is great however on delivery was missing the drinks and side that were ordered with the food.

Honestly so underrated and such lovely food. When i go i order spring rolls chips salt and pepper chicken and curry sauce and i can honestly say it is one of the yummiest chinese restaurants and the price is very reasonable

1) Chill with the salt please. It's too much 2) it took >1hr to eat a medium box. I had to push through. It's not the quantity but rather the taste

The food quality has downgraded when they first opened it was great and now it’s really bad the portions are also smaller than it first was wouldn’t recommend it now

Rude management and need the prices sorting out

Get your prices sorted!?!? I'm sick of waiting in a qué for a random number that changes everytime I order the same thing!!! £4 for salt and pepper chips is insaine!! The food is great which is why I keep going back but the prices are silly! And they never make up there mind!

Very bland brown fried rice with no salt. Sweet and sour chicken only sweet, no sour. Salt and pepper chips were ok.

The egg fried rice is bland and does not taste like egg fried rice at all the salt and pepper chicken was a little too salty the beef in black bean sauce was the best out of everything

Been a while since I visited Yangtze and I was so disappointed. The quality of food has plummeted as has the range on offer. Food was salty and tepid. Not impressed one bit.

No idea went to shop next door as que was too big for food so must be good will try again when not to busy

First of all, the employee touched my food with her hands(onion rings), and the food is terrible,the onions rings and spring rolls was uncooked on inside, the rice had no taste , and the chicken was way too salty

What an amazing little place. Fresh Chinese food.. deals on box sizes. They pack the boxes to the brim too.. very fresh. Very tasty. Lovely staff. Seats available in food court.

food nice but workers are rude and nasty

To my surprise every dish was fresh&tasty.We had 2 small boxes(more then enough to feed my teenager).We wouldnt finish a big box.Usually I had an experience of very dry chicken-from other take aways.This one was super juicy.

Despite the hesitation upon seeing the negative rating of this place, I plucked the courage to try it and the food was nice. A little different to what I usually eat but then again I do like trying different from time to time. Reasonable prices too. For the record, I has the egg fried rice, salt & pepper chicken & somaso. Layered in both of the novel sauces.

I could not believe this! A note attached to my receipt saying: ''sorry, we don't have enough rice. I give you some chips and a chicken filet. Sorry about that''. How can Yangtze Manchester Arndale treat a customer this way? I should be refunded. I do not want Fish and Chips!

Had food poisoning from here twice now, a year apart, so obviously nothing has been done. Jokes on me, I just really want noodles sometimes

1 hour delay.your page doesn’t update correctly. I’ve attempted to call the restaurant and it’s an invalid number. I’ve ordered onion rings buckets and there aren’t any onion ring. Disappointed

ate from there earlier 4 hours later i’m throwing up, having fever and chills not been able to move since. 1000% sure it’s a bad case of food poisoning.

Rude service absolutely no hygiene

The customer service and behaviour of staff is repulsing. The worker named ikifah was verbally abusing customers and horrible towards her own colleagues. People like that have no business working anywhere let alone customer service related jobs. She physically pushed a customer! If this girl is there next time I visit this matter will be taken further as the manager should fire her!

Asked to see the manager after finding a weird bug looking thing in my beef and she hid in the back.

The portions are too small,the new stuff is so rude and unprofessional, I use to eat from this restaurant three-four times per week and i was extremely satisfied. But now i will not eat from this restaurant again.

One of the best takeaways in the city centre; food is always cooked perfectly, and of a high quality standard! The prices compared to what you get is simply uncomapred to anywhere else in Manchester. 26 years in this city, and Yangtze is by far the highest rated place I could possibly recommend to date. Bravo!

I have asked food no spicy,they even dont read the orders

I ordered my food at 16.00 and waited till 20:00 I didn't received my order or refund,worst takeaway ever, wouldn't recommend!

I tried here for the first time and I was not disappointed. The food was excellent and you could taste the freshness of the ingredients xx I had sweet and sour chicken with rice and tried caramel chicken for the first time but certainly won't be the last. I would highly recommend trying yangtze if you haven't before xxx

Ordered the medium size and I found it massive, you can choose three toppings. The food was delicious yummy

3 hours to arrive? Companies like this who manipulate the system by constantly delaying every 20 mins should NOT be allowed on Just Eat. Ruined my whole day. The service from Yangtze is truly disgusting. I ordered from another takeaway, received and ate before I got this order. Refund is the least I should get from this experience. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!

It took just short of 2 hours for our food to arrive when we were given an initial bracket of 30-40 minutes and the restaurant kept changing the status of our order and changing it back. Not happy at all.

The rice is awful tastes like frozen parboiled rice with frozen vegetables added to it. Shame because the actual dishes taste great.
