Yak and Yeti in Fife

Came in to order for takeaway today. Ordered lamb saag, lamb ceylonese curry, garlic naan and rice. Food was delicious and so fresh with authentic spices and herbs. Best curries I've had for a while in Fife. Thank you so much team x

Very, very average at best… try the Shimla if your local instead. Nearly gave this place one star due to the poor standard last few orders so I’m hoping they read this. Food too inconsistent. It really does depend on your luck as it can be very different. Had a few good meals but standards have slipped recently so unlikely to return especially as a lot of items are reheated and bought in frozen and not fresh. This is the main thing which is disappointing. If you order from here stick to curries but they are very much hit and miss sadly. Avoid starters and kebabs. Very poor quality. I did give them one final go and was really let down (again). I wasn’t going to bother going in to detail but since it will be my last one from Y&Y I’ll tell you why this meal was very average. Samosa was thrown in the box with some old bits of onion. Taste wise the samosa was infact the highlight of this meal. Good filling and 3 of them so was fair value. What was odd is them sending a pakora sauce for samosa… luckily I had some yoghurt and mint at home to make a typical samosa sauce which made the different. The sauce you sent simply doesn’t work with a samosa! The vegetable rice was an absolute joke (see photo)… about a tablespoonful of diced frozen veg thrown in to a standard pilau… I was craving a rice with chunks of potato or cauliflower or something but for a few tiny chunks of carrot and a pea or two… waste of money and ripping off customers clearly. The Dansak had a bit too much butter so wasn’t enjoyable either and the ginger was a bit strong. Also found a nasty bit of chicken cartilage (cut your chicken properly) not going to post a photo of that as it’s not very nice. Finally the chapati… yes you guys messed that up too, chapati was half cooked… too chewy and this was really frustrating. I won’t be back but have given an extra star being very, very generous… because there is hope if you find better chefs! Sorry! £20 after a small online discount for a meal for one was a waste of money with the meal mentioned above. 2 stars is very generous. The driver was polite so will leave it as a 2…

Took almost 2 hours for delivery of one meal. Arrived cold late. Madras was inedible spicier than a vindaloo and no actual flavour really disappointed as last order was much better.

I just love this restaurant and they are now serving lunch in the bar which is nice and airey... Won't go wrong here at £10.95 for a lunchtime menu.. The Sunday buffet is ideal for tasting new curries ..

Everything was cold, had to put the rice and Curry on plates and microwave them for a minute each to put some heat into them, then put it on the cold nan bread to heat that a little, and dip the cold chicken pakora into the sauce to heat it a bit.

What a tasty curry! Ordered the set meal for one and can’t fault the quality, naan bread was moist and the onion Bhaji was fresh and light, curry had nice sized pieces of chicken and was spicy without being over powered with chilli, overall beats any of the takeaways in the area for quality and value for money.

We went to this place for the first time after having couple delicious deliveries, we just knew this place will be a hit! What can I say, staff, atmosphere, service and of course food - amazing. Its so hard to find such good service in the area. All the food that was delivered to our table was fresh, chicken in our curries was nice and juicy NOT DRY like many other places. Nan... Popadoms... Rice... delish. And to top everything off its actually very resonably priced. Nice decor, you can definatly have a celabration dinner there. Oh and one last thing which I personally really like is no paper napkins on the tables but the classy material ones!

Everything we ordered tasted lovely. The portion sizes were good and everything delivered with care. Will definitely be back again.

Lunch menu very good at £12 for 3 course Indian meal. We have collected take away many times and always enjoyed it. All the food was delicious, waiter was was friendly and helpfull , service was quick, we had an enjoyable experience. Will defo go back to try the Sunday buffet for only £13 too.

The lamb biryani was horrible the meat was grisly and the sauce the fat was floating on top bad and the peshwari naan was wet from condensation and most definitely will not order again

Meal was llate but good quality

Huge portions, food was barely edible. Bland chewy naan bread, tasty but soggy pakora, the curry was far from nice, seems like it’s been frozen and reheated, onions and peppers mushy, chicken chewy and stringy.

