Yakii Express in Loughborough is a true gem! I was blown away by the incredible flavors and quality of the food. Every dish is packed with fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned, and bursting with authentic Asian flavors. Whether you’re craving sushi, ramen, or something else from their diverse menu, Yakii Express delivers on taste every time. The portions are generous, and the presentation is spot on. The staff are friendly and efficient, making the whole dining experience even better. If you’re looking for delicious, fresh, and flavorful food, Yakii Express is an absolute must-try! I can’t wait to return.

Great value for really great food. only slight issue is they only take cash but can easily order online and collect, really friendly owner and a nice decor inside.

Average food portion, Ok service, a bit pricey for the food quality, does the job, nothing more nothing less. Bring your money as it is cash only

I love a bento box and this one was pretty tasty - lovely light tempura on the vegetables, proper sticky rice and nice shredded pickle something - £8. My husband had the duck bento (£8.50) and made sure to finish off all the sauce so I guess it was good. We split a yummy 12-piece sushi too. The woman up front was so friendly and cheery - I would go back just to see her. We took ours to go but it looked pleasant and light and I could see eating inside in future. Intrigued by the eel rice dish so maybe that is for next time.

The menu is simple. You can have rice (Japanese) or noodles with your choice of meat and sauce. Ordered chicken curry rice and tempura prawn washed down with a nice hot Chinese tea. Service was friendly. Food was nice. Price was very reasonable. It was a pleasant experience.

The location is good, in the heart of town. The decor is pleasant. However, what this restaurant does very well is takeaways, and they are justifiably very popular on Deliveroo among those that want a healthier takeout. We go back often for really nice sticky rice, chicken katsu curry or beef BBQ. The menu is not the most wide-ranging, but that's not always a bad thing. It's a place for an easy lunch if you want reasonably healthy rice-based food, fast service and value for money. It's not as upmarket as The Basin, it's functional Japanese. Will keep returning.

Yakut is not very fancy but serves good value Japanese food for either eat in or take away. It has a very small restaurant area with about half a dozen tables. I had the chicken curry with rice which was very nice. The portion was quite generous and very reasonably priced. It is a good place to go if you want a tasty quick meal.

For a few years now I have wished that Loughborough had a sushi place and a place or two has come and gone but not stayed. So when I saw this place I was excited to try it. The menu is simple and the decor straightforward and this is a good fit for the reasonable prices. I bought a large fish sushi box. It was simple (raw salmon, deep fried fish (maybe prawns) and vegetables. This is not a gourmet, travel from miles away, wait two hours to be se bed, “best ever” sushi but it is affordable and local to me so I am happy with it.

We placed an order for sushi, chicken curry & rice & chicken barbecue sauce. The chicken curry was awful. It looked as if it had been frozen then put in a microwave. The rice was on the bottom & the chicken was cut in strips with curry but no curry sauce. The rice was lumpy and tasted awful. The same with the chicken in barbecue sauce. Will not be buying anything from here again

This place has so much potential. From the outside, it looks very inviting.... inside it is nice too. But that’s about the only positive thing I can say. We visited a few months ago when it first opened. We were hoping to find a little gem. The menu was very limited. The choice of either rice or noodles... chicken, beef, prawn or vegetables... and a flavour, katsu curry etc. I went for a noodle dish, the wife went for a rice dish. What we got was barely edible. The food comes in a plastic container, very much like the type you get takeaway Chinese delivered in. My wife’s had plain rice in it, with 5 cold prawns placed on top... and then a squirt of a cold sauce (teriyaki) over the top. I got noodles, with a few thin strips of cold chicken placed on top... and then a squirt of cold sauce (katsu) Each dish is made this way. They don’t even cook your food in the sauce. It simply gets squirted on top from a tomato sauce type container. You don’t get any veg at all So for £5 each we really got perhaps the worst food I’ve ever tasted..... and ripped off I’m surprised this place is still open.. because I genuinely would not eat it again even if you paid me.

This restaurant has some of the best japanese food I’ve had in a while! I ordered the regular katsu curry. It was served in a good sized plastic container to go, and it was filled to the top with rice and generous amounts of chicken and curry sauce. It wasn’t oily and tasted really good! A very good filling meal for only £7. I’m definitely going there again!

Me and my daughter purchased some sushi pots on a Sunday at 12.00 she ate them within an hour of purchasing and after 1/2 hour was violently sick them again after a further 15 minutes, contacted both Asda and the sushi company and they both just blamed each other, I have informed environmental health hopefully they will get to the bottom of it, it’s put us both off for life would never eat anything for them again
