Yamas Greek Cuisine in Tameside

Writing this as I'm still eating my food, I had a mixed kebab and its the best kebab I've ever had, food came in less than 30 mins aswell

I’ve been a long time customer of Yamas the food was always good with fast delivery. I ordered my usual meal last month and it took 1 hour 15 minutes to get it , The food was lukewarm and was tasteless . But you can have bad days. So I ordered my usual meal again lat night , took over an hour and the food was lukewarm and tasteless , also spent most of this morning strapped to the toilet. Oh you’ve lost my business.

Great customer service at the door with enthusiasm for how good the food is when I asked. Not what you see much nowadays will delivery and the food was excellent in my opinion and I keep it real.

Horrible, ordered a gyros and it was just a box of foul tasting doner meat (ordered chicken) and salad full of onions... no bread, about 5 chips and the sauce was disgusting... an honest insult to call that Greek food :(

Are you joking with the garlic bread????? 6 50 for, well never seen such a mess. I'm still in shock.

My partner enjoyed his kebab. I have ordered pasta tubes stuffed with vegetables and baked with tomato sauce which turned up to be an overcooked penne pasta -very disappointed.

The mixed grill is probably fhe best £20 char-broiled delivery meal in Tameside

Pizza was nice and the kebab but halloumi cheese salads weren’t great

We order from this takeaway quite often as the staff are friendly, the service is fast and we love Greek food. Always a pleasure.

I ordered a mixed fatayer, the delivery was good but I was really disappointed in the quality of the food as half way through I was found myself chewing a chicken bone in the middle of my food. This has obviously put me off from firstly finishing my meal and secondly ordering from here again. Really disappointed!

Had 2 separate orders delivered. Food was amazing, good size portions, arrived in a timely manner and hot. Can’t fault the service one bit. I will be ordering again!

1st time ordered from yamos and im very impressed. had mixed calzone and spiced cheese wedges. distance no problem and food was delivered hot. 👍

I take various dishes from Yamas and honestly would say it is always fresh, tasty and big portions. Also love their salads rich in crispy lettuce, tomato, aromatic onion and those small, spicy but not to hot peppers on top.

I order from Yamas often since moving to dukinfield. The order tonight and the previous order were disgusting, food quality is terrible recently and will no longer be ordering from here again. Food was coated in some sort of spice and the meal did not look appetising. Really disappointed with recent orders, used to really enjoy the food from here.

Everything was perfect. Donner meat and the bread all seem better since last order (it was good then also).

Gorgeous food, arrived really hot and was delicious, as always. I can highly recommend the cheesy garlic mushrooms too!

I specifically ordered for delivery on or after 20:15 as I had an online meeting to attend. The delivery person who rang my doorbell at 19:30 apologised when I pointed out that the delivery was 45 minutes early, and offered to call the restaurant. I accepted the delivery when I realised there was nothing that could be done. My meeting was interrupted and the food was cold when I got to it. Because the salad and sauce had already been added, i couldn't even reheat it in the microwave. I will probably try Yamas again at some point, perhaps when I next celebrate a special day, but this time it was a failure and a disappointment. The three quid refund didn't quite cut it.

The pizza, chips and salad was bang on, a lot of the meat was more gristle than meat, with being so late on delivery, think just rushed through and it turned my stomach with that much fat in the meat.

Best kebab I've ever had its huge defo worth the money.. delivery is always early by atleast 15/20mins which is always a massive bonus.. defo 5 star 🌟

Absolutely amazing chicken gyros, meant to review this after eating as it was sooo so nice and literally arrived about 15 minutes after ordering, couldn’t believe it and was over the moon as we were starving, I’ve been back since which I’ll review in a moment and it also arrived within about 15 minutes of ordering, so it wasn’t just a one off, so happy will be back again soon thankyou

The pork gyros was bad, the meat was disgusting.

The jalapeños bites were very cold like they had been kept in a fridge

Never had an issue before but it was half an hour late and it was not got at all. It was cold. Was not impressed and my children are late because of them.

Was told 5 mins away at 7.30 turned up 8.20 , ice cold and refried chicken wings , disgusting

It’s was perfect. Couldn’t ask for better food. Always go here for my chillies hummus and pittas couldn’t ask for better service.

2nd time using this restaurant disappointed that I paid for extra pepperoni on pizza and didn't have any. But, still outstanding tasty good and the kebabs are out of this world.

Wings burnt,both our chips looked and tasted cooked twice, no salad on burger. Second time now a major drop in quality. Real shame. Was the biggest fan of this place.

Excellent kebab as usual. Tried some hummus from here for the first time and it was delicious and full of flavour and probably one of the best hummus I’ve eaten :-)

Really nice as always, could have done with some more chips and sauce on the gyros but still enjoyed it! The jalapeño balls are to die for! Delivery driver was absolutely lovely :)

27/10/2023, this food used to be lovely so i gave u one more chance tonite, never again, food was cold, donner was like leather and inedible and the chicken schwarma looked like it was days old, i am not fussy but i wont be wasting my money again, really sorry and hope u get back to how good your food used to be

First time using this restaurant. Kebabs were beautiful and had plenty of meat. Chips slightly over done and soggy but think due to packaging. Definitely use again. Highly recommend

Must admit, this place has gone downhill since I last visited a few years back. Good was passible, just... Doesn't look like they clean regularly either. New layout and new owners by the looks of it. Don't really like leaving negative comments or reviews but I'd stay clear of any of the desert /sweet items. Cake slices are frozen solid in a freezer and it look like the blender to make the milkshakes has NEVER been cleaned. Don't want to sound negative, just giving an honest review so others can make the choice for themselves. Probably won't visit again as the food was OK... But just OK

Food was up their with the worst I’ve ever eaten. Had to air fry chips on arrival and threw the rest away. Abysmal !!!

Kebab special box with gyros, unbelievable with the yoghurt sauce, have it regularly, rather have the sauce on it already than in a pot but 10/10 either way

Wow!!! Had a huge mixed kebab with mild chilli sauce and wasn’t disappointed meat was so good and plenty of salad included green and red peppers too proper Greek salad!! Perhaps a little less sauce for me will specify on my next order, fast service too arrived hot!! Well done definitely recommend!!👏👏

Walked there is no where to sat even though they enough space for spaces etc. I asked if they had halal food they said only the chicken. I didn't trust it so decided two different type of vegi kebabs, he's says you sure it's not halal, I said I know it's vegi, he was like but it's cooked with same cooker as the rest of the stuff. I told him leave it and walked out. Forget the halal side of it, how you cooking vegi stuff with meat products.

Ordered through Just Eat. Didn't turn up. Called them an hour after the estimate delivery time, still didn't turn up. If you are hungry, don't order from here.

Cheese sticks were burnt but cold

Sorry to say not the best falafel seemed over cooked and dry . Halloumi not the best and the wraps were like flat bread. Sorry to say don’t think I’ll be going again…..

The gyros kebabs were really nice disappointed with the Greek salad which consisted of loads of lettuce about 4pieces of feta a couple of baby tomatoes and about 4 olives for £4.50 not happy also the tzatziki tasted like mint when tzatziki doesn’t av mint in it