Best Indian in the area as far as we are concerned and we have tried them all, great to find an Indian that's not scared to use a proper amount of dough in their nans, food was hot, plentiful and very tasty and on time on a Saturday 5 stars

Very rude customer service, i ordered the wrong thing which was my mistake and when i phoned to order the correct item i was told “it will take too long we are busy” i said its ok i dont mind to which he replied “ it will be 40 minutes” i said thats fine. 50 minutes go by and i phone back for him to be rude and say i never said i wanted it!! Wont be ordering from here again!

😎 Not my usual sort of Sunday lunch. Went in expecting a three course set menu, not a buffet spread. Good value for the price £12.95 👍 Week day lunches are good value also.

partner had been desperate to try this place and I couldn't be bothered cooking tonight. lovely food, cannot compliment it enough. its what I would expect from a sit in restaurant and it was piping hot on arrival. fully recommend if you're looking for a nice curry night!

Fantastic food. The monkfish tikka main dish was put of this world as was the king prawns which were huge and tender. The sauces were wonderfull also. Can't rate this food highly enough and very reasonably priced. One of the best we have ever tasted. So good we had takeaway twice in the week with prompt delivery to the nearby holiday park where we were staying.

First time at Yak and Yeti. It was awesome

Took our visitors from Australia to the restaurant tonight for dinner and everyone of us had a first class meal. Two had the tapas and two chose from the menu. Everyone only had great comments about the food, service and friendliness of the owner and staff. Highly recommend this restaurant

I don't tend to leave reviews, but credit where it's due. That food was exceptional. First time using and probably the best takeaway we've had in years. Ready for collection 20mins after ordering. And really nice folk too. 10/10 Thanks

I have ordered from here so many times and haven’t had a bad meal until now, doubt I will be back. The cheese and garlic naan didn’t taste of cheese or garlic, the haggis pakora was soggy, the achari curry was nice but no where near as nice as it usually is, couldn’t taste the pickle at all and there was hardly in lamb in it. But the delivery came early and the driver was really nice but the food wasn’t good enough.

I had been recommended trying this restaurant and was very disappointed. for the price I was expecting better quality food. chicken was very dry and difficult to eat. sauces were watery and salty.

i ordered a set meal for 2 and peswari nan I don't know what curries they have sent but not what we ordered taste less. peswari nan never even arrived the 2 curries were aweful pakora was brick hard best thing on our plate that tasted like it should was the spiced onions won't be back

Did not receive the full order that I paid for, missing 2x pilau rice and a garlic nan bread, have been phoning for last 25 mins but no answer, not happy at all

Waited over 2hours for delivery... still nothing despite reassurances from the restuarant that order is on it's way. Really poor show from a usually great place. They need to address this ASAP

3 hours after we've placed the order and the food hasn't arrived. No one answering the phone so have no idea if it's actually coming or not. Won't be ordering delivery again.

Food is always delicious but disappointed tonight with it, slightly cold and late delivery. Nearly 2 hours from order time to actually getting food

We had a problem with our main dishes and the manager promptly arrived himself with new dishes and apologised. The replacement dishes were much better but still lacking something but overall was a huge improvement on the first delivery. I would say his service was 10/10 so would recommend based on that. The driver was also very friendly the first time. Would try again but I think it’s important what you order. The freshness second time around was evident and if they can maintain that, all good.

First time but not last. The place is comfy and great atmosphere, relaxed. Beautiful pictures in the walls with landscapes from Nepal etc. The staff is kind and professional and the food is superb. Very different and traditional. You can choose for a sitting in or takeaway but the takeaway isn’t what we understand as takeaway food, is more elaborated and tasteful. Definitely recommend for a great experience.

Good place to go for lunch midweek. Food is very tasty, well presented, above average for 'business lunch' and the staff are very pleasant and service is quick. Usually pretty quiet during the week so little in the way of atmosphere but still a pleasant environment.

I was not happy with our delivery, it was 15 mins late and the quality was not up to par unfortunately. The chips were soggy and the food was cold. We were really looking forward to this and we didn’t get what we were expecting.

My absolute favourite restaurant in Fife.

Munchy box was shocking. Over cooked and dry. Phoned them over the phone to tell them. But clearly they don't doubt there food. Making out there wasn't nothing wrong with it. It wasn't enjoyable at all. Won't be ordering again
